-In Fantasia as well as other worlds, a golden eyed person wearing a black coat appears, who is he?
Nomura: He is the mysterious man who appeared in Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep Final Mix as a boss who manipulated time. Just who he is will be told in KH3D. Everywhere he goes, a few people of the darkness turn up, like how Vanitas came out in the trailer.

Disney and Square Enix should be proud. They've just created prehaps the most badassed character to ever grace the surface of any of their games, and I hardly doubt that they will top it. The music, the lack of a voice, and the whole "running in terror so I don't get brutally raped" conveys the Mysterious Figure/Unknown so well, that all the creators, producers, music directors, musicians, and everyone else should stand up, congratulate themselves, and sit back down in a comfy chair.
Well, the Mysterious Figure's combat style most closely resembles Ventus' Wingblade Command Style, with some of Vanitas' attacks mixed in. It can also cast Raging Storm, Mega Flare, and Collision Magnet, and I know at least one of those is exclusive to Aqua. Considering that the Mysterious Figure wields two swords, appears in the Land of Departure, the fact that Ven's heart was lost, and all of the above, I think it's safe to say that it's probably Ventus' Nobody.
Ah... young Xehanort. Gave Aqua, Ventus and Terra a hell of a time. But Riku was able to take him down a peg! Go Riku!
@KingIchigo This is why, when Sora turned into a Heartless, he was only a Shadow (due to the very small amount of darkness in his heart) and this also explains how Kairi's light was able to free his heart from the hold of the Heartless.

I'm so excited to fight Young Xehanort for round 3 in the next and final time in the next game and hopefully to win the Alsome No Name Keyblade.
This guy seemed to have traits of every Org. XIII member. Xemnas' lightsabers, Xigbar's long range attacks, Xaldin's wind manipulation, Vexen's shield, Lexaeus' meteor attack, Zexion's illusions (turning invisible,) Saix's build, Axel's fire manipulation, Demyx's clones, Luxord's time manipulation, Marluxia's ability to scatter your means of attack and his Doom ability, Larxene's speed, and Roxas's dual-weapon wielding skills. Good thing he didn't join the Organization. Sora would be fucked.
I figured out: He is a MEMORY! He cannot be Xemnas 'cause that hasn't happened yet, and you fight him as Terra, It's not a Sentiment because "Armor of the Master" is Eraqus' and "No Heart" can be scrambled together and add X to the begining spells Xehanort. Xehanort and Eraqus grew up training in Land of Departure, wich becomes Castle Oblivion where your memories materialize, so maybe it's just a memory of a younger Xehanort that the Land remembered and let loose.
the cloak is used to hide their scent from the darkness so it doesnt have to be someone linked with organization 13 or the future. even so, xehanort uses it in the intro when he takes ven to destiny islands.
Before the Nobodies used the coats as a themed outfit, several mages and Keyblade wielders used them for safe travel through the dark corridors and the Realm of Darkness, Heartless can't detect anyone who's wearing one.
The violon solo bit reminds me of something from Fringe, VERY cool =D Can't wait for the soundtrack of Birth By Sleep, 358/2 Days and Re:Coded to come out!
I think that he may be Terra's nobody. Xahenort took over his body and when he lost his own heart and became a heartless,(manafested as the guardian attached to Terra's body) Terra also had to lose his. It's very possible that he split into two different nobodies, one belonging to Terra, and the other to Xemnas. Sora had two nobodies come his body, (Roxas and Namine) even though only one belonged to his heart. That would also explain the similar weapons.
My theory is that he might not be an Organization member, though in a sense, he might have some influence over them. Considering that no one was turned into a Heartless, no one could possibly have a nobody (Note: losing your heart =/= gaining a nobody, especially when you have no body for your Nobody to be based on). The only explanation would be time travel, but Luxord's powers don't seem have any temporal effects, but they just "add" time as part of a game. So time travel seems unlikely.
My theory about him is that it's one of the Organization members [maybe one that wasnt truelly a part of the Organization like Xion was] that went back in time to maybe try to eliminate Aqua, Ven and Terra [since the scene against him is canon and u can face him with all 3 characters]. The why and how, idk, maybe he was trying to stop what happened in the Keyblade Graveyard from happening.
I'm going to have to guess it's a character that will have a connection to the story in a way we have no idea exists yet. Xemnas in KHI had a connection no one knew about until Chain of Memories and even then his identity wasn't given until KHII. The Lingering Sentiment's identity wasn't shown until Birth By Sleep and before that we didn't know anything about the Keyblade before Sora.Kingdom Hearts 3D will create the way the Mysterious Figure will be introduced, and KHIII will introduce him. IMO
my theory to the mysterious man is that he is Vanitas's nobody, since when a heart is taken (or in this case broken in half) the shell is left behind to become a nobody... but since only half the heart was taken from Ventus it might of created a shell or found one for itself to survive in before becoming Vanitas and the mysterious man, somewhat makes sense in my mind o_O
Maybe the Mysterious Figure is an embodiment of memories made from all the ones who perished/lost their hearts. That would explain why he can use certain abilities.
Well, I think the '13 O Clock' thing is that his/her right hand is pointing to where 10 o clock would be, and his left hand is pointing to where 3 o clock would be, thus making it 13 o clock.
This song is awesome.
A little tip: do not have your deck command nothing but curaga's, it increases the chance for the unknown to use doom. Unison rush is kinda a cheap shot attack but it's effective.
Only song I could listen to repeatedly and Be sad that it ends so shortly. Only song on a Kingdom Hearts game that is on repeat times 100. :)
As shown in the trailer, because he is someone connected to someone connected to other people in the heart, and Xeanort's heartless and Xemnas, along with others like... Ansem as DIZ? Roxas hated that guy.
Supposedly, by this theory he would be this games main villan (Anti hero?) and would try to escape the world of dreams, and somehow gain time travel powers to go back in time and learn the powers of light as well of darkness, which would explain his encounter in BBS.
So, there. My thoughts.
Well, In the end of KH Re: Coded, there was a secret ending. It said that the parts of Xehanort, Ansem, his heart, and Xemnas, his body, had been vanquished by Sora. Yen Sid said that they will search for each other until they are met. And Xehanort is going to return in some form or fashion. So, I'm with you. I think it's a Xehanort from the future.

Therefore, the name of the song can be interpreted roughly to mean "the impulse or stimulus of the dark," or "the cause of the dark's motion"
Hypothetical question: Who or what originally triggered the keyblade war? (Hint, hint...)
@sydmanone Hey, just so you know, that ending took place after Sora got the keyblade, which is why he said "With keyblade in hand...", and when Aqua asked if it was Terra or Ven, he told her it was Sora.
One of the best music for one of the hardest bosses of the franchise, not including Sephiroth.
@fox2193 The only big problem with this boss imo is his unique grip skill. Each time you get hooked you get less time to try to get out of it and eventually die. It starts at 5sec and you need at most 3 sec to get out and every time you get hooked time lessens by 1sec. After that there is the bug when he sends you flying into the air and kills you because the game consider it a two-combo instead of one.
@Yykrostil Considering all the previous secret villians, they were a form of 'other' self from the end-boss. Eg. KH1- Ansem (endboss) -> Xenmas (Ansem's nobody); KH2 - Xenmas (endboss) -> Terra's lingering spirit (Xenmas' original body).
Hence, it justifies that for BBS: Xehanort (endboss) -> Xehanort's nobody.
Whoever plays the violin in this is AMAZING!

@Zrojas99 a big flaw with your theory is that nobodies are the shells of beings whose hearts were consumed by darkness, that never happened to Eraqus, he just died.
@DanielDaBandgeek95 correct. There was a interview, and Nomura said that the young-Xehanort in the trailers is this "Mysterious Figure".
@kookoomendez The thing is though, most of the challenging secret bosses end up being involved in the plot later down the line. For example: Kingdom Hearts 1 Unknown ended up being Xemnas. Kingdom Hearts 2 FM+ Lingering Sentiment ended up being Terra's soul in his armor.
And i'm pretty sure that it's the reborn Xehanort, which is explained in the secret movie 'Blank Points.'
The meteor spell is definatly Terras, the lightning that wraps you up is Xemnas', the orbs are used by both Ansem and Xemnas and the way MF enters the battleground, has a striking resemblance to Xemnas.

Xion was a part of Sora's Memories that shattered when he became a Hearthless...Roxas defeated her and absorbed her..that's why he Dual Wields...before...there were 2 Kingdom Keyes...which became Oblivion and Oathkeeper...shortly afterwards he fought Riku and lost
I'm thinking this fight took place in each of their stories after the Terra and Eraqus incident. Terra's possible because he couldve fought him before Xehanort. Aqua was surprised when she saw the Land of Departure destroyed when she came with Ven and then made Castle Oblivion. Which means no MF battle ground. Ven is possible because he could have returned after the Destiny Islands scene to check if Terra and the master were ok. Then MF challenges him. This is so confusing lol.
0:00-14:58 was awesome. Then after that Mysterious Figure came in and pwned all of us to prevent us from listening to his epic theme.
@ShonicTH (Continued) because its like you said the mysterious figure has all the Org. Xlll's attacks, and Luxord has time-stopping abilities just like the mysterious figure used when he slows down time and gains health off of it too. Plus the two blades he uses during battle has clock-symbols on them and the no name keyblade you get after beating him has a clock/hour glass symbol on it. Thats why time travel is another possible theory i came up with
The Mysterious Figure is the hardest boss I've ever faced. He has beaten me down more than 100 times... and I am having the most fun in my life trying to beat him.
fun fact or true you decide:the mysterious figure is (was) young xeanort in fact he was the one shown while terra was at sora riku master xeanort and master eraque's old home destiny islands, the person terra saw before older riku was young xeanort
@Shadowyconman *See my previous comment before this* About the coat, Xehanort is the one who made that black costume, so it's probably him. And the weapons(Actually the blue part of his weapons are probably/seem like Ethereal, just like Xemnas uses 2 Ethereal Blades). Most knowledge and evidence we have now points to young Xehanort.
This is my theory:
How did Xehanort know how to put Ven's heart into half and remove all his darkness? He has done it before. Mysterious Figure is Xehanort's other half, but how did he split his heart? Did he just put all the darkness and light into separate beings or what?
@Voxeril Not necessarily Young Xehanort himself, but indeed the same character who appeared througout the various worlds in the new Famitsu screenshots, as confirmed by Nomura. This character apparently leaves darkness in their wake, such as Vanitas But we still don't know if this guy and Young Xehanort are one and the same...though I admit it's starting to look a bit more likely.

SonGokuTheGreat plus, don't forget: time travel in Kingdom Hearts has happened before. when the Cornerstone of Light in Disney Castle was threatened, Merlin used his magic to create a doorway into the past, the Timeless River.
"Everywhere he goes people of darkness turn up". Maybe he is a person who is supposed to bring equilibrium, so he creates darkness. But the darkness he creates may be too much, so much, light has to fight, only to end up in darkness again. So he may not be an 'evil' being, but like death itself misunderstood as something or someone evil.
@jorgesora Actualy this is a widely accpeted thing. The KeyBlade design is a Clock one and the magic number comes back on multiple ocassions aswell. The MF's blades are indeed clock hands. As for the MAGIC NUMBER it's 13. From what I gathered, the time on the KeyBlade handle is 8:05, 8+5 = 13
The Battle level is 13
The Keyblade's stat is 6+7 =13
And supposently (I dont see it) but the stance of the MF indicates 13 o clock (Blade positions) or something....
That violin must be a keyblade as well!
My theory is that he is the the entity of all the wayfinders come to life, thus explaining some of the like moves to the main characters.
@DanielDaBandgeek95 I also think that in re:Chain of Memories, DiZ says that the coats keep you from being noticed by Nobodies or Orginization members when you travel through Corridors of Darkness, which is why he gives them to Riku and Mickey.
@Arthoras well, violin is teh main style for the music in bbs, like how CoM had teh piano (not sure what the main styles are for 1 and 2 or days...or coded) so its only natural

@DanielDaBandgeek95 Ven's heart was fractured during his battle with Vanitas. Part went to Sora, leaving the other part lost.
The reason why no of the organisation members, except Xemnas and Sora have no heartless is because they freely gave their hearts to the darkness, a heart has to be taken, stolen, ripped out in order to make it a heartless.
Remember that word that popped up in the original Birth by Sleep trailer at the end of KH2? Chasers? Unless it was a mistranslation, which admittedly it could have been, I think that might have been a Chekhov's gun, and MF is a Chaser.
After seeing some theories and adding them to my own; I'd say that MF may be a part of Eraqus with the red=evil/blue=good thing. But if MF was Eraqus' Nobody then how could he time travel? Pretty much every theory I've read could very well be right. And I think that it could also be a neutral, and very powerful being from the Realm of Sleep seeing as how that realm exists beyond time. That factor could let MF bend time at will. Square-Enix may be throwing curve balls at us w/the whole "seen 2x."

Wait....Tetsuya Nomura said that the mysterious figure is a character we saw exactly two times in BBS.....and parts of this sound similar to rage awakened...two...plus rage awakened. we see the lingering sentiment in the cutscene before the battle, and the cutscene after it. that means that the mysterious figure must be terra's Mind/soul

I don't claim to have the answer myself, but here's what I can go on.
Yen Sid told Mickey that "A man like Xehanort will have doubtless left many roads open."
He also asked if "Having one Keyblade Master would be enough if what they faced was more than one of him."
Finally the secret ending where Xehanort tells Terra: "Know this. You are just one of many roads I may choose to take. Trust me. I made certain of that."
Does anyone find it MORE better when you listen to Dark Impetus with your Right Earphone only instead of both of them on? The beginning sounds so much epic and sinister
My favorite part is 1:15 to 2:00 when the violins start going it sounds so BADASS!!! lol
It's Batman...or the person who would become the Nobody, Marluxia, considering the theme has elements from Lord of the Castle theme...or maybe it IS indeed darkruler's suggestion that he/she was Eraqus and Xehanort's master. The Figure did appear in Land of Departure, so there's a connection. But it's definitely Batman.
Things to note:
.Similar to Xemnas that they have 2 plasma/energy weapons .Simlar to Xemnas that they can make replica's of themselves
.The Figure's theme is time (the keyblade dropped from him suggests this) .Cannot be Xemnas b/c his plasma/energy weapons are red; the Figure's weapons r blue (and the many abilities that are dissimilar yo each other)
.Highly unlikely to be either Heartless or Nobody since these races have not invaded the world of light yet

Ansem:
1. His abilities were unkown then
2. In KH2 he was using a VERY high tech thingie to absorb Kingdom Hearts so he could have made those Dual Sabers and used them to test Ven Aqua and Terra...
Eraque,s' Nobody:
1. He uses the same attacks (Sonic Blade and Eruption only in a different style)
2. He is the ONLY one who lost his heart in KH:BBS before the final bosses in the KBG
@Novaxc well, idk, maybe the old master xehanort time traveled and got a young version of himself to help him? and idk, just theories, plus it might explain the unknowns time theme
@lostboy09100 I remember that from kingdom hearts 2 when sora and the gang had to travel back in time to the 1940s Disney realm. And thats something that a lot of people overlooked because they exed out time travel in kingdom hearts. Another theory that really throws me off that people think is true is that the mysterious figure is eraqus's nobody which makes absolutely no type of sense because in order to become a nobody, you have to lose your heart to darkness and eraqus didnt lose his heart 2

@KingdomHeartsMusicHQ That coat doesnt belong exclusively to the Organiztion. nor does it even exclusivly belong to Nobodies. It is a piece of clothing designed by Ansem the Wise for travel through the Dark Corridors.
@KingIchigo haha! I was makin' a joke. and yes, if either of them lost their hearts, since they are so strong willed, they would form a Heartless and a Nobody. As for the second question, it's a little more complex. The Nobodies are bodies of people that have lost their hearts, while the Heartless are the darkness of a persons heart embodied. Their strength depends on the level of darkness. Now, they don't have a heart, themselves, but they keep captive whomevers heart they came from.

@shadowflick It wasnt planned that way but xehenort sought to get kingdom hearts anyway he could so he put up several backup plans but it was unintened because xemnas battled sora in kh1 final mix if he died then he couldnt be brought back as xehenort
About the Mysterious Figure's identity..... he's probably Ansem the Wise. Look at it this way:
1) it's aprox. 10 years before Sora and the whole Organization-affair so... Ansem the Wise isn't that old those days
2) He got banished to darkness at some point so.... new special powers for him
3) *spoiler* In the secret ending you see Aqua talk with a dude in an Org coat having the same voice as Ansem the Wise... the mystery dude being the only one having one in the game....
@CalamitasDeus its possilbe for the fight to be unlocked before those battles. vanitas spirit only needs to be beaten in one file for the unknown to be unlocked in them all.. but he only comes out after the destruction of the land of departure, but you can fight him before you go to the final battles.
I know alot of people wonder who the mysterious figure is and my little thought was remember, 2 people lost their hearts in BBS (no names for those who havent played) so it's possibly bound to be one of their nobodys. Or just another imposter like riku lol.
Except this guy doesn't have other themes in this music. The theory of master Xeanort's nobody makes sense. Except, when I remember that Xeanort transfered his heart, meaning there would be no will left inside his original boddy- it would not have the will left to become a nobody he's now in Terra.
It's highly possible that the unknown is simply a dream- a manifestation of Sora and Riku's fears in the dream, a younger and stronger Xeanort. He would also bring characters like Vanitas.
@Arthoras weeell, im pretty sure it was reprocussion (i think, im not sure what the class of instrument is called.) for 1, and coded for piano, like i said, 2 is a mix, bbs is violin, and i dont know about days :/
@lostboy09100 (continued) The darkness, in fact Eraqus rejected the darkness through the entire birth by sleep game until master xehanort killed him. But Eraqus didn't lose his heart to the darkness nor did he favor it, he hid his heart inside of Terra so him a terra could fight master Xehanort off according to the secret ending. Thats why I think the "master eraqus's nobody is the mysterous figure" theory is flawed in so many ways because most nobodies have to lose their hearts to darkness.
In BBS volume 2 i think this guy owns that giant castle from BBS FM secret ending I wanna see Marluxia,Larxene,Luxord,and Demyxs original seleves and hear Ienzo talk!

It could be Riku when he was consumed by darkness, going back to attempt to prevent the keyblade from being passed down to Sora and/or Kairi? That's my guess
@Windsuke Nitpicky detail, but where'd you get the names for Time Reverser and Doom Count? In keeping with the FF naming convention, I'd just call them Undo and Doom respectively. As for him moving around really fast with the shadow trail, I'd just call that Haste. He also possesses that move where those orbs of light spear you. No idea what that's called.

But, if Mike Jones is Eraqus' Nobody, why are his weapons so similar to Xemnas'? that is my main problem. and another thing I just thought of: Master Eraqus never shows any inclination toward controling time. Mike Jones is all about controling time: he turns back the clock at certain times to try to attack you and his Keyblade that you get from him has a stopwatch at the head of it and the keychain is an hourglass. How does that match up to everything?
@Zteam101 Totally! They're so hardcore they probably use a Keyblade to play the violin instead of a bow!
If bosses are gonna get more hectic then this one form now on, then Sephiroth is just another boss we always face in video games(YOU KNOW YOU AGREE!)
@SonGokuTheGreat If we've seen him only twice, it has to be Ansem the Wise(DiZ). Think about it, He's only truly been in two games(CoM and KHII. Secret endings don't count). And if you look, almost all his attacks are similar to Org. XIII. No. 0, Ansem. The one that didn't fall into darkness. He also is confirmed for having a cloak(See: CoM. He gives Mickey and Riku their cloak). Honestly, I don't see how it can be Xehanort, how would have time to battle them BEFORE he battles them again?
@keyblademaster188 Can't be. DiZ wasn't a keyblade wielder, he had only first seen the keyblade when Mickey showed it to him sometime between BBS and KH.
@MegaMajorasmask You're going to have to explain how that works, because this fight isn't even unlocked until Vanitas, Vanitas' lingering spirit, and Terra/Xehanort are all defeated. And not all of Ven's heart went to Sora.

One thing I noticed before the guy killed me in less than 10 seconds is his shoes are much different than that of the Organizations, they were skinny boots with a bit of grayish silver to them. I'm pretty excited to find out who the guy really is, but fighting him in another game perhaps not. xD
