Geoff worked for years on this and it shows. An awesome musical, insanely talented a cappella group, two powerhouse guest stars--just perfection. And I needed Kleenex too honey.
It was so great to see Rachel Potter again. I thought the audience unfairly crucified her on (was it X Factor) for being sick. I guess they had all been blessed with perfect health their entire lives. Anyway, I thought her other performances were spectacular. This group is immensely talented. It sounded fantastaic.
Yes it was beautiful. I hope you achieve all your dreams. I am too old and too sick now to achieve mine, so I live vicariously throught watching these wonderful people.
I think the biggest statement I’ve observed about this cover so far is that all the reactors who have a strong connection to the original show end up crying by the end of this medley. When the biggest fans connect and appreciate a new twist on something they love, it shows just how great the new twist really is. No gate keeping, just immense respect 🥰
Nigel ... I know that I can always rely on you to express the emotions that I feel watching these performances ... joy, sadness, love, elation and everything in between. Thank you for sharing your true self with us ❤️
Not from a musical but check out Voice Play doing "Don't Stop Believing" with some other Journey songs mashed in. They were with a group of kids at an acapella camp.
A friend of mine, who, like me, is a member of the local Gay men's chorus, relates deeply to the song "For Good", so much so that he campaigned...and won, a solo in the song when we performed it. He had a chance to meet Stephen Schwartz in Miami at the international GALA festival in '08. He was a giddy fanboy, getting his autograph and posing for a pic with Mr.Schwartz. A true Mutt & Jeff moment, as my friend is 6'5" and Mr.Schwartz is, maybe 5'7".
Your emotions are beautiful. Never apologise for them. It was great to see your gorgeous face again and I knew you were going to love this one. Keep your chin up beautiful. ❤️
My granddaughters had the most amazing performing arts teacher (Robyn Metchik). One of her most famous students is Zac Efron. Anyway every year she would buy 100 tickets for a show at Hollywood Pantages Theatre for a discounted price for her students to buy and charter a bus. Not a school field trip. So my granddaughter got to go and see WICKED twice. Freshman and Junior year. I am still hooked on supporting the program at the high school with one of Robyns former students as the performing arts teacher who graduated in 2009. She had a wonderful mentor and we love everything she has produced.
This was such an authentic and beautiful reaction! You made me smile so much to watch how much these song meant to you. VoicePlay once again took a classic and made it wonderfully there own while still paying homage and respecting the original. Seriously, you are my favorite to react to this so far and I hope all of your dreams come true, thank you for sharing such pure joy. ^.^
I do that too-I get super emotional when I hear something this beautiful, especially when the music ties into an important time in my life. And I love that theater has been such a good place for you. I had so many friends in college who learned to love who they were in the theater. Anyway, great reaction. One note: you might make the inset screen smaller so we can see your face as you hear the music. You were halfway behind it most of the time.
"im like nervous for them" man why you nervous for them? they covered "We don't talk about Bruno", while its still incredibly popular. now that.... thats brave to go out and cover basically the most popular disney song during the height of its popularity and do something different enough that it actually stands out from the original and holds its own against the original.
Please watch KIM vs Gleen Samuel in "SENORITA" ( Shawn mendes - Camina cabello cover) . It's nice and cool song. You will enjoy and suprise . Or Barsena Bestandhi in Easy on ne ( adele cover), you feel like to listening the original version. TRUST ME

My only complaint about this video is that the mini-window is so big it covers your gorgeous face!
I know it recorded that way, and I cant really re-do a reaction :( so this is it for this one sadly.
Voctave, Where Are You Christmas!!!
thanks so much for watching with me!
I think we had a similar facial journey through this video
