- Hey guys!
Thanks for stopping by! Today I'm sharing with you how I QUICKLY moisturize and seal and use essential oils to retain moisture in my hair and facilitate hair growth and length retention during the cold Winter months. As we all know cold air makes the hair loose moisture quickly and lead to breakage. During Winter, I do this at least a couple times a week to retain moisture in my hair.
Thanks for watching!
I hope it helps or inspires!!

You and nappy fu are the only ones who have my hair type, I’m tired of seeing so many fake 4c hair girls that are just labeling their videos that for the views 🙄
Try Starpuppy
Craving Kinky Curly is another true 4c hair sister. It's funny. I remember not too long ago type 4 hair was the most hated hair type on the planet now we have imitators trying to steal our thunder. I am aware that we still have a long way. The truth is after you truly embrace your coils and fiqure out which techiques and products work for your hair you will discover your own natural beauty. But like everything else it is a process.
@Crystal Blue , Exactly, we will have to just continue to defend our territory. Call out the fakes/frauds and support each other.
Kagome Hahahhaha bro
Phalyn Williams yes
My hair is in twist right now and will be under a wig for the rest of the winter. No heat. Minimal stretch. Water and Jamaican black castor oil, daily. 👑
I read that it was NOT a good idea to microwave the products because the radio waves have an adverse effect on the nutrients in the oils, herbs, etc. A double boiler or putting the oil mixture in a water bath will heat the oils without compromising the nutrients! Love you, sis! 🙏🏽🤗🤟🏽
It's not good to do that even more because the preservative will boil off over time.
Microwaves actually don't do anything to nutrients or vitamins. In some cases, they enhance the effects. Just be careful microwaving anything haha
I'm going the research that. Thanks for letting me know! Warm water is probably better!
Thank you replying. I’m looking for my reference, too, but I canNOT find it, so I apologize if this is WRONG. In any event, your hair looked GORGEOUS, and keep your videos coming!!! ✨🤟🏽
Yeah I use a candle warmer and just set the bottle on it while I start then it's warm by the time I'm done spritzing and stuff!
I never thought to use 2 different oils for the ends ONLY and than the top part/scalp! I am going to try this!
I actually did this for the first time with my hair today and liked how it felt. It makes sense (keeping your hair moisturized), so I'm gonna incorporate this for the rest of winter.
I have been taking care of my hair like how my mom used to when I was younger (shampoo and conditioner) (grease and moisturizer) and now my hair is pass mid back and its extremely thick but I'm having problems moisturizing and washing cuz its extremely thick but I dont wanna lose my length I'm almost to but length
I hate that people think that grease is bad I grease my scalp 3 times a week 😘😘
Amber Black it depends on ur type of hair.
I have type 3 hair medium density and grease makes my hair look a limp mess.
Maybe because I only wear wash and Gos but grease is only good for twist/braidouts which a lot of us don’t do.
I think it depends on the individual and their scalp. I live grease too. My hair is waist length!!! My mom used grease on my head when I was little and it wad long and thick then
I started using grease 3 months ago and now my hair stays moisturized. Only down the length of my hair.
If it's that long you might start looking for a good salon. That way you can get your washes, conditioning and trimming done to retain length and keep your stands healthy. Good luck!
Kinky hair is not “coarse”. I think this term is misused very often. Our strands are very fine compared to Asian hair that is coarse(their single strand is very thick and tough, thus coarse). If our hair was coarse, we would not need to take extra care of it for us to retain length.
My daughters kinky hair is very fine. She has lots of it, but the strands are definitely not coarse. My neice on the other hand, has very kinky/coily coarse strands. Her hair doesnt break as easily as my daughter's because of that. I think its just an individual thing. Some kinky hair is coarse, some isn't.
Thanks ...did not know that❤
I think she was saying that her particular hair is course.
So right. It took me 40 years to learn my hair was fi e
Sometimes, it is coarse. Everyone does not have your hair.
Your channel is the reason I first fell in love with my natural hair ❤️ you’re a light 💥
can you PLEASE do a video on all the products you use? shampoo, conditioner, moisturizer, grease. i finally found a person with my exact hair type on youtube with long hair and i need to know everything!
She has one already
I made one years ago, but I do need to do an updated one. Thanks for reminding me!
Your ends look really good the thickness has caught up that is what i'm in the process of getting my hair to do AND you said SCALP in this video and not scap! lol (old video reference) thanks for the video.
lol
Very good routine! Thanks for sharing your wonderful routine!
I love love love avocado oil...my hair is always like,🕺💃🕺💃when I put avocado in my oil and deep conditioner...tfs mixtures.
Love your oil mix. I'm going to try it. Also, I use same routine on my faux locs... using very light hand on the sealing oil...
Beautiful hair. Thanks for sharing

Your hair is so pretty. My daughter has hair like yours and I'm trying to found a routine for her. I just subscribe to your channel. Thank your for sharing.
My fav hair channel!
Beautiful Jen, Compliments of the season
You should try the thrive blend essential oil sold at Walmart yes it’s mostly a clove smell but I mixed with olive oil and peppermint and massaged my scalp and it feels so good and moisturized.
This is my exact routine just different products. Every other day I massage with my essential oil concoction and use water, cantu moisturizer, and grease for the hair.
I think you just saved my hair!! I had my hair dyed recently and it is SO DRY despite me wetting and oiling it almost daily. I put the cream on top of my little raggedy braids and massaged it in, THAT'S the step I was missing. Thank you!!
Going to out this routine on my hair while it's in braids. Your hair is gorgeous btw 😍
So strait forward. Nice 👍🏽
Very good routine
Notification gang gan💁🤗😘🙌💃👌
Absolutely gorgeous hair mama🤗
Please, please, please write the names of the essensial oil mixture for me. I know thy work well. I have to buy and mix it too. Thank you love, you are so naturally beau...
Are giving me life I will definitely be trying this method thanks for the tips
Jen what do you do to your hair in a 4 week period? I know you wash monthly. Do you keep your hair in twists most of the time?
Yes, I keep my hair stretched in twists between styling. It's in some form of twists 80% of the time.
I want to know what that music is in the background. I love it
Thank you for the video! I have two questions. How many Twists do you have? And how many times in a week do you do this?
I didn't count this time because I did them smaller. If I know I plan to do a sleek style later, I'll make the twists smaller. If I'm doing some sort of curly style, then I'll make the sections larger. This time each section is about the circumference of a quarter. I keep my hair in twists between styling to keep it detangled and stretched. I keep my hair in twists UNTIL I'm ready to style it, so there's not a set number of times a week that I do it.
@@whatliesbeneaththeweave3518 Ok, got it! Thank you for the reply.
You remind me of craving curly kinks - very similar in the face
I’m new to your channel but how long did it take your hair to reach this length? How long have you been natural? Thanks in advance
So gorgeous
How many months was your baby When you had post partum shedding? I have 3 kids and I didn't lose my edges until my 3rd baby. I couldn't believe how thin my edges were. Thet came back. Not 100 percent tho. My baby was 6 month's when I noticed I could see my scalp.
I want to wear wigs to fro my hair back out but don’t know where to start. I shaved off my hair body and have been rocking it real low and died blonde. My edges thinned out after I had my son so I just cut it all off.You have my hair type to the tea can you help me with where to start to get back to healthy natural hair growing
My edges disappeared after I had my baby too! I hope this video helps.
Thank you for sharing, how often do you shampoo?
Beautiful hair
Have u always oiled ur scalp?
Jamaican castor oil doesn’t clog your scalp ?
Chidera Stephen i think she only used it on the ends. Avocado and grape-seed oil on scalp. I will check again
It makes my scalp itch
Thanks
Thanks
