    1. Leave it alone.
    2. Protective style. 3-4 weeks
    3. Keep it simple. Keep your hair rangement simple. Stick to what works. Ignore video that has high manipulation of hair.
    4. Moisture your ends. Baby ur ends/be gentle with your ends. Seal your ends.
    5. Take picture for motivation. Before and after.

The texture God gave u is the best and it makes u look the greatest in ur unique look,so when u start looking like anyone else ur beauty shrinks and u are not as noticeable as u were with ur natural hair and yes that's why europeans stopped Afrikan from wearing their hair in natural texture cus they were drawing attention #so attractive and thus them pale race wanted to kill all the black greatness they forced them not to show their hair till they started making straight hair wigs for them.so yes when u rock ur natural hair u appear highly attractive but u also have to feed ur hair as u feed ur body so it can look healthy like this gal in the video.

Yaaas. I had my 4C hair in plaits ALL THE TIME until I was 16 and my hair was down to the middle of my back and would have been longer if I didn't cut it every time I washed. Then I foolishly decided to relax my hair when I was 16 and nah my hair wasn't having it. Broke off to about shoulder length, lost about 6-8 inches. Worse decision if my life. Stopped that after about a year but also stupidly decided instead of plaits I would wear it out and straighten it EVERY DAY for about a year. Idiot. I haven't straightened my hair for about a year now and I keep it in plaits most of the time and every time I take it out I see growth. Never again putting consistent heat or chemicals on my hair😩😩

This is the regimen I do below, My hair is fine strand, lowpo, 4c, and I solved all my natural hair issues w/ this. I'm retaining length like crazy. I learned it by finding a common link with a bunch of type 4 long hair ytbers I've been case studying, including those chebe women from chad. freely share this info.
    1. Shampoo (I use v05). Its important to use a real shampoo, not cowash. cowash does not remove product build up, making it impossible to hydrate your hair(hydration is when the water gets inside the hair shaft)
    2. Rinse out condition (also v05)
    3. *L(liquid)* I use a spray bottle filled with either fermented almost boiled rice water (the rice is near boiling before I drain the water, then ferment for a few days), any herb powder(chebe, ayuvaderic, etc) mixed with warm water, regular warm water and a squirt of rinse out conditioner, or herb tea.
*C (water based cream)* A water based thick moisturizer. Should not contain hydrolyzed protein, silicones, mineral oil or alcohol(which make the moisturizer evaporate quickly). You can use a leave in that contains mineral oil if it is exclusively for *remoisturizing* inbetween wash day. But directly after washing any leave in you are putting is meant to contribute to you hair's hydration. I recommend soft and beautiful botanicals deep conditioning hair masque. They also have an actual leave in that is good. I prefer their hair masque, as its thicker, which means more lubrication and protection. both are good and thick though. Blue magic has some leave in creams that contain mineral oil, that can be used *exclusively for remoisturizing* , like their argan oil one.
*G(grease)* I recommend blue magic indian hemp. It has mineral oil/petroluem, Lanolin(sheep sebum), and a bunch of plant oils (castor, olive, coconut, etc). It also has herbs that help hair growth.
    4. band/thread the hair with ribbon or hair tie. Make sure when you are wearing wig, that you either use an inside out dome cap, or you use a satin scarf under a wig cap. This is better for hair.
    5. Remoisturize and relubricate hair biweekly between wash days, using LCG. Wash day should be no more often than every 14 days, and you can stretch out wash days for 1-2 months or more. If you do, its imperitive, not an option, that you take the bands/ribbons down to do LCG 1-2 times a week, preferrably 2. *This is because LCG itself is a protective style.*
I recommend this regime below to train curls. Once curl starts to define from roots after step 3 is rinsed out, you don't need to do it, the above regimen will define your curls with less work. Always work in sections:
    1. *if Low porosity:* 1/2 to 1 teaspoon of bakingsoda, a good squirt of conditioner, a small squirt of shampoo, and fill w/ warm water in an 6-8 oz or more applicator bottle or old conditioner bottle. Shampoo is added because of grease, and to remove any product build up of oils.
*if High porosity:* A small squirt of conditioner, a small squirt of shampoo, 50% ACV 50% water in an old conditioner bottle/ 6-8 oz applicator bottle
    2. Let sit under cap for 15 minutes, rinse, then deep condition over night.
    3. The next day, or after you've deepconditioned, greenhouse effect, or steam for at least 30 mintues, do either a bentonite clay rinse, a clay wash, or blend an extremely overripe advocado in a blender and wear on the hair for 30 minutes.
    4. Then, do LCG. Sometimes you can put aloe juice after the grease. Then band hair or thread with ribbon. Keep ribbon a centimeter away from ends, then use hair band to tuck hair into a mini bun, tucking the ends.
    5. Take out bands and LCG biweekly until next wash day. No sooner than 1 week, should your wash day be. The reason is with fine 4c hair strands, they really cannot stand that frequency of manipulation if you want significant visible growth consistently. Ideally, no more often than 7-14 days, preferably 14. You can stretch your wash day to 1-2 months, or even longer. *The key is BIWEEKLY remoisturizing with PROPER LCG, inbetween wash days.* Otherwise you are going to stunt potential growth.
Not just slapping on some oil on dry hair, not just spraying hair with water, that ends up evaporating in 40 minutes. Use LCG, because it isn't just remoisturizing, it is also Re-LUBRICATING, and reapplying the protective barrier the cream and grease give your hair. Lubricated hair means hair that doesn't mat, hair that doesn't break when detangled, and it is also pretty much a protective style, especially when using grease. Grease is better than plant oil is alone. It completely prevent matting, where as plant oil alone does not, nor does it lubricate as effectively. cream with grease is better than grease by itself.
Everything I use is extremely cheap but I know how to use it, and it works. I never get matting, no single strand knots, shed hair slides out.I retain max length potential.
ppl that do biweekly or weekly LCO btwn wash days 22nd century natural hair woman, Craving Curly Kinks, Fusion of Cultures, the Chebe women in Chad, Africa(they never wash, they just do unbraid their hair and LCO over and over every 5 days). Dephne Madyara uses LCG. All extremely long hair. The key is they biweekly spray hair with water, or herb tea/rice water, use a cream and seal with a thick grease or butter. It is super effective. And yes the chebe women do use leave in, I watched the interveiwer's second video where she expanded on it.
Threading and banding is better than braid/cornroll/twist. You dont worry about takedown causing needless manipulation. That Is why I band my hair. Its easy to remove. Also a seamless comb is great for dry detangling on washday. Only detangle on wash day.

AND NO IT DO NOT SMELL 😷 LOLBVS ....also I do oil my scalp while it is braided... JUST SHARING A LITTLE TIP THAT WORKED AND WORKS FOR ME ON MY NATURAL HAIR JOURNEY ......

Bunnix Doll I finally figured out a wash and go (only took me 20 years 😂) and I have to only refresh my hair every 4-5 days! Otherwise my hair gets too dry. I'm manipulating it less because I set my curls in place. Then the next 4 days I just put my hair to bed and fluff with oil in the morning. I didn't understand why so many folks swear by their wash and go...but now??? I'm hooked!!! I would heat less blowout my hair before. But the wash and go is my go to now 😇

Yes, girl, Thank you for these. My hair is at my bra and I dont have to pull on it to show inches either and this is after doing this for 7 months. After years of not being able to find black or white hairdressers who can do my hair.I work as a model and actress so As a brown woman in the industry I have spent hours crying in hairdressers chair trying to make my god given hair work and you changed the whole game for me and how I see my hair. Its not a nightmare anymore , its a gift from god now.

+Sincere Hoodlum I'm a guy with 4c hair too and don't feel that way. It's not ugly, 4c hair is poppin. An Afro is lit asf especially a big one. Don't let these lil thots that only love you when you got waves make you feel some type of way about your hair. There's no pill for loosening hair texture or getting curly hair, but you don't need it. Society is what needs to take a chill pill. Every hair type is beautiful. Rock on with your hair! It's bomb. Plus, don't feel like you gotta impress the world. If a girl is shallow enough to be attracted to a guy simply cuz he got curly hair, do you really wanna be with her?

Yas ma'am!! My number one tip is the same: LEAVE YOUR HAIR ALONE. I look all types of crazy 4-5 days out of the week because I don't do anything to my hair. I've gotten to the point where I only "style" my hair a few times a year. Now I'm one of those folks whose hair grows outward but now it's a little pass bra length. Great video girl!!

Accidentally came across your video. This has been the best advice I've seen. I do absolutely nothing to my hair. It's grown like wild fires. Also, there are tons of cool and optional styling not necessarily for everyone. Still havent found my main products because I'm not sure if low manipulation is the key or products. I love this! Thank you for simple and insightful truth.

Girl if your hair is 4c mine has to be 4z because the way my hair can be so disrespectful..... and I am not even talking about combing it. It is very hard to comb. I shed tears every time I comb it while dry!!!!!

    • @Harukiraa
      @Harukiraa 7 лет назад +36

Try to comb your hair only when it has conditioner in it. I have like 3b/3c hair but it gets tangled very easily (like almost instantly after i detangle) and the best thing I found was to do it when it has a lot of thick conditioner in it. Makes the whole process easier since it makes your hair more "slippery."

You're spot on with the info. I am a licensed barber stylist & I'm natural (7 years) & have color in my hair. the 1st few years I went without my locs I noticed my hair grew faster (with protective styling) but when I began to wear my hair out (& people touched it without permission) I noticed it always looked the same length. I have shoulder length now & have always been a fan of getting my ends clipped. I'm committed now to protective stylist, aphogee treatments & clippings. My hair could have been knee length by now lol.

I really like your content and the fact that u embrace this texture. Most cave into what they believe is high maintenance or the pressure of society's standard that doesn't accept our hair textures beyond 4a. And I'm not even talking about other races which sad. I struggle with my texture that varies through my head and have finally come to the realization that I need to KISS it. Keep it simple stupid and just moisturize with extremely low manipulation. Definitely agree with this re: 4C hair. I am growing my hair out again after chopping it off in 2015 and my trial/error experience is much like yours. My hair is pretty fragile from age, having heavy locks for 10+ years and wearing hair extension styles that thinned TF out of my edges, so I just keep my hair in protective styles like plaits and twists, and don't comb/tease/fuss with my hair at all. Turns out that was the best thing for it.
Your hair is gorgeous, btw. Subscribed and I am sharing your channel with my fellow 4C friends who have similar hair troubles.

I love her videos I needed a picker-upper today. I lost my hair length again. 4 inches gone I wanted to rock a beautiful style for Memorial Day , on her videos she said that she haven't been to a salon in six years .. I know the rules about 4C hair people can be jealous because that's not silky hair that's not that fine hair that you can just roll your fingers through but once we get length and people see that 4C hair can grow long and beautiful oh my God I was careless, and that's what I get. before I even went I said to myself you finally got 12 inches of beautiful natural 4C hair don't go! but I went anyway and I didn't comb my hair all the way out and I sat there and let her rip my hair out she did it so slick that I didn't even know it , damn damn damn
people are jealous of 4C hair I finally GET IT

Don't isolate yourself. There are people who have been through what you might be facing right now and they overcame it. Don't push people away, surround yourself with people who are spiritually mature and get the help that you need. Isolation when you are in pain and don't know if there's a way out is dangerous and that's why we have suicide cases. Listen, there's nothing that you can be facing that God is not able to solve for with God nothing is impossible. Hold on. Jesus loves you.

You have da most beautiful hair I've seen in my entire life.. you'd look SOOO good wit goddess loxs, BUT then you wouldn't be able to see that gorgeous c4 texture. LEAVE IT ALONE is amazing advice. I've struggled wit that my entire life. Dreadlocks is a great alternative an I wish more women would wear them. Protective styling is absolutely key.
