  • 7 laps at Terminal Reverse, just under 6 minutes (decent time for the PC version). Miata with stock drivetrain, which was reported to reduce the rubber banding, but it didn't seem to make a difference. Still had to count on the AI randomly crashing.

I don't play any of the NFS series much anymore, but someone asked about the theory that using Miata with stock drivetrain would slow down the AI cars. It may have slowed them down a bit, but they still end up passing the players car., but are programmed to randomly crash, allowing the player to win an event. Some of the random crashes involve traffic, but there's no traffic on this event, so the AI are crashing less often.

@@Bzyczek - My first NFS was NFS II (1997 - it could run on Windows NT 4.0 with just Direct X 3.0). There's a web site with old videos going back to Aug 2003 (before there was a youtube), but they're all .wmv files. You can find them at rcgldr.net.

Hello, RCGldr. How are you doing today?

"Most Wanted mod" - the last NFS I bought was Shift 2, so I don't have the second Most Wanted (only the 2005 version). I haven't been playing many racing games lately. I made this video of Enduro because someone asked if the old theory of using Miata with stock drivetrain would reduce rubber-banding | catch up mode. In this video, the lead AI car passed my car, but crashed and ended up third. The second AI car didn't pass, but that may have been due to too few laps left. So Miata with stock drivetrain may not prevent AI from passing, but it may reduce how far ahead they get, and they always seem to randomly crash at least once. "How are you doing" - I got an electric unicycle last August. It's just a hobby for me (don't use it to commute), and I have about 590 miles on my V8F (electric unicycle) now. There are 2 videos of me riding when I first started. My wife and I are going out more often now that venues have re-opened since covid shut them down.

@@TheShveyn04 - maybe what? I forgot to mention, I use analog controller (joysticks) for racing games, and some (or most?) of the newer NFS games don't support the classic analog controllers, and it wouldn't matter that much since I lost interest in racing games, although I occasionally play one of the older ones or make videos. The last games I bought were the most recent Tomb Raider series (2013, 2015, 2018). As for Underground 1, like many players, I found the catch-up | rubber banding to be annoying.
