You shouldn't mix the External and Inner Resistance things in the engine. Its not very obvious but they will cancel each other out. If you hover over the resistance stat at the bottom it tells you this. Also the compressor should be at the bottom with two of whatever you choose stacked above it. It multiplies anything above it, not below.

Man, thank you so much for showing how to maintain the initial saves! It was really painful to go through that repetitive steps each time. It takes quite a skill to develop not obvious saving system
I believe, right now, when upgrading the upper factory and ordering components, the increased production speed is not applied to older orders. (Not 100% sure if this is just visual, but if you take a look at the number of days it'll take for an order to finish, it will stay at 8 instead of decreasing after you upgrade the factory.) So you may want to undo any orders you make before upgrading the factory, and order the production you want afterwards.
I swear to god I will NEVER understand why so many vids have ambience music turned so loud you can barely make out what the streamer is saying. Why not turn it off altogether? Is it so hard to understand that in a tutorial video the voice explaining things has to be the #1 priority? That said, nice video, thanks for the useful information :)

Question: I saw another video that said if you combine both External Resistance and Internal Resistance modules in an engine, then you don't get any resistance, so you should just use one or the other, with two Resistance Multiplier modules. Thoughts?
It's more that you can only have one kind of resistance so it doesn't make sense to use both as one type will be completely wasted. You can even see this when he builds the engine. He starts with pretty high internal resistance but when he adds the components for external resistance, his external resistance not only stays at zero but his internal resistance drops to only 5. He made his internal resistance components much less effective by trying to do both.

why there is inner and external resistances if you cant mix them? is there another setup besides 4 resistances and 2 multiplier?

On the steam forum, there's a guide that says DO NOT have both external & internal resistance. Either one or the other, but NOT both.

You really need to mix the game audio in at a much lower volume so its not drowning you out.
Agreed, good content but audio mix is not great. Voice is more important than bgm
