It's the quality of the food that makes Waitrose special. It's part of the John Lewis Partnership that is owned by a trust on behalf of all its employees.
Waitrose is a high-end grocery and retail store but their pricing reflects this. Favoured by middle to higher-income people, that don't need to watch their budget. When my local store closed down there was an uproar but they didn't change their mind. It is probably up there with Marks and Spencers.
@kjh23gk Go to the tesco in Dorchester, clock towers, pergolas and a big ass fountain as you drive in. Supposedly King Charles had input into the design.
@@stevetaylor8698 Hull has a Waitrose?!?!? The town that was disqualified from the "Crap Town" book for having the most ridiculous streak of wining...and yes I have been there and unless it has improved a metric tone...wow.
The late Alan Coren said the wonderful thing about Sainsburys was that it keeps the riff raff out of Waitrose.

When an American sees a sugar-filled muffin: "Mmmm... breakfast" 😂😂
Filmed last year judging by the location of the sandwiches.
You wanted warm water lol...try a tap...apparently the cleanest water in Europe!
i love bath ❤ waitrose is a relaxing but pricey experience
You went to THE most expensive store...try Aldi/Tesco the prices will blow your mind 1/3 of US prices and no tax added to the bill!
All shops except cash and carry include vat (sales tax in their prices. Fresh food is exempt
Waitrose is a more expensive higher end shop

@@RonSeymour1 Yes, it’s a nice place. I liked M&S also, both are great. Cheers!
Mikes back in London
Waitrose ..like Target haha ...nope
quality of food is more like Wholefoods quality not like the food in Target
The Royal Family shop there ! If it’s good enough for them. You only find Waitrose stores in upper class areas, never poor
Not really upper class areas just at least areas with a decent amount of office workers.
That's perhaps the most run down and depressing looking Waitrose I have ever seen!
Yes it is but it’s in Bath which is a beautiful place. You’d think they’d have a better Waitrose…
You've clearly not been to the one in Hull.
Agreed, my local Asda looks better. 🤨
