FUN FACT: "Stress" originally finished second in the 1968 Melodi Grand Prix on 3 March, but was promoted to the Norwegian entry when the winning song "Jeg har aldri vært så glad i noen som deg" was withdrawn from the contest by its composer amid persistent allegations that it plagiarised the 1963 hit "Summer Holiday" by Cliff Richard - who was the United Kingdom's representative in the 1968 contest.
I would like to imagine Cliff reacting negatively to "Jeg har aldri vært så glad i noen som deg" and then trying to get Norway disqualified for plagiarism
Again, i'm glad you guys are paying your respects to contestants who are passing away, but you should upload more of these old performances, including those of people who are still alive. A lot of performances from up until the late 2000s are unavailable in decent quality
Listening to this song gives me 'Stress' But it is quite original and out of the box and I always respect that. Always sad to hear when a member of the Eurovision family passes away. May he rest in peace.
My favourite Eurovision song which reignited my interest in Eurovision. There are two versions of the song. One with an orchestra performed at Eurovision and a second upbeat jazz version recorded with the Kjell Karlsson Orchestra. Both are well worth listening to.
This is such a gem. And probably the first song in the contest about :Stress. And with its sarcastic but most humourus lyrics performed so elegantly. By a groomed nerdy looking gentleman named Odd😂❤
@@House..231Van Hmm Im born at 2001 so of course i like better today's music (pop, rock etc NOT trap) and the 60s music at least in Eurovision was a little boring to me. But sure they have kinda a magic sparkle!
Just recently I added this song to my playlist with my favorite Eurovision songs and in the evening of the same day I found out that Odd Børre was gone😢. Now this is one of my favorite songs from Norway along with "Voi, voi" by Nora Brockstedt and "Spiral" by Arne Bendiksen.🇳🇴😍💕
Ancient songs have different tastes l still listen to this piece in pleasure even in 2024 thank goodness we lived that beauties love from turkey to everybody

I absolutely love Jeg Har Aldri Vært Så Glad I Noen Som Deg!!!
@@Knabberfritz I love it too, it's better than "Stress" in my opinion.

Didn't Odd Børre also sing "Jeg har aldri vært så glad i noen som deg" but since it was withdrawn he had another song they used instead?
@@SwedieYTThis is the song he used instead

I second this - 'and the conductor is' is one of the few channels that actually uploads recordings, especially from the 70s-90s.
@@polarispictures5876 there's also Eurovision Gold!
@@orangespark2340 Haven't heard of them before - will check them out!
What a memorable song! So sad to hear he passed away last Saturday... I've always loved this song
Rest in peace, this song is my personal winner of 1968!

What an amazing song especially for so many decades ago!
I think the 60s music and songs are much better than today's music .....

Got the haircut as cliff richard the same year cliff richard represented the uk with congratulations
And the song he was originally supposed to perform was withdrawn because it was too similar to a Cliff Richard song.
@@Billy219 I know, I just referred to it as a Cliff Richard song to get the point across more clearly.
They don’t make them like that anymore. Let’s not say no more than that!
