I think it might have been one of those preventative measures for people who don't know how to install pedals you know? It looks like they use these on a lot of their other bikes too
I think it's a great anti-theft thing too, as you can leave the bike locked up whilst removing the battery & peddles - making it less appealing to any (scum of the earth) E-bike thief.
@@maximumchargeEVIt sits nicely in the middle of pretty much all your E-bike tests, which tells me this is a good performing E-bike. ...Shame about the speed cut off at 20 & 28 mph though, but other than that it's very cool, and that gearbox is the stuff of E-bike dreams 👍⚡🚲
It's a great thing ain't it?! As it will make other manufacturers take note and start putting better tech on their e-bikes - which can only be a good thing for E-biking in general 👍
Fantastic Review (as per usual) Alex, This e-bike is packed with cutting edge technology, especially at the price, it's impressive. Although I'm not a massive fan of how it looks, and the throttle speed cut-off at 20mph & 28mph cut-off for max speed could be annoying I guess. Tech wise this e-bike is packed with great features, the pinion shifting gearbox and carbon belt drive, for the price is really good! Overall this does seem like a great E-bike, I like the removable peddles too, they could be very handy for leaving the bike locked up, as you could remove the battery & pedals to make it less appealing to an E-bike thief. Seems Lectric are ahead of the competition when it comes to E-bike tech, which is great as it will only push other E-bike manufacturers forward in a better way. Great review! 🚲⚡👍
I have about 50 miles now, on my Lectric ONE. I really like this e-bike, but I have one major complaint. There is no proportional control to the motor! When using the throttle lever, or when pedaling, the motor control is either at 0% or 100%. In South Florida, on flat terrain, in PAS1, I basically have to throttle, or pedal, at 9 mph. In PAS2 I basically have to throttle, or pedal, at 15 mph. In PAS2, to drive the e-bike at 13 mph, I have to pedal, then coast, then pedal some more. I think the motor control algorithm could be improved, integrating the proportional motor power up and down, based on the pedal cadence, and the current speed.
@ before I started modifying the bike I told Christian what I was doing. I didn’t want him upset anyone he was totally on board with it and was looking forward to it
The controller is not actually in the battery mount not sure where it is, but it’s not in there because I tied my second battery in at the battery mount
It may have great tech, quality build but all their bikes are hella ugly. You look ridiculous on it. I've got a reputation to uphold! Not my jam..😂😂😂 🤙 but I still watch all yer vids . Gracias..
I believe the company is underestimating just how much looks play a part in purchasing ebikes. Seems like a great bike but id be embarrassed to be seen riding that.

Very cool app/Pinion gear setup
Love that pedal install and removal feature

Acceleration and hill tests...nice
It did surprisingly well!

Lectric setting standards in the EB world. Love it.

Great little bike! Awesome job Alex!

Very unique!
Very!
Ain't it mate?!

You definitely get a big bang for your buck with that ONE... No pun intended.😂😂
🤣
I love this little bike ❤
It feels like a treat to have a lightweight bike, even if it's slower, it's so much easier than moving around the bigger stuff
@ before I started modifying the bike I told Christian what I was doing. I didn’t want him upset anyone he was totally on board with it and was looking forward to it
Would love to get one as a workout bike, but at $2k + shipping to Hawaii it kills the deal. Would gladly pay 1k for a really fun workout bike 😂
The controller is not actually in the battery mount not sure where it is, but it’s not in there because I tied my second battery in at the battery mount
Oh that's interesting. I probably should have looked closer before assuming. Oops! Good luck with your build man!
Biggest ding....20 and 28 mph cutoffs and no front shock
Yeah it's not for the speed demons
Bruce, it’s really a fun bike ride. I enjoy it a lot.
@GarysE-BikeAdventures from now on just tell Bruce he's riding a motorcycle and make sure to call him mister

Is it a manly bike?
What kind of bike does a real man ride? Whichever type he wants to.

1:58 I'm out. 20 MPH is lame and dangerous.
i want to speed hack the throttle
Steep hill climb....nice!
