The way I hear this song, when listened to closely, the timpany + bass (Xehanort) are battling the violin (Aqua), which is then supported by the piano (Terra). It makes sense that the timpany + bass and piano never play at the same time--it shows that, in the end, only one of the two souls in Terra's body shall prevail. :D Oh, how I love the clever instrumentation of this piece. It fits the context so well :)
Terra´s heart was weak, only his resolution on protecting his friends was strong, that´s why it plays "Rage Awakened" instead of Terranorth theme during the fight. Aqua´s heart and resolution´s was strong enough to overpower him. Since the keyblade power is determined by the user´s resolution and heart, Aqua had the advantage. That´s why =D
i love this music. when i would meditate i would always think of trying to help a very special person who is lost and want to be themselves again but there is always something that is holding them back
@DanielDaBandgeek95 By, "All the way back" I mean that KH has evolved so much over the years hasn't it? It's nearly been a decade already. And do whatever you want, it's your video. Keep up the good work, I love how you extend these songs.
I love the concept of those epic fights that happen and decide the fate of worlds while everyone is completely oblivious to it, the duel between Aqua, Xehanort and Terras heart decided events that happened in the 10 years to come, but no one was aware or witnessed the battle, which makes it so impressive.
Yeah, they DEFINITELY need to cover the keyblade wars. Armies of keyblade wielders fighting eachother for the X-blade is something I simply have to see.
@DanielDaBandgeek95 That's exactly what it is, it's a song representation of what's happening in the game, it's beautiful actually and shows how much Shimomura care's about her work and the KH series. She had the characters battle in her music too to match the tension in the story. The reason why he said that it sounded like the secret movie's music is that Aqua, Ven and Terra's themes all derive from that piece, or that piece might derive from them, it's hard to tell.
Save for Forze Del Male and Guardando Nel Buio, Fragments of Sorrow is my favorite battle theme from KH1. And THIS is the ULTIMATE in remaking it into a freaking boss theme!!!!! LOVE IT!!!!
@MetalXXGod guardando nel buio part... is the main bass line of this song, is part of the bass line of that one... and while terras and aquas theme were derived from fate of the unknown, the part of her theme that comes out in this song did not come out in fate of the unknown... guardando nel buio... 0:05 aqua- 0:48 terra- 1:25
This piece is called "Dismiss", but ultimately it is a play off of the Kingdom Heart's theme "Fragments of Sorrow". The way the titled is "phrased", you could consider this, Dismiss, is Birth By Sleep's Fragment of Sorrow. I think that's what the implication was.
@Sonetodecirene It's been suggested by fans that similar to Sora and Ventus, Terra's personality went to Xemnas, explaining his urges to finding the Chamber of Waking, and sitting in the Chamber of Sleep talking to 'someone' that's not there. As for his heart, who knows.
@DanielDaBandgeek95 Whoa... I didn't notice Aqua's and Terra's part in this song. That's KICKASS dude. Strange how I don't care for Terra's normal theme, but finding it in this one makes me have eargasms. lol you posted this three months ago but thanks for showing me that! :D
@TheBlazemasta619 I always had the impression that Riku is well on his way to being the only keyblade master that can properly use both the powers of light and darkness. That is going to make him powerful in his own right, and if Aqua doesn't learn the meaning of balance in the future, more powerful than her. The amount of raw potential Sora has is beyond ridiculous. If Yen Sid can tap into his raw potential, he's going to surpass EVERYONE in terms of power.
@DanielDaBandgeek95 I think the whole point of including Braig in Birth by Sleep was perhaps to demonstrate how Sora's strength as a keyblade wielder actually pales in comparison to Terra, Aqua and Ven, Terra and Aqua beat Braig effortlessly and both beat a form of Xehanort alone. After all Xigbar did say that Sora wasn't even half the hero the other three were.
Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep is by far the most dramatic and saddest Kingdom Hearts ever. In my opinion it's the best one i've played. Final Mix has nothing on this, no matter how many extra things it has. I especially love the emphasis of the violin in this games score. It can be used for happy songs, but the best are always sad such as this one. I have every kingdom hearts game (except for coded it's on a cellphone) including the final mix's,and if they keep this up, i wont stop.
@germanidiot111 Nah, the violin is similar at some parts because it uses similar chords. If you notice, it only uses melodies of Aquas,Terras themes, Fragments of Sorrow, and Guardando Nel Buio.
No song better sums up just how completely evil Master Xehanort is. The sorrows he caused throughout the series...for Terra, Ven, Aqua, Eraqus, Roxas, Xion, Axel, Sora, Kairi, and Riku, as well as the entire universe with three separate races of monsters (and with 3D, possibly a fourth) are unparallelled. You know, Sora may eventually try to offer him a chance at redemption, but it won't work--Xehanort's WAY beyond that point.
Final Notes: Demyx sources from KH2 and 3D events. Luxord Sources from dialogue in 358/2 Days. Marluxia's sources from secret journal in 358/2 days and considerable power. Larxene's sources from her character sheet on Tvtropes, specifically under "Hidden Depths".
(For 13 Darknesses Cont) Marluxia is indeed manipulative, cruel, and ambitious. However, the main reason he wanted to turn on Xemnas was because he knew he would take those very same traits way too far. And due to 3D's events, he's right. Also, what must be considered is that he's an endgame boss with 3 form, despite being XI. Larxene is sadistic, cruel and happily sociopathic. But in some (non-canon, so validation is questionable) novels, she states that she's much happier without a heart.
@ericbr7 Don't forget Aqua ALSO went through the freaking REALM OF DARKNESS with out a damn Keyblade and kept her existance. She is defiantly worthy of the title Keyblade Master.
'least the Blank Points secret ending will give you a more positive note to end it on with Sora heading out to somehow save everyone connected to him from their fates.
@angelistoftenshi I could imagine them standing in front of the first dark portal they made together: Terranort: (low whistle) Marluxia: Man, that is some deep darkness. Terranort: Yeah, hate to sink into that. Marluxia: I know, right?!
Terranort: *spams an OP version of Ars Solum over and over* Aqua: =| *blocks and counters* Music: *makes it epic all the way through* Okay, there's more to the battle than just that, but Terranort's favorite move when I play seems to be the Super Ars Solum technique. XD
All of the characters endings in Birth By Sleep was depressing. I locked myself in my room with a tub of ice cream for a day when I finished the final episode.
The parts of Destati that are used here are very appropriate: Destati! Destati! Forza, tendi la mano! Destati! Destati! E'giunta l'ora! Su rimembra tu trepida! Su sveglia! Ehi ricorda! = Awaken, awaken Extend your hand Awaken, awaken The time is now So remember the emotion So wake up! And remember
Yeah me too friend! But you see my fav antagonist as ever in KH is Ansem, and so you see what best reason for this to be my fav theme ever in the game. Man working hard everyday to be equal as him in body and mind(i mean so intelectual). And i'm close, but in case of the hair i guess i will have to get me a wig looool x'D
Maybe in the tradition of Sonic the Hedgehog games of late, we'd hear a FINAL Battle Mix of one of the two Kingdom Hearts theme songs used in the Final Battle with Xehanort.
I played through this battle again, realized how much the ending to the Final Episode SUCKED after suffering through my first run-through on proud once again, then I watched the secret ending and felt happy again. I do love me some Terranort
It would make sense for the 7th Light (Aqua or Ventus, most likely Aqua though) to appear at the exact same moment as the 13th Darkness based on the fact that Xehanort states that the 7 Lights and 13 Darknesses are destined to appear. Going from that, Aqua and Ansem the Wise are the only 2 people who have a chance of showing up at the exact same moment (since they're both in the Realm of Darkness) and Nomura did say most of the members have previously been seen. It's all speculation though.
@B4K4Doval I agree that Aqua is probably the most powerful keyblade wielder atm but to be fair, Sora and Riku have only been using the keyblade for a short time period. Neither are trained to use it, Aqua has been training for a long time. Not to mention Terranort was already wounded from his previous battle. Also Xemnas' power was obviously amplified a great deal compared to Terranort who also has no memory at all.
@SumJ23 You're kidding, right? Have you seen the 3D trailers? Sora's literally killing things with PARKOUR. Not to mention that they added command styles into the mix. And aside from 3D, in KH2 he has drive forms BECAUSE of Donald and Goofy. Ultimate form in a boss battle would be the owner of those BBS Critical Mode 1-hit KO's. Not to mention that Sora hasn't officially recieved proper keyblade training. He's just been running around...
Actually, the whole Organization XIII forming was already covered in both 358 Days and in Dream Drop. But yes, we need to see what happened in the Keyblade Wars.
@sora412zx This is what I imagine the game designer's conference to make FM went: "Hmm... we did good, but I think we don't have enough giant bosses." "We could make them fight Darkside again." "No, no, that won't work." "I got it. Monstro." *Everyone cheers*
Nomura did say that we have seen most of the new Organization XIII at some point in the series, so it wouldn't surprise me if they used a couple of Disney villains. I'm pretty sure none of the original Org. XIII are part of it (aside from Braig/Xigbar and Isa/Saix), since the only ones (aside from Luxord) of being capable vessels all woke up in Radiant Garden. As for taking it seriously, I have 1 word: Xigbar. Aside from Demyx, he was probably the least serious member of the old Org. XIII.
@tidusmi2 True. I gasped when I found out that Yen Sid used to a Master. I believe Eraqus mentioned that he relinquished his abilities, though. I imagine him wielding a Star Seeker, if anything. Perhaps that explains how Mickey got his- keyblades, as we've often seen, can be passed down from one master to the next. Maybe Yen Sid passed his Star Seeker down to Mickey during a Transfer Ritual. Either way, I'd still love to see Yen Sid wield a keyblade of his own. Do I smell secret boss...?
One falls to the realm of darkness
One body was taken to darkness
One's heart was crushed and comatose
Man, depressing yet epic story
"Yield"
"Enough!"
"You have lost!"
"Sink into Darkness"
"Lost in Darkness"
"Not yet.."
"Why..?"
when he says "you have lost" it sounds like hes saying "you have a lawn"
oldbobcatjenkins 1 Honestly I always thought he was saying you don't belong.

Remember... The closer you get to light, the greater your shadow becomes!
"My name...is Master Aqua. Now return my friends heart or pay the price!"
As he said near the end of 3D: "No, the name's-Argh, whatever, Axel, fine."
So he really doesn't give a crap, from what I can tell.
"Terra's heart has been extinguished. Swallowed by the darkness within him!"
Terra: YOU HAVE LOST!
Aqua: *dies*
Me: Awww... I lost.
"My name is Master Aqua! Return my friend's heart or pay the price!"
"I will show you the depths of darkness..." - then he summons the dark guardian and my mind is blown
OMG, thank you for the extended version! I've been having to put the 2 minute one one my phone on repeat. *bows down to you*
Totally can't miss this!!!
@DanielDaBandgeek95
By, "All the way back" I mean that KH has evolved so much over the years hasn't it? It's nearly been a decade already. And do whatever you want, it's your video. Keep up the good work, I love how you extend these songs.
this is an amazing version of fragments of sorrow . . .wow thats all i can say im pretty amazed by it
I love the concept of those epic fights that happen and decide the fate of worlds while everyone is completely oblivious to it, the duel between Aqua, Xehanort and Terras heart decided events that happened in the 10 years to come, but no one was aware or witnessed the battle, which makes it so impressive.

Sora: You're going DOWN!
(Xehanort smiles evilly, summons keyblade)
Sora: Oh Crazap....
this is the first song to EVER pass the forest temple in views... i hope it stays like that...
@16afoster When the song starts at around 7 seconds, that's Guardando nel buio. Aqua's theme is at around 50 seconds.
That's really deep. I never ever would have thought of that. Like ever.
Save for Forze Del Male and Guardando Nel Buio, Fragments of Sorrow is my favorite battle theme from KH1. And THIS is the ULTIMATE in remaking it into a freaking boss theme!!!!! LOVE IT!!!!
It's definitely up there, yeah.
good job nice sound and one of my favorites too !!

guardando nel buio... 0:05
aqua- 0:48

To quote the tagline of Revenge of the Sith:
"The saga is complete"
This song is awesom ive never heard it befor!
Its soooo awesome XD

3 people have been smothered by the darkness within them
This is giving me goosebumps.
Perfect Halloween music. It's just so bloody scary.

he can dual wield because of his clothes and the formes
My favourite theme!

with Sora heading out to somehow save everyone connected to him from their fates.
And yet, he couldn't even save himself....
Destati really fits into there.....not only that it sounds great.NO!it means "awake" too.
EVERYBODY IS GOING CRAZY!!!!!!!
i wish this song or any other kingdom hearts battle music would automatically start playing if i got into a street fight. I would NEVER lose.
This, makes me, feel, so, OUTSTANDINGLY COOOOOOOOOOLLLEEE!!! xD
The beginning is the best part ^.^
@DevilRebellion "My name is Master Aqua! Now return my friend's heart, or pay the price!"
@angelistoftenshi I could imagine them standing in front of the first dark portal they made together:
Terranort: (low whistle)
Marluxia: Man, that is some deep darkness.

Okay, there's more to the battle than just that, but Terranort's favorite move when I play seems to be the Super Ars Solum technique. XD
One must wonder what Master Eraqus will do? He is, after all, still protected inside Terra's heart.
All of the characters endings in Birth By Sleep was depressing. I locked myself in my room with a tub of ice cream for a day when I finished the final episode.
i shall guid you to the depth of darkness
This is, hand down, the best final boss theme in video game history.
@kyle9772 I agree with what you said about Yen Sid. This is my favorite game series of all.
The parts of Destati that are used here are very appropriate:
Destati! Destati!
Forza, tendi la mano!
Destati! Destati!
E'giunta l'ora!
Su rimembra tu trepida!
Su sveglia! Ehi ricorda!
=
Awaken, awaken
Extend your hand
Awaken, awaken
The time is now
So remember the emotion
So wake up! And remember
I likey the reverting! XD

I JUST FOUND IT!
Terranort is an anagram of Terror Ant!
THISEXPLAINS EVERYTHING!!
•head tilt•
And Terror Ant is from...?
The Secret Episode ending was even more depressing.
Maybe in the tradition of Sonic the Hedgehog games of late, we'd hear a FINAL Battle Mix of one of the two Kingdom Hearts theme songs used in the Final Battle with Xehanort.
@Dragonpit yea, thats fragments of sorrow, and aqua, and terras theme, and guardando nel buio... thats what i think
You know Aqua is badass when she can take down Terranort alone, while Sora and Riku can barely beat his Nobody together.
I played through this battle again, realized how much the ending to the Final Episode SUCKED after suffering through my first run-through on proud once again, then I watched the secret ending and felt happy again. I do love me some Terranort
teacher: you are now all dismissed
song plays
xD
Sora got it because of Ventus. And he also got it for being chosen by the Realm of Light. That's why he can dual-weild in KH2.
It would make sense for the 7th Light (Aqua or Ventus, most likely Aqua though) to appear at the exact same moment as the 13th Darkness based on the fact that Xehanort states that the 7 Lights and 13 Darknesses are destined to appear.

It's all speculation though.
HELL YEAH!
Sora Ventus Aqua Kairi Riku Terra Mickey
this is my favorite kh song
I LOVE VIDEO GAMES
THIS IS WHAT THIS MUSIC MEANS TO ME
@B4K4Doval
I agree that Aqua is probably the most powerful keyblade wielder atm but to be fair, Sora and Riku have only been using the keyblade for a short time period. @BlackKingOfLords its aquas, terras themes, mixed together with fragments of sorrow, and guardando nel buio
@MetalXXGod Terra's theme is in the slow violin part.
@mrsilverducky Well, listen in the background, It has Night of Fate's main melody, and it's in the background, but still noticable.
@SumJ23 You're kidding, right? Have you seen the 3D trailers? Sora's literally killing things with PARKOUR. Not to mention that they added command styles into the mix. @HaLfDeAdArtist because i forgot to make it fade. my songs usually fade
I will guide you to the depths of darkness...
GGGRRRRRRAAAAAAAGGGHHHHHH
*Objective: Defeat Xehanort and his shadowy other*
@sora412zx This is what I imagine the game designer's conference to make FM went:
"Hmm... we did good, but I think we don't have enough giant bosses."
"We could make them fight Darkside again."
"No, no, that won't work."
"I got it. Monstro."

Even if he isn't a gurdian of light I WANT ROXAS BACK AND PLAYABLE
@omegasoldier382 Exactly...if you are playing in either Proud or Critical Mode.
Indeed, considering Darkness and Evil aren't synonymous in Kingdom Hearts.
@tidusmi2
True. I gasped when I found out that Yen Sid used to a Master. I believe Eraqus mentioned that he relinquished his abilities, though. I imagine him wielding a Star Seeker, if anything. YOU HAVE A LAWN! *summons lawn mower*
I could definitely see that happening
What a dream trip, ain't it pal?! xD hahaa...
This plays when if your very best friend betrays you.
