Awesome!, I love figuring out this kind of stuff. Plus, it validates ALL of my "junk" drawers and my various boxes of "may be needed one day"!!!! Love this phone!!!
You’ve done it again. Blown my mind. So simple yet so effective. I would never think I just look around my house for certain things like that to build an incredible piece of art like you did. Absolutely love your videos because they have taught me quite a lot, as I enjoy making stuff myself. I don’t think you really cheated by 3-D printing. You use whatever you can which is what I do. Another great video. Please keep it up. Take care and blessings to you and your family from England.
@@VanOaksProps you are more than welcome. Just please keep on making these great videos. I am self taught on how to make things but you have taught me how to make them easier. I tend to take the harder route LOL. Take care of yourself. And thanks once again.
I've been wanting to make one of these for ages. I've collected my parts around the house but just aint got around to doing it.. Yours come out great..
Looks good expect for the color. Looks a bit bland. Some distressed gold or bronze on the base and the receiver a some wear of the handle and it will look perfect. Not sure how bid the receiver is, but could it accommodate a speaker or exciter? Could be an additional talking prop in your haunt.
Well, that came out nice… I had hoped that 3D printing was not involved…. The prop world on RUclips is rapidly transitioning to “I hopped into Fusion 360 and created a model and then printed it” If only it was that simple… I have a working phone replica with push buttons I got somewhere and I am hoping to convert to a good looking prop one day…
I don't think that you cheated at all. After all, you had the 3D printer and filament 'just lying around' in your shop. No asterisk needed. Nice build, as always.
Are you one of the lucky ones that lives near Disney Land? A trip like that cost me $3K in 2008. It was my son’s birthday so worth every dime but still.
That vintage looking phone looks amazing 🤩, thank you so much for sharing 👏👏👏
Thanks for watching

Great result. Loved the ambitious challenge and the unique prop selected. I have to wonder how many people even remember that style of phone.
Nope, never would have guessed it! Fun and inspirational.

Mrs. Van Oaks came up with a genius way to get you to muck out your shop, one project at a time. 😆
Yes she did!
Fantastic build. Like how you connected the smaller p.v.c. to larger pieces !
I love it!!! You’re super creative!! Shout out to Mrs. VanOaks for wholeheartedly supporting your creativity!! 👍🏻🤩🙌🏼🤗😊
Thank you so much! I'll be sure to let her know.
This came out wicked cool, gives me a feel of vintage Tower of Terror . Excellent build D!!!

Love those old timey phones!
Really cool. I liked the first receiver more, it was kind of extraordinary.
Wow very creative!! Great job the cheating was worth it. It looks amazing.
The question now is “what did Mrs. Van Oaks think about you modifying the rules?” Asking for a friend.
She didn’t have any issues with it, although she liked the first version of the receiver and didn’t think the printed version was necessary.
Fantastic build love working with found parts
Thanks 👍
Dang man! That transition tip between pipes was great. Fun project man!
I love the queue at Mickey's Runaway Railway! The Imagineers did a great job making the props. Your take on the phone is great!
Thank you! Lots of fun props in that queue line.
A pretty great build. I liked the look of your scratch built receiver just a little better than the printed version maybe if you paint it gold.
What a great idea, and so well done.
Thank you! 😊
I love this. Also gives me something to build with the two broken phones I bought for parts on another build.
There you go!
Great build. it just needs a bit of weathering/use wear
Absolutely
Awesome as usual! Thanks!
ROTFLMFAO 🌹...awesome 🌹... greatly appreciate 🙏 🙌 👍 you's.... creative & thx 4 sharing your creativity with us.. ... Sincerely Sincere Miss Judith... 🌹
So so cool 👍👍👍👍🤩
Curious will you be making a how to tutorial on weathering and painting your urns which are in your Etsy store ? I love to see your approach
I’ll see what I can do.
Oh, I am SO hoping you're going to hauntify this! It would look perfect in the old Hollywood Tower Hotel.

Clever!
Thanks!

If I had a bit more time, I’m sure I could’ve come up with an off the shelf solution for both parts.
I’m sure you could have too…
I’m not judging, it’s just an observation…
‼️ Ubetcha!
Very good, but it's crying out for some weathering/petina/wear marks.
I agree. I had intended on doing some antiquing to it but another project got in the way.

True. Thanks for watching
Can you do one about how to make a gun or a knife
Not likely. I don’t really do weapon props.
Hey, as long as you didn't have to buy any new filament, it's not cheating. You had it on hand.
Bingo!
Are you one of the lucky ones that lives near Disney Land? A trip like that cost me $3K in 2008. It was my son’s birthday so worth every dime but still.
We’re about an hour away. So not exactly close, but not 3k worth of distance.
Glad you didn't start with a toilet plunger....😂
🤣
Ugh… 🙄 AGAIN with the 3D printing… A loss not a win. Though I do love the result
I had hoped to do it all from scratch but in the end it’s about making things & being creative. How it was achieved shouldn’t matter.
Technically, you DID already have a 3D printer and some filament at home, so...
Yeah. I didn’t have to buy anything specifically for the build. It was all on hand.
