I live slmost smack dab in the middle of Canada, where theres -30° C for almost 6 months of the yeat. I have an 2008 GMC Sierra 1500. Which light would work for me, when driving in blizzard conditions or driving in the rain which falls like its being poured out of a bucket? You could use my truck for a video. With matching head light and tail light assemblies. The installer can have the choice on which ones to install. I'm glad I found your videos, very informative, well balance of humor and a good sense of how to keep your audience interested in the information you provide. Thanks guys, and my stock Sierra is hoping she gets the call. Cheers.
For your specific application, I would go with an HID kit. LED bulbs and LED headlights won't get hot enough to melt the snow off the headlights when driving through blizzard conditions. I'd also recomment going with a warmer color temperature for the HID bulbs as well, either a 4300k or a 3000k.

I have ome suggestion for further bulb reviews. In addition to the standard test you do on the wall testing LUX. Would you also consider doing on outside at night so that we can see the projection on the bulbs? A bulb can be super bright, but the light doesn't project as far down the road as one would think.

Honestly I’ve noticed 07 to 13 Silverados have the brightest halogen headlights
They are pretty good but there is always room for improvement!
Does anyone know if a headlight similar to this one exists for the 2018 Silverado?
I’m looking for an aftermarket headlight that has a large delay and turn signal that border the headlight.

Picked up a set of these for my '09 Silverado and am installing them tomorrow. I'm also installing the matching Morimoto fog lamps as well. This vide shows that it's a snap.

@@mgoodell76 They look great and really light up the road. The install was straight forward and the hardest part was getting to the two bolts on each side under the fender liner.
Also remember to aim them so that you don't blind oncoming traffic.
You guys should also start reviewing Alpha Rex Novas for these trucks. Those headlights are much cheaper and arguably brighter than some of the Morimotos.

@@HeadlightRevolution That would be cool to see, even though I don't personally own a truck. I will, however, be even more so excited to see another bulb shootout starring SV-4 clones from eBay and Amazon (Katana, Nineo, PrecisionLED, F2, etc.) going against the rest of the competition (DD SL1, Morimoto 2 stroke 2.0, SV-4, GTR Ultra 2, etc.)
Plugged in will give you sequential. Unplugged will give you instant on/off or “flashing”. I just installed a set on my 2009 about an hour ago.

Really wish these came in chrome, have a white diamond 2012 Ltz, I love this look but black does not match the white diamond in my opinion. Is there any plans on adding a chrome version
We do not make this headlight, this is made by the company Morimoto. We have not heard any news about that headlight coming in a chrome model, sorry to bear the bad news! Let us know if you have any other questions, we are happy to help!
For my 2500 I already have the fuse “ignition misc. “ being used for my lift pump, is there a nothing fuse spot recommend to install this harness for these headlights? Thanks
You can use the fuse tap on any other fuse that gets ignition power!

People complaining about the price are gonna pay at least the same if not more for an OE assembly on all the new trucks. These seem to be OE quality. So the price is pretty reasonable.
What about the factory DRL? I know the Chevy Silverado's used the Low Beams for the DRL's, will that not turn on the the headlight as well?
These are designed to work perfectly with the factory DRL. The fuse tap ensures the bright white DRL operates properly as well.
2010 Silverado, it was the 43 fuse. Be sure to check the name of the fuse to get the right one. Thanks HR for reading the fuse name this really helped out.

I have these and one of the low beams just stopped working. And to my knowledge you can't replace the bulb can you??

Is there any way I can adjust the headlights left to right with the headlights on?
Not sure if you could actually reach those with the headlights in the vehicle or not, but the adjusters are a mechanical system, so there wouldn't be any reason that you couldn't adjust them with the headlights turned on! 👍
Do these headlights fit a 2013 Chevy Avalanche? I know parts are interchangeable with the Tahoe and Suburban, wasn't sure about the Silverado
I am sorry to say that these will only work on this model truck, not some of those other GM truck and SUV models. Wish I had better news for you there, let us know if you need anything else!
These are badass. So badass. But $900 before taxes, shipping. So $1k for headlights.??? It makes me pissed. I mean I can get factory replacement bulbs for $10?? Those LED bulbs of Amazon for $75. To spend a $1k for these. That’s a hard sell. If you guys could drop them down to like a $399, now your talking. But with all that being said...... I’ll be heading over to buy these ASAP 👍🏼
You are comparing the bulbs to these housings, that is not a good comparison. I would recommend checking out some OEM LED Headlight housings for different vehicles such as the Ford F-150, that will surely give you some perspective!

Im currently filming multiple do it yourself videos for my 12 Chevy Silverado and it’s upgrades. I plan on releasing them as part of new segment on my channel. These headlights appear nice but how could I justify paying so much for something so little people have experience with?
Great question!
Morimoto has been in the headlight game for over 10 years now, and are very well known in the industry for their quality parts and performance.
All of the Morimoto headlights (not just this one) are extremely high quality, and are the only aftermarket assembly that actually as light performance in mind.
With any new product, it will take some time for more reviews to come up, but I would suggest looking into their other headlight assemblies to learn more about peoples experiences with them.
These will fit on a 07 1500? If they do I’m buying them right away
These are for the 07-13 Chevy Silverado, so they would fit your 07 Silverado just fine!
Do these lights need resistors?? Do they hyperflash after a while??

On my 2011 silverado, I have these headlights and I’ve noticed that as soon as I take the vehicle out of park, they turn on even during the day. Is this supposed to happen?

While they're not cheap, they are the best aftermarket headlight on the market in terms of brightness and quality. As the old saying goes, you get what you pay for.

I got a ticket last night because the low beam halogen bulbs are constantly blowing. I've owned my 2007 Silverado Duramax for several years now and more often than not I'm driving at night with one low beam. I think I'm done with halogen.
