  • I rebuild an old brushless motor, then run it through the tests to see if it is worth the $60 it cost to rebuild it.

1500 to 1590 is a lot of difference in a rotor. Still not super high torque but better for sure.

For sure! I've tested motor with a difference of 20 gauss, and it was a huge difference.

Way too many variables in the testing, the most accurate way to test a motor is on the track comparing lap times.

Absolutely correct! I just replied with the same statement with another video's comment.

Whats the best 17.5 for short high grip carpet track i have a b6.4 i feel more tq and brakes would help alot. Track changes but typically a few 180 turns. Motor in the buggy now is a motiv mc3 its not horrible got it from a friend cheap but i know theres more time to knock off . I know its only a 17.5 but these motors have came such a long way i have an original fixed timing fixed sensor cable novak 17.5 omg what a dog i wish theyed left the motors fixed timing and equal but it is what it is im just looking for suggestions. You mentioned in video surpass hobby? Is there a specific model?

Asking what the best motor out is a good way is to start a keyboard war. LOL... There are a lot of personal opinions out there.
From what I have tested so far, which you can see the latest tests in my Tekin Gen4-R2 Elite video, my personal opinion would be the Tekin and the Surpass V6. They show the highest torque. On the track, I am seeing the Surpass V6 Stock Spec pulling the hardest. I recently tuned a Surpass V6 17.5 motor that had an average stator strength of 171. That is by far the strongest rotor I have seen. If you are interested in a tuned motor, shoot me PM. You can find my email in the channel info section.

Do you think the surpass V6 lite is a good motor?

I believe it is a great motor. I'd be confident using it up against any other motor out there.
