#1 is just due to the way the GRS Lex-C lights are made. #2, IDK why, but I suppose the other signals may have had some at one point but they were all replaced.
George Munks Fire alarms and trainspotting Yes. They were made of plastic and tend to be very fragile, so they've become rather hard to find. It didn't help that they weren't very bright unless you were looking at it from pretty much dead-on.

Why do the side street lights have a slanted flat lens and those are the only lights of it's type at this crossing?
