Just in case anyone’s interested the armor in the video is called Dur-A-Bull Guards(unique armor) and can be bought at the vendor in amber heights on monarch for around 700 bits(without vanilla barter). The same vendor also sells cowboy hats(i’ve seen tan and brown hats so far but apparently he also sells white hats)
Anybody else thinking Game of the year for Outer Worlds? I would say Sekiro as well for GOTY but I think Outer Worlds just offers so much more replayability and has alot more room to run being it's a very in depth rpg right out the gate with plenty of ways to expand and Sekiro really is just a solid action game and sorta just a 1 and done excellent experience. I am personally a major From Software fan and they produce my favorite games ever but in this case I gotta give it to Outer Worlds for GOTY. It's just exceptional in every aspect of the game. From Ui, personality, conbat, variety, stats, story, consequentials, item management and everything else in between, Outer Worlds has made one of the most cleanest, deep, colorful, bug-less and manageable rpgs ive ever played. Also i've never seen a game play this well on a base ps4. Loading times are very reasonable on base ps4 hardware and frame drops are much more occasional and short lived than any other game i've played. They do exist but not bad enough to be immersion breaking or gameplay affecting at all. It's expected on a base ps4 to be honest but it's just so few far and in between it doesn't matter. Outer Worlds is a solid 9.5 for me and has made my special list of games that only few games make it to. My Special List: Demon's Souls Kingdoms of Amular Darksiders 2 Dark Souls 1 Dark Souls 2 SotFS Dark Souls 3 Bloodborne Borderlands 2 Sekiro God of War Vampyr Salt & Sanctuary *Outer Worlds* Also, I know Elden Ring will make it to my special list, not a shred of doubt in my mind and I can't friggen wait for it.
With the dlc installed a better armor for this build is the Chrono Aggrogated armor. Its defense is decent but where it really shines is its skill bonus. TTD consumption from handguns is reduced by 25%, with armor master its even more.
How does the vermin have "near" sniper rifle damage, when sniper rifle damage doesn't even go that high? Legit snipers are just shy of 500 damage per shot in the UI at max level and with max science/plasma, and only the Hunting Rifle Ultra can exceed that, but it's not worth using over the sniper since it shoots so much slower. You can kill 3-6 enemies in TTD with the Dead-Eye, and only 3 with the Hunting Rifle due to the slow reload speed. Also, dialogue isn't worth taking for the vendor discount at all since it only works on living vendors, not vending machines. You would be better off raising lockpicking.
I get why a lot of builds are heavily science focused (Its a Sci-Fi game, it improves tinkering costs and gives boosts to non-physical damage) but to me a build such as being based on space cowboys such as Mal Reynolds, I'd say the furthest I would go with Science is just for basic 20 skills tinkering unlock. The main focus would be ranged, dialog, someways into stealth and Leadership... maybe a dabble in Melee as well as Mal showed competence in bar brawls and of course fight with the Operative in Serenity. So you miss out on the extra non-physical damage and lower tinker costs, if people are wanting to do builds for RP reasons to me it makes more sense that a space cowboy wouldn't be so science orientated. In fact I'd say the one out of Tech that a space cowboy would focus more in would be Engineering. Although of course, for all the Mal Reynolds out there, you already got a Kaylee Frye in your party... though she doesn't care about no one twixting her nethers
Pistols and snipers would make this bit more interesting imo since cowboys were fans of lever action rifles and such too. But that's really easy to make work since you already have at least 50 in long arms skill.
And just in case people are confused about why N Ray damage is bad for handguns. Its becuase handguns already has a ton of armor penetration, youll.just be lowering your damage for no reason. You really only need plasma for flesh and Corrosion for Robots and Mantisaurs. You can probably have a backup Shock weapon if you have the Bites for Robots exclusively.
Shock is the mod that you probably see the most off, while youd find Corrosive rarely, and you probably need to buy. I think I got one in my first playthrough.
Do you know at what level or planet the Vermin 2 starts dropping. Currently in Monarch level 20.....trying to decide if I should rush the main game and do the side quests later after I get it and put upgrades into it.

Science. Again. For a cowboy build. Why not focus on Dodge to roll behind cover or Intimidate for the Dirty Harry approach to social checks? Science doesnt fit the build conceptually, you're just admitting that it's mandatory for every character.
It's mandaroy for every character that is one weapon type of build, as upgrading gets very expensive without high science. Even with 100 science, there is lower level weapons that get too expensive to thinker.
you could raise it to 100 just to upgrade your favorite times then respect to 60 in science for corrosive or n-ray instead then spend those points else where. or dont bother with science at all and just go for weakpoint damage and actually hit weak points. dodge 40 is good if you want to be elusive.

i tried to respec my character into this but none of my damage numbers changed and i never had a high science score or the perks but my damage is staying the same so im bugged i guess
that's the dur-a-bull guards, it's found in the trailer the CC3 mercs have at devil's peak. the item description says they are iconoclast armor, so i assume you can either buy them from the iconoclasts or kill their members to get it also
The game has a bug when you are at Maximum Perception (+3 on stats creation and +1 on Explorer Hat) and uses a Caffeine Drink (+1 on Mind = Perception and Intelligence) Your Perception "overflow" and it results in unexpected penalties that shouldn't exists. It should merely increase your Intelligence and leave your Perception to max, but it does not. So if you are planning on using Caffeine drinks to max your Perception and Intelligence it's better NOT to use the Explorer Hat and look for other cowboy hats that support this build, like +Handguns or +Dodge (if you to go that route)
These builds are great but can you build a Space biker build like DC Lobo 🏍, a Space Ninja 🥷, Space Pirate 🏴☠️, Star War build, MacBeth in space build 🗡️, In Honor of"Coming to America 2" their should be a lost space king 👑 or a lost space prince 👑

What did everyone name there character and why? Write it below if you wouldn't mind as it's fun. My character is named "Tuggy Pepper". A legendary almost mythological Union Construction Forman. Funny story; My brother used to work in a construction union and he and another guy made up a guy named Tuggy Pepper who was a real tough jacked up dude with a raspy voice and would come to sites unannounced and straighten crews out. So everytime people would get outta line he would say I heard Tuggy was gonna come by or I just got off the phone with Tuggy and he is PISSED! My brother would pretend to be on the phone with Tuggy sometimes and act like he was being berated. The crew began to get real sick of hearing about this Tuggy Pepper and would be like "fuk Tuggy" and they even carved it into walls etc. But there was an underlying fear amongst the crew over this guy. That story always cracks me up so I felt it was fitting for my character in this world of crazy. 😆
Is it better to take the toughness perk later on, because your health increases every level and it says it only adds to your base health and nothing about hp gain per level.

As fun and awesome as it is... builds kinda dont matter even with difficulty cranked. If you do any real min/maxxing people drop like flies. I hate to say it, but it's pretty easy and is much more of a story game. Love it though.
How do you think this holds up in supernova? I have been looking for a set build and weapon type to take into supernova but not much content is out there yet.
Supernova isn't that difficult. You don't need a set build to take it on. My character was a pretty mixed bag and I only died 2 or 3 times, mostly due to mines.
I wish melee had more.to.it than minecraft melee animations... and stealth attacks had animations to them would make stealth builds and melee builds fun to play they are to boring atm to play..
Is there any negative backlash to this build if I swapped two in dexterity to two in charm? I really wanna be a charismatic cowboy for this one but don't wanna miss out on the best opportunities. First time playing, by the way.
Obviously I’m a little late responding here, but if you take 3 dex and average charm you can then take the dialog and tech skills. This puts handguns at 30 and persuasion and science at 23 right off the bat. You also get 30 lockpick, which is good for cash and ammo early game, and 13 to lie and intimidate, which you could choose to upgrade later on. Alternatively, if you put points into charm, then you need to take the ranged skill which adds a bunch of useless points into long guns and heavy weapons. TLDR: 3 dex, 2 intelligence, 3 perception, and average charm + dialog and tech skills is more efficient than average dex, 3 charm + ranged and tech skill.
Yes, its pretty awesome... a game like the old classics that tells a story, has a beginning and an end. You have no idea how tired I am of every game trying to be a 10 year game you just keep playing. Cell phone games are the worst but man, make a 50 to 100 hour game with replayability and be done with it. End game here is just playing again with different outcomes and builds.

Strongly recommend dodge to at least 20. It makes it very easy to get dodge melee with that dash.

It's between Outer Worlds, Sekiro, and Death Stranding for me personally. Resident Evil 2 was damn good too.

Just reset my skills and perks to suit a solo build, zero companion skills or backup, but with the right perks you become unstoppable(ish).
How do you have 35 50 50 in stealth?

From my experience if you're crouched and shooting there is no difference. Plus later you will unlock perks there will extend and restore bullet time.
