I said it once and say it again.... dude I love your style. Chilling music, just working.... no shit talking... please continue your work. I really enjoy your vids
Hopefully you remembered to re-torque your front control arms to the new ride height, as that will tear the bushings very quickly. Also, I highly recommend some AKG bump steer correction plates to keep the steering geometry proper when lowered. (I’ve installed a lot of coilovers on E34’s at my shop, I speak from experience)
I have all new bushings for the car so I didn’t do that with anticipation to change them but I haven’t heard of the AKG correction plates, will check them out!
1st time responding to your vids. Love your scenes and edits bro...music too. Chill. LOL...even I got the DCD pun 🙂 Keep up the good work. Cheers from Trondheim, Norway.
Seen that its already mentioned, but don't forget to loosen off the control arms and retorque them at the new ride height, bushes will last a whole lot longer, or even better get a set of E31 control arms, they have spherical bearings in them, and a set of moosehead spherical inserts for the other pair of arms, nice and tight front end then, it's what I ran in my old E34. Also, grab some euro bumper trims, gets rid of the side clearance lights for a smoother look.
Yessir! I have new bushings for the car so I’ll adjust it accordingly then. I haven’t heard of people using the e31 control arms on these, I’ll look into that as I’ll do a subframe/suspension refresh next winter
What a beautiful video homie. Who would have thought wrenching could ever be such a visually pleasing experience. Basically, it’s only possible when filmed, edited, and posted by Chromatic Garage. Love what you do bru.
I’ve been wanting to install a set of BC Racing Coilovers on my G coupe…then I woke up from my dream and the reality that I have 0 mechanical inclination. Great video brother
Let me know what you think of 16k on front and rear... I imagine it's going to be very jarring. I have roughly 12.5k fronts w/ helper springs, and roughly 9k in the rear w/ helper springs and it's perfect for all uses.
Man I was not expecting that lengthy dissy of the trunk to get to those upper strut nuts, but that just means more opportunities to clean! Loved the vid and can’t wait for the reveal
I feel a little guilty for not stopping by earlier... But excellent video dude! Great to see that these older cars get the love they deserve :) such a classic, that e34! Really appreciate your DIY attitude for all the modifications :) keep it up buddy! :D
Those look great! I had coil overs on my cobra but took them off cause it was just way to ruff of a ride. When my kids say it was a ruff sit in the back I knew it was time to do something different lol.
Great work, looking forward to the next vid. Although thought you may of refreshed the callipers prior to re-fitting, as those sparkly new wheels will show them off.
The “CZD” had me dying 😂🤣 but man you couldn’t have picked a better set of splits for that car, especially with the red OG style center caps to match!?.. 🤤 good god... wouldn’t expect anything less though haha Ive wanted to run a set of futuras on literally anything for forever. Classic, simple, timeless design, and gorgeous on any euro 🤌🏼 Idk if they already gave you a little hookup on the coils, but if not I wish I would have known, man! Could’ve got you a bit of a deal on a set of broadways 😬 your videos always get me so motivated to go work on my car 😂 and especially now that I got the daily Tiguan R somewhat where I want it, but I FINALLY landed my Estoril blue coupe/black nappa Vader interior e36 m3 project 🙆🏻♂️ Been looking for almost a year now, and actually found one that checked every single last box, about 2 weeks back 🤤 Another banger video in the build lineup 🙌🏽 you never disappoint. Can’t wait to see it all buttoned up with the wheels on, and w/e else you got planned for it, sitting next to your e36 😍🤤
That’s how I feel man! It’s absolutely a dream wheel for me. If not theeeee dream wheel haha. Congrats on the M3 man! Estoril blue is absolutely one of my favourite colours bmw has ever done. I’m sure your very excited to get started working on it. Thanks for the kind words man. Hope your week is blessed!🙏🙏🙏
@@ChromaticGarage man my mind is going a million miles an hour with ideas for it haha super hyped. Since I managed to somehow find one with almost every specific exterior/aero/interior option I wanted, the only thing I really need/want to do is source and refurb either the AC Schnitzer or Dinan exhaust (even though both are rare af), put it on coils, DTM diffuser, and rebuild an era correct set of splits for it 🤌🏼 then just maintain it and keep it as mint as possible haha I have the wheels narrowed down to a few sets haha if I could find some gotti 1001’s it would be the full 100% extra next level dream build, but doing a step up of some epsilons are next on the list. Thing makes me feel like a little kid on his birthday 😂 Also, idk if I’ve said it before, but if not, I highly recommend picking up some coilover blankets 🙌🏼 ever since I found out about them, and bought some for my old STi build, I’ve now bought a set every time I order new coilovers for a new build. By far the best investment and most favorite part I buy for every car. Keeps em sealed up, and staying brand new for the entire lifespan. I always unbox the coils, fully disassemble em, hit em all with some never seize/anti seize, spin em back together, and throw em on, and throw the coilover blankets on. BCs on the STi still looked brand new 9 years later 🤌🏼
Great looking wagon. I run a 535i sport saloon and am just looking at coilovers. Are these available here in the UK? I may do a couple of videos about my E34 but they won’t look as professional as yours do. Nice work!
Oh my GAWDDDDD!! How can you leave us not putting the wheels on like that 🤦🏽♂️🤣 can’t wait to see it on the floor with new wheels it’s gonna look HAWT!! What was that silver paste you put under the disk brakes? We have copper grease here in the uk but its brown never seen it in silver!
That wagon is going to look sick ones is done... My and you almost have similar cars BTW, only own 1 98M3 vert, & 1 07 rear wheel e91 wagon. Algo another e36 sedan & 1 F30 but that’s another story 🙂 Like you’re videos 🙏🏽
A réal awesome one like usually 😎😜by the way your rims are OZ futura very very Nice Classic rims ( italian manufacture😜)keep it going on your bimmer 💪 Cheers and see you on your next one 😎
Nice! Just need that E30 Touring now....🍩😎 Great score on the DZD's... I actually have some low quality reps of these from Italy. I think they where made by a shady company called O.Z. or something cheesy. Unfortanly cant afford any real wheels for the time...
That's not the greatest spray paint for exterior parts that I've used. If you can use some 2K to coat it that would be better. I personally like VHT Epoxy, little better for suspension parts but I get gotta work with what is available. Nicely done!
