My tip: grab everything then sell most consumables you don’t use
I dont use any consumables they dont seem really good except the main healing one.
indian guy you should look at the effects they give and combine them in your inhaler it can be quite useful in combat especially with higher difficulty
@@Darkneonflame13 Well, I have low tempered character, so he can't regen any hp when eating
Leevi Heiskanen you should still get the effects from food
@@Darkneonflame13 from others yes, but not from space banana
0 times 200 is still a zero
I love how obsidian manages to make extremely streamlined and user friendly but still deep rpgs.
With practically no bugs on release!!! Remember when that was industry standard.
I mean absolutely. The only issues i have some frame drops/stutters once in a while, and some wonky rendering on weapons and environment in some areas and times. But these are all pretty minor so it's an amazingly made game.
@@Washius I've noticed that too. Do you have a base console or do you have the one x
Es_Three for me I'm experiencing quite a few bugs, sound issues, stutter, and horrible texture pop in mostly.
@@jacksonelh if you're on PC look into the engine.ini tweaks
I love that this game is on game pass.
Same
I haven't checked so thanks for the info.
Game pass is the only reason i got a xbox one x, worth it
ThugginCentipede you can get the game pass on PC
Have it for PC. There is NOTHING better in gaming than the ability to try before you buy. Imagine all the companies about to need to finish games before release or not get sales. Rental dying killed good games. This can bring that back. If we smell shit before we buy the game, we won't buy. So all they'll ever get out of you specifically is the tiny little slice of your 10 bucks a month they're entitled to UNLESS THE GAME IS GOOD. Can't beat this. Game Pass is king.
“No really expensive items”
*tinkering intensifies*
14700 bits for light machine gun upgrade
And the second level costs 10,000 to buy ship pass.
Nah, just boost up engineering to get 90% discount and cap.. All levels cap out at 200 bits. :)
Just use science weapon LOL
@@RestrictedTWO Science, not Engineering. Dumbass.
10) The first perk you should get is "fast travel while encumbered" so that way you can pick up EVERYTHING then encumbered you can fast travel back to your ship and upgrade all you want, store what you want to keep, then fast travel to a shop and sell the rest.
Played for 5 hours didn’t realize guns and armor had levels oh Lordy so excited with the game I missed it
Same! I didn't notice until it was pointed it out to me.
I am so glad items aren't level locked, I found level 7 plasmacutter at level 3
Well if you missed that then dont miss the fact you can equip the armor, guns and melee to your companions, my guns are around 200dps but the 2 I bring both have guns near 500dps and decent armor so like the old days of assassins creed I mark a target have them annihilate them before I show up lol yes I'm only level 12 as of right now and win every fight because of that
@@ClickBoom206 you play on Hard ?
I only noticed near the end of the game when I was spending all my bits on tinkering and it said "it can't be any higher level"
The outer worlds seems to have the same problem as the first Fallout has. A great concept and I’m really excited to see what they do with the sequel but clearly a lot of miss opportunities.
Add 3rd person, make the game a little longer.
Let us play after you beat the game. Maybe add a little customization to the ship as it’s the only player home oh and romantic/better friendship options.
Go play a Bethesda game, this ain't for you.
@@jamielovesjayne I played the game, it was alright.
Not bad but not great.
Instead of "romance options" you should just get a real partner.
@@jamielovesjayneAre you aware that Obsidian made New Vegas and quite a bunch of developers there made the two first Fallout game?
@@HiAgainTheNameIsStillAyle yes
“Speech dialogues level ain’t that necessary” man I had to pay 10k for a planet parking ticket at Gladys cause my persuade or intimidate wasnt level 85+ hahaha
You can actually just land in Cascadia and then walk to Stellar Bay for free instead of buying a 10,000 bits navkey for Stellar Bay. It's more difficult because Cascadia and the areas surrounding Cascadia are filled with a ton of high level monsters, but it's possible. It's like in Fallout: New Vegas where you can try to reach New Vegas by just going north of Goodsprings instead of going in a big loop around the entire game world.
grumpychris wow haha thanks could off saved me a good 10k I was kinda struggling with credits but now I have the perk which shops pay more for my stuff and I pick up everything now which I didn’t before (consumables)
Lmao I paid the 10,000 and landed in Cascadia XD
@@Techni_Log same its all for the xp
I really like that flaw system. It's a good way to keep playthroughs interesting
Kingdom Come: Deliverance did it too kind of, but its like at the very beginning. I hope more games use that mechanic. Would love to see a game where your companions and even enemies develop or already have specific flaws. It would be challenging to show but I think we're getting close to that kind of depth.
I’ve noticed no difference at all between my flawless build and my flawed build. 🤷🏻♂️
@@chrisrozens1125 which flaws did you accept? I got broken legs and drug addiction so far and its for sure made my playthrough harder. They offered me a robot one too but the Hard difficulty is actually pretty good and robots have fucked me up more than anything else.
the flaws are really not worth it though, only if you want to make your game harder with a neglibe bonus.
@@Laroac i'd say the perks are worth it. And I always like a game to be harder it makes it mkre satisfying to overcome
The first town has so many skill checks that need 1.
Yeah. I suppose it's to show that dialog skill checks are a think
BITS: One thing I would disagree with -- relatively early on, you'll have the opportunity to gain access to a blocked planet by spending a large sum and unlock a large number of new missions. So early on, it's worthwhile to accumulate bits until that opportunity presents itself. Other than that, yeah, spend away.
What part in the game?
@@YouMadBruh420 Sheesh, I don't remember. It's been two years. 🙂
@@bfwebsterdo you remember now?
Not all flaws have upsides, I once had permanently crippled limbs
How did you get rid of it? I have it and it's annoying
@@epidote6020 You can't get rid of flaws short of reloading an earlier save. I did the same thing and immediately reloaded an autosave even though it meant losing some progress. It was unbearable.
@@LordoftheDice Damn well I'm long gone on my save. Thanks for the info anyways
The only flaw I ever took was Far Sighted as I only play range
That’s called Polio
I love games like this because i can just talk my way in and out of everything
Lol
All of these points are super helpful, especially given the way I tend to agonize over builds. Thanks, Michael!
Great tips! I'm stoked to start exploring!

So guys whens the 100 dollar subscription for Outer worlds? Oh wait
It's available as Xbox Game Pass.
Lol. Good one. He's talking about the FO76 pass.
I hope they introduce new outfits we can buy for 10 bucks each, that’ll make this game even better!
(Said no one ever)
Interviewer: Will this game have micro-transactions?
Tim Cain: NO!
Blue ...... they need to have blue
Visible helmets should be a thing in every game
*Invisible?
They have both options in this game
Erik Leute how can you turn them off?
@@aynes8099 I think you just hit the pause button and go to settings if I remember correctly. You can turn off the helmet display for you and your companions.
You sound genuinely excited about this game, and I’m glad for that. A happy and excited FM team always makes for more interesting and useful videos. Thank you! 🚀❤️🚀
Agreed and it is a very good game. Better than fo76 lol
Uhhh ok then?
Klaani K I think it’s because everyone’s giving this game soo much praise but it’s really done nothing crazy special. Games pretty simplistic in the since of the world since your actions don’t really lead to a consequence. Unless is a flaw. Edgewater is just a annoyance to me since literally after taking power away nothing changes from that first view of the lights off. Everyone stays in they’re spot. No one moves to a new area to live or ANYTHING. Games good but saying it’s better than fallout 76 isn’t saying much and this game isn’t bringing a lot of new things to the table nor atleast realistic working world. Just feels like a fallout clone with tweaks and good story
On the flaw thing, be wary of getting the mechanical phobia because that would make a certain companion less viable.
"It's not easy to tarnish your reputation" Until it is. There are a few places where a single decision will give you immediate 50% negative in that faction. I did it with Auntie Cleo (sided with Cassandra), and a bunch of people did it with the board.
My character got ronophobia.
Sam's not allowed off the ship now
My character was so powerful I just took basically all the phobias for the free perks
@@SkittlesInYourHand Same, after about level 15 I had a Hunting Rifle Ultra and a Plasma Rifle 2.0 that literally one-shotted everything besides mechanicals and mantiqueens. My poor character was afraid of everything but his guns weren't lol
I take Sam to boost my intimidate skill. I have to make him stand outside or in the corner of a room before I talk to an npc
After falling in love with this game, which I had no idea about mind you, I'm almost hopeful that Obsidian will Finally give me what I've Always wanted...
Kotor 3 🙄
Did you see the latest game they doing? I don't remember it's name but it's gonna something like Skyrim but in different world. They have teaser trailer
Hell yes
Great vid guys. That was the most informative video of this format I have ever seen :)
Fudgemuppet ALWAYS gets a like from me, Michael! You rock! YT needs a 'love it!' button for these videos. :) I will get great use of the invisible helm/keep stats option. I use JS Armored Circlets in SSE for the same reason. I want to see faces!
Thank you for the pointers as always and Adventure on friends!
If you want the skill bonus at 20, 40, 60, 80, and 100 you need to level that skill accordingly. Companions and gear will raise your skill but not give you the bonuses.
That is a bonus. The vicar alone raises my damage over 30%. Add Sam and it's even more
1. You can find most rare weapons and good ones by simply exploring.
2. Upgrading equipment can be costly so I tend to save bits for that.
3. You probably wont be using all the consumables so dont be too afraid to sell, except ones that will help your build
Can't wait to download this on my PS4 when internet is back on gonna be some heavy guns style guy that uses melee weapons as well as big bulky armour with speech skills and hacking
Literally the only thing I don’t like in this game is the fov on consoles
Agree.
I just bought the PS4 version. Yep. Way too tight of a FOV.
Hurts my eyes
Doesn't bother me but if there was a slider it would be cool
PC has FOV slider hahahahah console peasants.
I noticed in yalls footage and I love the reference to the beatles there being a hammer named Maxwell, haven't got it myself yet
Maxwell's Silver Hammer? Came down upon her head? That one? 😅👍
On respeccing;
The way I did, once my character hit the level cap of 30, I wanted to optimise my build. I only invested in skills that I had already been invested in, but took out points from a few skills I hadn't had much use for, or from those skills I had invested in, but wanted to use skill boosts to the fullest effect (eg. dropped social skills from 80 to 70 and used Chimaera and Soliloquy to get them to 100 with that other skill boosting perk.)
Just begun to replay it with different choices...such an enjoyable game following the main narrative arc, and just as much fun deciding to strike out on your own for the hell of it.
Can we take a moment to recognise the healing customisation in this game, please? As far as I can remember, this is the first time I've seen anything like it. Loading in different items into your base healing device, to get different effects. Imagine a version of this in dark souls, where you can modify your estus flask to give you different resistances and stuff, would totally streamline the game (unlocking slots as you progress. it could even be baked into progression, where you need to stack certain resistances to get past parts of a boss fight. there's definitely something there)
I liked this when I first saw it but I was a little disappointed that you don't unlock some sorta hidden effects with the right kinds of drugs. I would think mixing 2 or even 3 different drugs would create side effects not normally expected. Anyway, just a minor missed opportunity.
@@droleht1557 probs saving it for the sequel. I reckon they probs held back on loads of ideas to bang out a sequel right away. Coasting off the success of the first game, they could probably get decent funding to make a fleshed out sequel.
I imagine they will flesh out just about everything as well.
Fallout New Vegas
Well, Elden Ring did it
@@bielrangelf yeah, elden ring flasks are great.
What I don't like about "Skill Point" section is that even if you have enough points in one skill (via your companions boosting some of your stats) you won't get the actual effects listed in the "Base Skill Unlocks" section on the right hand side of that screen. You'll have to actually put the points in there yourself to reap those benefits. I'm assuming those "boosted" stats via your companions stats/abilities only affects certain dialogue/quest choices. For example, I tried to pickpocket some npcs because (on my Skill Point section) it said I had enough points in it to do that action/ability...but nothing happened. Once I had actually leveled up enough and put those points in there myself was I able to pickpocket someone (stole the "sheriff's" shotgun on the first planet/town you go to once you land on said planet and its pretty nice (the gun that is)). Its not a huge deal but just sucks to think "I have enough points to do this thing" only to find out..nope..you're however many points off from actually being able to do it..kinda a slap in the face imo.
Maybe you got debuff. I have enough skill to lockpick some houses in one save, but in another save i cant lockpick those houses at all. Turn out i got debuff from being hungry and thirsty (played on supernova difficulty).
I'm am so happy to know there's a respec just to try some other skills omg thank you for telling me that
I love that you guys have become so active in uploading!!! BTW when is the next legacy build? (Waiting excitingly) currently playing the warrior king build and DIGGING IT
Pretty sure they tell you early on that the greater of your lie/persuade/intimidate skills will be used in setting merchant prices
Merchant pricing is 100% based on faction standing and perks.
onen Wrong. Your highest dialogue skill increases your discount as well. In a good situation, I have a 65% discount.
Honestly these are solid tips. Most videos with something like this as a title are clickbait with very little substance, but a good deal of these points are worth knowing coming from similar games
I remember in one of my runs, I chose to bring peace between Sanjar and Zora. After the peace meeting, I killed them both. Fun fun fun
Oh my God. Thank you so much for this. I did the same thing too where I put a random helmet on Parvati and couldn't unequip it. I was so angry because she'll remove it during dialog, but then during gameplay she'll put it back on. I haven't equipped my companions with any armor because I didn't want to ruin their look afterwards.
I’ve yet to hear any Reviews describe what the “Power Armor” in The Outer Worlds is like.
Jc Gamer not the same as fallout thats for sure
in an interview the creators said there's just heavy armor, there's no standing set of power armor like in fallout 4
Better damage resistance at the expanse of lower skill bonuses. Saw some pics, nice and bulky like an Iron man or master chief, without the hassle of the Fallout 4 being clumsy and OP.
I'll miss the feeling of piloting a big clunky mech like in Fallout 4 but at least it will be easier to maintain for a paladin-esque build.
Definitely Not like Fo4
Fudge, my main Muppet. Nicely done ✅ .
Petition to name the first build Fudge
With attributes, I'd say you CAN sort of mess them up a bit. At least if you play Hard or Supernova. Specifically, Temperament going below average is extremely painful. Because you have no passive health regen, food items that increase your health regen don't do anything. So you sort of have to really rely on a good medical skill to save you mid combat.
Very helpful. Thanks Fudgemuppet!
So glad you're covering outer worlds. I spend a ton of time on character creation in bethesda-ish games and you are so helpful!
10:57 I'm a type of player which is exploring everything so i recognized this place but i'm level 2 so it was a spoiler for me but i don't mind it that much ;)
Is Not auch spoiler it is one of the ways that can bei taken. If you have a high Dialoge skill you dont have to kill anyone.
You can rob Spacer's Choice on the Groundbreaker and sell him all the items for quick bits. Not sure on the refresh of the inventory, but I make a point to do it every time I pass through. 🌚🌝
It's not the best choiceee
It's Spacer's Choice!!
Two fudge Muppet videos in one day it is a good day.
That Mac key for stellar bay is pretty pricy and I just chose to land without it
"There's no big ticket item"
Obviously this is someone who hasn't been tinkering up near level 30.
Explain please, sounds intriguing.
@@LawrenceKassab Try tinkering a Hunting Rifle Ultra up to level 30. Having 100 Science helps but without it you're spending 10s of thousands per level. I spent a RIDICULOUS amount getting my main weapon maxed out until I realized I should finish leveling Science before I tinkered anymore, wasted roughly 60k.
It's still several thousand a level even with Science 100.
@@redblack9618 I've had a hundred in science for a while now and aside from what you mentioned, the extra damage you get from the science weapons or elemental damage is ridiculous.
I have 100 Science naturally and to get Ol'Reliable(a Heavy Weapon LMG) to level 19 will cost 11K. With a 90% cost reduction. Ridiculous.
This is the happiest sounding video in awhile!!
Would you do videos on all the different armours and outfits in the game ? Sometimes it’s nice to know what fashion is available so you can build different characters based on different looks
I think I'm going to do a play through where I accept every flaw.
I believe you can only accept up to 3 on easy and medium difficulty and only up to 4 on hard. Not so sure about supernova though. So actually somewhat have to pick and choose because theres alot of them that can/will pop up throughout the game
@@AlexD-nl9iz that sucks I already accepted constant concussion for my melee character.
I have robaphobia. Fallingpobia. Thirst. Hunger. And they kept trying to add more and I'm playing on supernova lol.
Make one with below average everything
Seems like the first thing they should fix on this not yet released game, is that getting stats beyond 100 should have some impact...
That and the faction reputation. Helping a rival should have a deeper impact. Makes no sense to retain good reputation after fucking over a faction 🤷🏽♂️
Excited for builds!!
Downloading now cant wait to dive in!!
Can't wait for a super detailed video on flaws and what kind of messed up stuff I haven't encountered. So far I've gotten a weakness to corrosive damage and a phobia to the frog dog things
We need third person!!!
Nah.
@@AngelosRitter yah
Yeah, I always prefer 3rd person. Why spend so much time on character creation if you never see your character, lol. :) That and no romance options are my only complaints about the game. Otherwise I love this game so freaking much.
excellent video as always!
I love how I went into that break room in the Cannery and found a grenade launcher in a locker. I'm thinking "it will probably only have a few rounds in it*. It has 80-something ammo. Seems like it's way too easy to steal stuff in this game.
Can you do a video showcasing the Science weapons? I've only seen info on the shrink ray so far.
I found a "Glue Gun" on Monarch that shoots balls of goo at stuff. It doesn't make things stick or create a slow effect though, but instead acts like a grenade launcher and shoots them into the air where they are suspended in a slow motion like effect for a couple of seconds. It also does electrical damage and seems to have a high stun chance.
It's essentially for doing air combos with other weapons. You shoot something with the Glue Gun to launch it into the air, then switch to another gun and shoot it while it is suspended.
Got the goo gun and mind control gun
Found all the Science weapons.
There is one for each weapon type.
All are neat in their own way and do something interesting.
Mind control gun is the long gun.
Shrink Ray is the handgun.
Glue Gun is the heavy gun.
Prismatic Hammer is the two handed melee weapon.
Mandibular Rearranger is the one handed melee weapon.
They all have an interesting effect, but also all do decent damage.
None were particularly hard to find, though the Mind Control gun does require a bit of platforming over a bottomless pit to grab, so save before you attempt it.
Also there is no way to “accidentally” slip and purchase a certain perk for you or a companion.
I fucked up with the weakness system...didn’t realise how major one I accepted was wondering how it worked. My character became dumb af the whole game😑
I got a light machine gun Mk 2 and after upgrades and a lil tinkering the attack is at 1,510 level 20. With 135 bullets on each magazine and over 6,000 bullets available to spray, vulcan bullets. Im on the Xbox one. Re-spec is am awesome feature.
I'd love to see some Outer Worlds Lore vids. I know we only have the one game to go off of so far, but I'd still love to know more about the universe and its timeline.
I played it for an entire day and I legit ran out of quests. I went around every area and talked to every npc I saw and couldn't find anymore lol
Ikr
just pre-ordered on PS4. thanks for these videos.
I am so excited about this game, hopping on at midnight to play!!! Thanks for the pro-tips!!!
You can play now on pc with xbox game pass.
@@chrishoward8058 It launched!!! Thanks man, I had no idea!!!
I chose all the time dilation perks and I’m pissed. When I first did it,it gave me CRAZY superspeed that let me zoom around like the dude from fist of the North Star but then I saved came back no more super speed
also literally the second planet has a 100 persuade check... and the third has multiple...
If this game had 3rd person view it would have everything only thing it's missing on consoles with the tight FOV
I havent found a single perk worth getting a flaw ( beside the fear of hights)
Can't wait for the hundreds of builds to come!
This game proves that developers dont need to get caught up on graphics and great gameplay will allow a game to succeed through user reviews and such. The game looks great, but mostly because of design and not texture resolution
I just loot and steal everything..you become rich quick lol
The most powerful build attribute wise is Int 3 and either Charm or Perception 3 depending on whether you use companions or not.
Kind of a bummer to hear that there aren't really consequences for upsetting factions. Like, I killed the power on the first planet and the faction whose power I killed was just like "man, it really sucks that you did that, not having power is a bummer." Like, I even had a companion with me who made it very clear to me that she wanted me to make a certain decision, and when I made the opposite decision she was just like "Oh, bummer. Anyway, let's go."
Cool if they did a ship mutiny whilst you were there and you got demoted or slung in to the brigg!! Lol. OW 2 lets go!
The Outerworlds is WAY to short, it took me 24hrs to finish the main quest along with a load of other side quests but the story is great and the combat is good as well.
Its the replay that gets me. Story can go in so many directions that I've played through 3 times now and not about to stop now. Though I have a really hard time putting down the prismatic hammer 😀
I just hate that if you take your time and do some exploring or just like revisiting areas you’ve cleared all the quests, example edgewater since if your doing a rebel style play through trying to take down the corporations. Well the town goes dark and everyone stays in that same position of worried what they’re gonna do with the power off.. no one leaves for the deserters camp like I figured since the camp can grow food(a big issue for this solar system) I figured it’d grow bigger and prosper more.. nope everything stays the same.. nothings really fleshed out in this world on the note of looking and acting like a real world with real people that do normal human activities. I just see through the facade right away that I can tell everyone’s on a set pattern that only has them walking around or standing around in one place. People don’t even walk away from each other after a conversation....
How was the dlc?
@@xherionfather it was probably a 5 out of 10
The only things I have real complaints about are that I can't change my hair and beard ever and that I can't have cosmetic clothes over my armor. So I can't have my good armor rating, but outwardly be a suave suit wearing gentleman.
So you've never got the 'Chimaera' Armor that has 53 armor rating with +10 Dialog Skills and looks like a suave outfit?
You guys make me NEED this game
Primals flaw seems one of the best ones to pick because there is only 2 planets where you face them (Emerald Vale on Terra 2 and Scylla) and for the most part you can easily avoid them even if doing the mission for the Chimaera outfit. Steffen at the Botanical Lab sells the item you need from them. So you could go get the flaw in Emerald Vale, then go get the items needed from Steffen and never have to face them again.
Heres my tip. Just start blasting
"so anyways, I just started blasting"
New Vegas meets Bioshock and Mass Effect? Time to go preorder.
The stat Temperament is very strong. Frankly probably op. The passive health regen scales with level or health from what I can tell. At level 4 I had 10 health per second regen with level 3 temperament. On a none supernova difficulty your basically wolverine. On it your still very powerful. To give you an idea I got off the first planet with over 50 adrenal in my inventory. Being cautious and using cover was easy but many times I could just toss caution to the wind and sprint down opponents with the cheetah perk and 2 handed melee weapons. Frankly a melee build with high strength and temperament would probably be pretty enjoyable.
Very helpful thanks!
Outer worlds is coming out tommorrow. So this is welcomed.
we need outer world class builds !
I made teddy roosevelt lmao
There's not really much point IMO and this video hints at the reason why: The game gives you far too much capability right from the start... You can pass every skill check, do every activity and please every faction with just a little bit of companion and armor juggling. So there's no distinction to any stat/skill build that doesn't just come down to dialogue choices anyway.
@@TheCaptn sure when you're playing in the beginning? It actually really does start to diverge further into the game. Especially since past 50 you can only increase specific skills. Besides builds are more about rp than min maxing anyways
@@mondaysinsanity8193 Maybe? I dunno. I'm 26 hours in at Cascadia and it definitely hasn't diverged yet... I also haven't pushed a skill past 50 yet, that seems like it would be a waste while 3:1 skills are still available. Even so I can buff almost anything into the 65-75 range for skill checks.
3:50 - i ended game b/c of this with 20 bits but my team had matching outfits and punishing guns.
These types of videos are a God send. Especially for rpgs
Will we be able to mod the game? That could improve a lot of the aspects that people don't or do like.
Every game is moddable so yes though Idk if obsidian will do something like fallout 4
Afaik, bethesda releases a modkit or something for their games like Geck and the creation kit which is why they’re more modable than other games. Guess it depends.
They said yes in a interview not part of the game yet
i thought those stats DID affect outside their normal realm. I.E having high charisma/pursuasion makes enemies more likely to flee when one dies
Yeah, you're right.
I agree about spending, same thing with using ammo. I was playing with that scarcity mindset for the first hour or so until I realized that I was having zero difficulty finding ammo.
True but I did save my bits for tinkering. Once I hit 100 science I beefed up the prismatic hammer. Now its 10 times stronger than any weapon and needs zero ammo.
So many of these are spot on.
I think I might respec my character to get that 100% companion skill bonus and just fill in around that. Should make my character much better all around.
Granted my current playthrough is on normal, but I'm using FMs 'Dumb Simpleton' build and all I can say is... companions just become crazy when you've maxed out Inspiration and got 60 determination. Just point them to enemy, watch them kill everything and rake in that juice +50%xp from the perk that grants it for each companion kill. I've not really tinkered with them too much gear wise which I imagine you would immensely have to do on Hard or Supernova playthrough to keep them alive doing such a thing.
Honestly, the only thing you should be spending bits on is tinkering.
Yeah mostly, maybe an odd mod, and water on supernova maybe.... if theres a dank new weapon lvl and you dont wanna wait to find it, then its not so bad.
And mag locks, there cheap
@@jamestuck90Not really. Most locks require 0 picks and the rest take 2-3 (dunno about late game locks tho) and there are plenty lockpicks lying around as loot. Think I have 50 spare picks atm, without ever having had to buy one.
@@jasonbourne4865 im constantly buying them. I search every where and need tons of lock picks. So far ive found locks that require 7 picks and im not very far in the game i think. Im lvl 20
@@johnmillay6790 hmm... if you raise your lockpick skill to a reasonable level (i.e. 50), have Pavarti in your team and use a +5 Stealth outfit and +5 lockpick headgear you should be able to zero most locks. I'm not as far into the game as you (level 13 atm, around 15-20 hours played), but I'm estimating that around 80% of the locks I encounter are zero picks and the rest 2-3.
Someone is excited lol
Actually bits are really needed when tinkering weapons. I'm talking 10k + to bump up the damage on a rifle
Great tips as always Michael, looking forward to your build guides!!
In game, can the damage numbers be disabled? I always found them a bit immersion breaking
Zach Zent agreed
yeah they can
@@Michealxlr how?

Another thing folks might not realize: most weapons have a higher level level variant that will start appearing on enemies in later areas and spawning in vendors as you level up. So, if you like a weapon you found in the first area and have been tinkering it, but it's gotten too expensive to keep doing it, if you can get by with it as is for a while you can usually find a higher level variant that will far and away outperform the original and will cost less bits to upgrade to even higher levels.
