    I am happy to be up towards the top of the pile and the buggy is still alive to get converted back into what it was intended to be, a 2wd dirt buggy!
    Congrats to all and a huge thanks to Peter with his amazing generosity for hosting and offering up the wonderful prizes!

      It was, I was just bummed as I had hoped it would break over that mid 60s barrier but 62 seemed to be its number! It was consistent for sure! I am glad it made all the passes with no breakages and It was fun tinkering on it! It can now get torn down and get rebuilt for some track time and go back to a slower and more fitting lifestyle playing in the dirt!

    This was an impressive run. You took a 15mph car and went 62mph. Pat yourself on the back. The only difference between our cars is in my last run a had the 22 tooth pinion and a 4.0 turn motor set at 8300 kv. You should be proud 👏

      I am good Joe, just had my hopes for more of the upper 60s instead of the lower side. It was fun tinkering on it and 62 was still a hack of run to drive away from. I just wanted to close that gap a bit more than I did! LOL! Congrats on the crazy speeds you got, it came with some damage along the way but you got it flying! LOL!

      It did drive really well, slowing it down is the trickiest part! I am happy with it but I was just let down as I had it in my head it should have done about 65+ with that setup but it did not have it in there. It came home in one piece and will be converted back to normal, slower buggy type driving from now on!

      Thanks Al! It ran really well and came home in one piece. I had it in my head it should clock in around 65-667 so only hitting 62 was a little let down but overall i am very happy with the buggy and the performance. I just need more power! LOL!!!

      Thanks, it drove really well and the toughest part was slowing it down. It was a fun challenge and I enjoyed it, I know I was a little disappointed in the video but I just knew it was going to be a 65+ run and it was not. I just got it put back into buggy mode tonight and it will be out sling dust on the track soon.

      Thanks James! It did well, I just had it in my head it should go 65+ so I was let down at the time. I am happy with the results and knew I was not going to catch Joe anyways so I did my best with what I had. It ran well and nothing broke and nothing went up in smoke so it was a good time! Now it will get torn down and rebuilt back to the normal buggy standards and head back out to kick up some dust on the track!

I just know it was going to be about 67mph but obviously I put in the 62mph setup as it hit that consistently! It came home in one piece and nothing broke during any of the runs so it was a win! I got it converted back over to a regular old dirt buggy last night and it will get out on the track sling dirt around soon enough.

It could have done more if I wanted to throw more money but it is all in good fun so I am calling it quits. It came home in one piece and will get striped and rebuilt to be a regular buggy and will be out on the track from time to time slinging the dirt and dust around! Gina says hi back at ya! I think on the laps after the first on I got on full throttle a little sooner so it went past us a lot faster. The first one was a bit more timid! It ran well and smooth overall and nothing broke or went up in flames throughout all the runs so it was a success. Now it is time to strip it and rebuild it for some laps out on the track kicking up some dust.

    Ah, ha ha, "62, dammit!" I think that was an awesome speed to achieve, buddy! That buggy is so planted on the tarmac, I love speedrunning the DT-02!
    Your last run, even it might not be more mph, it was so beautiful, straight as an arrow!
    I think now that MF-01 thing, it will be a much harder vehicle to drive fast, we see how it goes, he he...

    • @AddamsPlayground
      @AddamsPlayground  19 дней назад

      Thanks Mads! I had my heart set on break over the mid 60s but it did not have it in it. It would be a great bracket racer as it hit 62 exactly multiple times so it was consistent! It run well and it came home in one piece so I cannot complain! It will now get rebuilt back into a regular buggy and get back to slinging dirt around the track!
      I drove the MF01X the same morning, the car did pretty well, the guy editing the videos from it failed miserably though. You will see that in a couple days, boy was I bummed but there is a lot more time to more with that one! I will say, at similar speeds it is twice as sketchy to drive!! LOL!

      Thanks buddy, it was flying out there and very stable at speed. Slowing down has been the tricky part! Joe vs RC had a crazy fast run recently with his and I think he is going to win as I doubt anyone can top that. I cannot, 62 is all I got but I can hit that reliably!! I did want to break over the mid 60s so I was a bit disappointed at the time but overall I am very pleased it went so fast and came home without any damage to it. Now it can get rebuilt and live a happy and slower life slinging dirt on the track.

      Yeah these are around 15-16mph out of the box so making it go 4 times that fast and run smoothly was fun and a challenge! I just got it converted back to a normal buggy this evening and it will be out on the track at some point in the near future!

    Thats ok 99.2kph just shy of highway speed in Australia. I have a question Im a bit new to electric but have many racing drones. The balance plug on the battery connector if I dont plug that in my battery voltage is all over the place between the 2 cells. Do you find this hapens to you though if I plug it in I cant put on the battery clamp also affraid of it shorting out.

      Oh man, now I really want it to go 63 to break over the 100kph mark! LOL! It did well and nothing broke and no smoke so it was all a success. For the cars and trucks the balance plug is just for charging. I have occasionally seen then get slightly out of balance from a run but usually not much at all, maybe .2 volts difference is about it. I know nothing about the flying world, electronics wise really. I know the amp draw from 4 brushed motors probably can put a beating on a battery for sure! LOL! Luckily for us most of the chassis tubs are plastic so not much worry about shorting anything with the balance plug. I can see in the cramped quarters of drones and planes where it may be a bit of worry at times though. I think it would be destined to happen if it were to happen, the chances seem extremely slim but always a thing that could happen I guess.

    Now that I've watched this video I don't like to see you upset remember RC is supposed to be fun (Then why did somebody make e clips lol)
    I can't believe somebody makes a 7,700 KV motor
    The mesh didn't sound right maybe that was slowing you down

      Yeah, I had to adjust the schedule this week. I wasn't mad, just let down as I was hoping for the upper 60s and not the lower side of it. I think Joe was running a 8300kv motor in his. It was one of the drag motors so there are some very high revving motors out there now! The pinion is not the perfect mesh for the stock gearing. I think the stock .8 mod and the pinion is a 32p but it is close enough, just a bit noisy. It may have impacted it some but I still needed another 10mph to beat Joe so it would never be enough with the setup I had. It was fun tinkering on it and 62mph is nothing to be ad about!

      @@AddamsPlayground 8300kv So that's why his is faster how fast did his go is that the highest KV motor made I should put that in the ryft lol

      @AddamsPlayground  19 дней назад +1

      @@nomusicrc Yeah, some of these is all about gearing or motors depending on the kit. Last year it had a ton to do with the gearing in the TT02 kits to get them going fast even with super fast motors.
      The ryft would do about 50+ easily with that motor in it if it would be able to stay straight. Those big squishy tries are not going to allow that!
