This was an amazing arrangement and it took Geoff 7 years to finish. He said he almost gave up on it a few times because it wasn't coming together right. We are all glad he never gave up on this. He did riders in the sky and had the same issue and Kathy, his wife encouraged him to finish it.
Oh I knew you'd love this one 💜 I believe it took geoff like 2 years or so of arrange this whole thing, and he did such a good job! Rachel Potter, the one who played the wicked witch here, is also in some of their other songs. She is also in their greatest showman medley and the little mermaid and Moana medley's, along with a few other songs. Keep up the good work! 💜😁
It's almost impossible to have a favorite Voiceplay cover, because they are all so, so good. But this one is just amazing. It goes from jazz to pop, to straight musical theater; from funny to tragedy, from friendship to hatred, to I don't know what else. It knocks my socks off every time. I'm going to recommend The Little Mermaid Medley and In the Hall of the Mountain King. They have a new one coming out in a few days that will be different from anything else you've seen from them. Be prepared!
I’m really curious how they’ll handle this upcoming one. Totally second the Mermaid Medley and also In the Hall of the Mountain King. Both will be a lot of fun!!
You will see those guests in past VoicePlay videos. They are friends of the group. Rachel was in a lot of videos. I look forward to seeing you breakdown more videos with her and Emoni with the guys.
Check out their cover of In My Room, it's flawlessly beautiful, and the guest DeeJay Young is in the traveling production of Hamilton. His range is incredible
Beautiful reaction to a stunning cover. Bringing both Emoni and Rachel into this was just brilliant. Can't wait to see more of your dive into the rabbit hole, every time you get excited about a particular thing I can't help but think, "oh, wait until he hears..."
Redeem themselves? Bit strong. :) As others explained, the previous one was not a VP arrangement. This is one of Geoff's and it took him a long time to get it all together. Whatever VoicePlay do they do to their very best ability, and they are perfectionists. and they go to great lengths to choose their guests to fit the song, it's always the right person. They don't disappoint.
@@ASLLover666 It was Waving Thru A Window By Voiceplay And Kurt Hugo Schneider. It was arranged by Kurt and featured Eli doing all the solo work instead of sharing the lines between the group members.
Great reaction! She didn't Rachel Berry it, she Rachel Pottered it. Lol. But seriously, I didn't notice it till you pointed it out, but she did have that kind of Rachel Berry/Glee sound at one point. Geoff killed this arrangement as always.
If you really want to see what kind of story VoicePlay can deliver, then I have three videos for you. It's all one story though. Start with Trapped: Billie Eilish in 3 Minutes. Appreciate the super great video, and the vocal arrangement by Geoff that should more properly be called a mashup than a medley. Next is Panic! in 4 Minutes, Parts 1 and 2. Appreciate another cool video, and an incredibly clever arrangement by Layne. Watched in that order, the videos tell a pretty neat story, but even cooler is realizing that the Billie Eilish video was shot over a year after the Panic! videos, but they were meticulous about the details and everything from the clothes they wear to their hairstyles to the date on the cellphone in Trapped all establish the three videos as being the same storyline. It's a fantastic series, and one I really think doesn't get the attention it deserves.
I had plans to drive down to Tampa to see Wicked in March but came down with covid the last weekend in February. No way to go out in public. It will have to go on my list. VoicePlay's production of this was driving me to see the Broadway Touring Wicked but... I love VoicePlay's (Geoff's) amazing arrangement. Just so wonderful. I have so many things on my list I'm going to have to live to 100.
Great reaction If you not react to hoist the colours you must to do it Eli (bald guy) killing the song And please learn the name Eli bald guy Layne beatboxer Cesar is black dude singing first in this song And of course you already know Geoff
Very touching and heartfelt reaction; thank you for this ❤. So, do you feel like they redeem themselves? I believe so! 👏🏼 Eli is the king of riffs and runs. You should check out VP's Tennessee Whiskey, it's epic! Rachel has 10+ collabs with VP, all great; I suggest the Little Mermaid and the Moana medleys. Welcome to the VP rabbit hole!
I'd recommend: Warriors followed by Dream On, Geoff's Ghostriders In The Sky, VP's In The Hall of the Mountain King, Attention w/ Rachel, Phantom of the Opera.
I can never fault the original characters voices in Wicked. Went to New York 5 times to see the original production. I love Home Free but never as good as the musical itself. Sorry, just my opinion and Wicked is always and forever my favorite broadway musical.

Rachel actually was in Wicked, so that probably helped her play the part so well.
If you need to get emotional, don’t worry about it… A lot of us be right there with you!😢
I am so sorry to hear about your mum blessings to you. Great reaction love Voiceplay soooo epic. G'day from Australia.

This is just stunning. Everyone was incredible, but I especially loved Emoni's voice, particularly her lower register. So rich and warm, just lovely.
If you haven't already reacted to VoicePlay's coever of In the Hall of The Mountain King, you should check it out. It is so very entertaining.

I hope it’s a good cry. We all need one of those now and then. Terrific reaction!

thankyou for the med reminder , deadass forgot about them and i even knew something felt off
Very apt comment about the switching soprano and alto as akin to walking in each other’s shoes. Great catch there!
