Bummer! It'll still be sweet, but yeah, bit of a bummer unless you can sell it unused to someone else for a slight deal. Make back most of the money and upgrade. The first edition is still a great bike for a great price, you wouldn't be ripping them off, especially if you sell it for $100 less than you bought it.
you didn't go wrong its still a great e bike fore sure I've had mine for about 5 months now i do want the break light and turn signals and front shocks for sure.
You are my primary source of info on this bike so I will use your link when I buy it. So excited to feel the torque sensor! That range for that price! The cargo capacity! I'm salivating :) I'm probably gonna rewatch this video 20 times this winter until I buy it. Best expect a bunch of stoned hobo rants to show up in the comments lol :)
Thanks for the great information and continued bike and cycling community support. The new bike looks great, and I really do like the Lectric Bike company. However, I wish there was a way for Canadians to get access to companies like Lectric. As of right now, there are only 2 large brands available up here.
Can you ship it to usa and come get it? I'd imagine you'd pay some sort of tax, but canada and usa are friends so it seems like you should be able to. Bit of a hassle, but this bike looks worth it.
I bought an Xpedition last spring. At the time, they were shipping to Canada for a flat rate of $200. They stopped shipping to Canada this summer, which is really unfortunate. I don’t understand why.
i got the xpedition about 5 months ago i love it but now i want this bike i got work to do now through out the winter to get this before next summer. i will absolutely get this 2.0
I personally don't like going over 32 fastest I've gone down a hill is 42 though with a trailer as the extra weight pushes ya, but I'm normally hulling 150 plus.
Since it's a cargo bike and doesn't fold I don't need quick release pedals. Is the quick release part on the crank removable so a different pedal can be used?
Looks like a pretty nice bike. I had the Lectric XP Lite for a while, the kid that was living with me for a while (not really a kid he is 26yo) kind of tore it up, not sure what all he did to it, but it was having issues shutting off, or randomly the motor would stop working. I'm thinking of buying another Lectric just don't know which model need something with a bit more motor power I think the XP Lite would struggle on the hill by my house all the time. Not sure I'd need the Xpedition I don't really carry cargo, but I'd like to be able to pull a bike trailer though.
That chart you scrolled down around 16:12 was not useful. It was hard to move the video along at a rate to see it with how fast you scrolled and I have no idea what all that multiplier stuff means. Is there a better explanation somewhere? A better pdf and article? I'll go check their website.
Well apparently I messed up... I just ordered 2 of the standard cargo bikes that shipped today... then got an email that they introduced the 2.0 today... 😢
@HoboGardenerBen thankfully it's only pre-order for shipments starting Jan 5th... but the newer bikes provide better safety for my wife being on dialysis lol soooo give n take I suppose 😆
Well, not sure if its a great choice anymore...saw a couple of reviews that were saying it is hard to engage and disengage - seems the weight balance on the stand is off a bit
More color options would be nice, don't like the white or the shade of blue they chose. Oh well, I can always do that myself after buying it. Yeah, that sounds fun, I'll make it mine that way. But still, more colors would be smart, I bet a lot of people will not be excited about that part. Maybe offer a way of paying extra for it to be done professionally at whatever color\pattern you want. Lots of sweet painting tech out there these days, could have a robot booth that does it like a sort of 3D printer. Some sort of interface that allows the user to create their own design that is then replicated perfectly by the machine would be awesome, a good way to build even more steam in the market. A lot of people pay big bucks just to decorate their online personas, they will certainly pay to customize their bike's design if available.
2.5 will give slightly better range/ride on streets, and most cargo bikes are made with street riding in mind. The larger battery will come with larger dimensions, is are they would have to extend the bike length more. Personally I would have preferred 3 inch tires, but I also wish it was the same length as the xpedition 1.0.... can't make everyone happy.
@Jack5822 question now is if the 3in tirewill fit tha 2.0 frame and fork. also, if they will sell a front suspension for the 1.0 as an upgrade. I love my 1.0, except for the lack of suspension
That range is huge step forward. With dual batteries, it would be better just have the second battery just mounted and switch batteries when needed. The risk of battery rebalancing and fire isn't worth it. Your losing customers putting torque sensors on, because they suck
THEY DID HAVE PINK, BLUE & GREEN BUT THEY SOLD OUT QUICK!! HOPEFULLY THEY WILL GET THEM BACK I WILL B GETTING THAT PINK!! SO DONT WAIT IM TELLING U THE COLORS SELL OUT FAST!!!
Don't understand why anyone would want a torque sensor on a bike made for hauling heavy gear, why would anyone want to peddle heavy gear harder, why not a cadence sensor so you could just ghost pedal to move the loaded bike..You could still get exercise with a cadence sensor, if that is what you are after..Or if your using the bike for delivery, you don't want to peddle as hard as possible all day long to make decent time..The torque sensor revolution has infected some bikes it shouldn't have..It's a cargo bike, for cargo...And personally, I think it's a bad call to have small children in the back of these bikes but, to each his own..I like a torque sensor only on commuters only, and even then, not always..
You gotta ride a Lectric bike, they're well made and haul ass. Solid feel, amazing price\value. I had the 2020 XP and it was great. Sold it because it had bad riding geometry for when the power ran out in my hilly area. This solves that by having so much range.
Oh boy did they listen! What do you think they missed? What do you think could have been better?

Just my luck. I bought the original XPedition three days ago and here comes bigger and better 2.0

Trust me, I'm of the same mindset. Mt Xpedition is in shipping and here they are with 2.0. SMH
@@carrieroriskany3771try to call them before it arrives
Same here!
Almost wish I hadn't bought the Xpedition 1.0 just this last summer. The new 2.0 has so many upgrades.
How many miles do you have on it?
Me too. I have under 15 miles on mine, but I got it late in the summer with all the shipping delays.
SAME I just bought mine last summer Grrrrrrr😅
BUT... I WILL SAY, THE 1.0 IS VERY SWEET
@@EbikeEscapeI have like 180 miles on mine! Seriously considering selling it and buy in the 2.0.

Pretty much

I think it's worth the upgrade provided you can sell your old one for a reasonable price.
@ oh absolutely was thinking about that just not sure exactly where to do that
I personally don't like going over 32 fastest I've gone down a hill is 42 though with a trailer as the extra weight pushes ya, but I'm normally hulling 150 plus.
Me neither, I like cruising around 12-18mph the most, feeling the flow, the glorious physics of man\bike centaur union :)
Since it's a cargo bike and doesn't fold I don't need quick release pedals. Is the quick release part on the crank removable so a different pedal can be used?
Yes.

does it have cruise control feature?
How well are the spokes going to hold up, versus a mag wheel?
Those kickstands look like they are the center stand by URSUS. If so, great choice!

How does this compare to the Aventon abound?
Fisheye distortion of your back facing handlebar camera makes your arms look crazy long and skinny but still strong, like a ghoul or something, lol
We need a fat bike expedition with front panniers and water proof large carrying rear paniers for offroad expedition! Yeehaww!
That would be sick, Tern has one but $$$
Any thoughts on how this compares with the Radwagon 5 or Flyer Via Pro?
Lots of similarities now with the Radwagon but it's much cheaper. Might consider doing a direct comparison.
Can you do a update when they come out with the new electric trike two I hope they come out with one before next summer❤❤❤❤❤❤
can you ride the bike without key in it
Aipas A6 cargo has front suspension

thumb throttle is a no go for me
I prefer it way more safe throttle I tend to accidentally move the bike when I go to open my gate getting off or back on the bike.
I plan to swap the thumb throttle for a slim twist throttle. As long as it's just a standard 3 wire, it should be easy enough to switch over.
