These are just the crappy/average homes I work on. I was once sent into a new GOOD home, freshly finished/painted to correct a curved wall that was in there. The drywallers had broken the board, and the tapers botched the finish. I spent 2 weeks correcting the arc on the curved wall (16 coats of plaster, varying thickness) and correcting the rest of the finish in the house. I think that one was 2.4 M.......7 years ago
I love field trip days! Building materials are threw the roof in the Southern US. I don't understand why anyone would want to take on that kind of debt in our economy.
Prices here in Maine are wicked high right now. Majority where I live are $300,000 and up. Lots of bidding wars and they've been going for anywhere from $20,000 to $24,000 over asking price. Way outta my league. Lots of apartments going up to in my area for $1400 to $1500 a month with not a lot included. I live in a town to live in the city is a lot more.
Nutso, just nutso. I guess my priorities are WAY different than most peoples. What I could do with a cool million ... would not involve living in a neighborhood like that.
There still building a neighborhood of some sort across from me they must have some kind of extra incentive we’re not aware of in my opinion have a great day thank you
@@NorthshorePreparedness That is crazy Norhshore. This shouldn't be. If I get hit with prices like that. I will be joining the homeless. But I will not live in the city in a tent. Like you stated a couple nights ago in your live stream. I have my preps coming in daily. And I will be gone and like you said I will not be coming back. Take care and God Bless sir.
My mortgage is 1117 a month, it's increased from 940 a month less than 4 years ago due to property taxes and homeowners insurance increases. This is for a 3 bedroom 2 bath fixer upper. Still doing better than renting, the closest big city it's easily 1000+ for a one bedroom. It's ridiculous.
Mine started going up right after the rent freeze by $150/mo. It will increase once again by $200/mo one year later! It’s gone up over $400 in five years.

Same in my area too. I'm from North East and Maine used to have affordable housing prices.
Friend just sold her place at $30,000 above her asking price!

Lots of high density housing, when everything is full, traffic, noise and congestion will be high too
