How To Change Cabin Air Filter | Reusable K&N Cabin Air Filter | 2014-2018 Chevy Silverado 1500

Today we learn how to change a cabin air filter in our 2016 Chevy Silverado 1500 using the K&N Reusable Cabin Air Filter! After 4 1/2 years of having this truck and being the only owner of it for over 36,000 miles, I wanted to change out the cabin air filter. Not only replace it with a filter, but to use a K&N washable/reusable cabin air filter! (Come back in a year and we will show you have to clean it too!) They are easy to replace and we are going to show you how in this short video! Be sure to change your cabin air filter in your car or truck at least once every year as I have seen pictures on forums from new cars and trucks after only 3,000 miles are black from all the dirt! This could help keep containments out of the car and could also get rid of some stinky smells when you have the air on. Hope this helps as you can see it really helped me! Never again will I go this long without changing mine!

I was taught to cut the top of the box and slide it under the old filter before removing it to help prevent crud from falling down into the blower motor. Always worked for me.
