    I've said it before and I'll say it again... this is probably the best channel on YT for actionable, well-presented, and information-packed content for local SEO. I'm amazed that the subscriber count isn't 10X higher! But that's okay. We'll just outrank those who don't know yet. Thanks Luc.

    Hi Luc, watching this yet again... Great advice. I wondered whether including a Services page to act as a hub to individual services pages was something your recommend? I have a client with offices in a few towns with some being a couple of hours drive away from the main office, would it be advantageous to have pages dedicated to each office location? I presume using different content as well as mentioning something unique (what I have no idea) to each location would also serve well?

    thanks Luc. Tip 1, if we add acceptable keywords into the business name on a GBP, that would affect other NAP (name, address, phone) listings right that don’t contain the added keywords? So all major citations should also be updated to match GBP?

    • @rankingacademy
      @rankingacademy  2 года назад +1

      Make sure you have your google business profile set as a service area business. List all the areas you work in. Created content pages on your website to target each location separately. Add unique content to each page. This should be easy since you are a photographer. Include recognisable landmarks photo on each page, testimonials of the bride and groom etc....

    Thank you for this. On tip number 3 you recommend copying and pasting reviews to your site and then show the sample from the electricians website that shows a google image with 5 stars as well. How are you achieving this look? Is there a plug in that you are using? Or could you be more specific about how you are doing this?

      Hi Ryan. the website is built on WordPress and I use a page builder to achieve the look. You don't necessarily need a page builder and can easily achieve this by using images and HTML

      Remember, your business name MUST BE a true reflection of your business in real life. If it has Samsung in it then the answer is yes. If not, it is against Google's guidelines

  • @TomHallOnline
    @TomHallOnline 2 года назад +1

    Luc, have you ever determined if people tend to add a city name before or after a service? Such as "reno auto mechanic" vs. "auto mechanic reno"? If so, does optimization for one or the other matter?

    • @rankingacademy
      @rankingacademy  2 года назад +4

      There is indeed a difference in the volume of search for key phrases based on the ordering of the words. For example, according to Ahrefs, "electrician London" is searched 1400/month while "london electrician" is searched 200/month. Based on my experience, I'd say that most of the time people tend to search for a service first then add the location second. This should be reflected in the way you optimise your pages. I would suggest you do some keyword research and competitor analysis first

I hear Seo’s talking about creating supporting pages so would this be one of those ? Would these support pages or silos as I hear them being called , be in the menu ?
