    Thanks! You’re the first to actually post a work around.

      I didn't realize it until I had a quite a few people ask me about it. I did the research, and sure enough, nobody else has posted anything about being possible. It's a great truck, and you can get them extremely cheap due to the battery issues.

    Tip: To turn off the annoying Start/Stop feature, putting it in Tow Mode or turning on the Defroster is supposed to do it.

      True, You can also turn on the max AC. The fact of having to do any of that is a inconvenient.

    What about the vent system for the (explosive) hydrogen gas? It is inside the cab, so needs direct ventilation to the exterior. I am not sure how to best connect similar Group 47 AGM batteries (Note: Walmart Everstart has a 4 year warranty) with a little vent hole at the top to the existing 5m-6mm (1/4") ID tubes, and what connector goes into the battery.
    All my previous interior auto batteries had existing tubes and 'outtie' (male) connectors.

    • @wutupclegg6618
      @wutupclegg6618  12 дней назад

      The AGM batteries are sealed. They don't have a vent hole to plug the tube's into. The batteries you are looking at might not be AGM batteries that will fit in that compartment.

    Hi, I'm having trouble locating NPP batteries you use here. Ebay sells in 2 or 4 packs, apparently, and Amazon shows unavailable. I am in Canada. So far, other replacements are not ideal dimensions. Any hints?

      Sorry for the late reply. I went and did some research. If you Google the battery, a couple retailers show up. Here is what I found that might help.

    Great video, Thank You for sharing I’ll do this to my truck this spring. It still runs well but not sure the health of the factory battery. Did the computer need to be moved to make room for the new battery install? Thank You again.

      I preferred to move the computer over moving the fuse holders. If I had more time, I would take the box completely out, cut out all the dividers, and try to make everything a lot more compact. Maybe even try to fit it all on one side of the seat. Basically, I am mostly sharing this video to show different batteries will work.

    How short do the batteries need to be (to top of terminal) to fit in the metal box (without touching it)? Max width & length to fit 2 behind the driver?

    • @wutupclegg6618
      @wutupclegg6618  25 дней назад

      in the video, I show the dimensions. I can't remember the measurements off the top of my head. You will need at least a total of 3 batteries. You will have to make up a total of 36 volts. Finding ones that fit in that stock location will be really hard. I did it once, and it took six 12 volt 25ah batteries.

    Is there any way to bench test to the silver-colored Battery Control Module?

    • @wutupclegg6618
      @wutupclegg6618  25 дней назад

      Nothing that I am aware of. If there is a wire diagram of that harness, a test bench could be set up. However, that's going to take some electrical knowledge.

    yo clegg, wut up? 🤣other than $200 whats the difference between the sky rc and hobbywing motor analyzer? i would love to hear your opion, especially if you have experience with the sky rc one

    • @wutupclegg6618
      @wutupclegg6618  6 месяцев назад +1

      Wut up, Dirtrider?
      Both are great units. I looked at all motor analyzers, out there, and found the Hobbywing Tunalyzer to be my best choice due to it being the only one, that I noticed, to have the voltage regulator on it. When comparing motors, you get the most accurate comparisons when you run them with the same voltage. The SkyRC adds the noise meter. That is good to see if your motor is having internal issue, but you can also tell by seeing the numbers your motor is showing. So, those are the only big difference between the Hobbywing and the SkyRC. I hope that was helpful for you.

    • @wutupclegg6618
      @wutupclegg6618  6 месяцев назад

      @@dirtrider88 It is ridiculous. That's why it greatly depends on what you plan to do with it. When comparing motors, just make sure you have the same voltage for each motor. You can use a power supply instead of a battery. This will also give you the same power usage.
