Wow I ended up getting the same battery from MPF. The white and black wires are still reversed as of 2023. After I swapped it then it finally worked! Thanks!
do I need the astro wire/ charger to connect my controller and download the updates? or can i just use a different cord i have for my regular controllers?
I have a problem with my astro. Everytime i press specifically the options button it just turns off. It still rsndomly turns off either way just wondered if there was a fix before selling or buying a new controller
my controller died 2 months after getting it. i left it in the case waiting for some solution because nothing ive ever done works, this will be my last effort, ordering the battery and trying it. can you tell us more about what wire to move around?...hopefully i plug it in right lol
I had to move the wire because I bought the cheapest battery I could find. If you get a quality replacement you should be fine. Don't be discouraged if it doesn't turn on immediately, I've had to plug them into a phone charger and leave them for hours to wake up. Also be sure to update the firmware after as it prevents the issue in the future. Best of luck!
@@JimsTechNonsense yoooooooo small update..... it WORKED!!!!!! thank you, the controller been sitting there 2 months after Astro realeased it! the amazon battery came with the right cables i noticed after opening in yours the white and black were mixed but mines were like the original they might have fixed that issue, also noticed in your controller the battery cable you had to pull under the battery casing and in my controller theres actually a cut out the cables go through, so you just pull out. i got mines on release week so im guessing they fixed that thinking it was the cables pulling out. man im so glad i didt throw it in the garbage haha...big thanks man👍
Exactly the same for me lol was not expecting to have it repaired and somehow RUclips algorithm mystery had me here. Ordered my battery and it works like a charm now thanks for this really helpful one !
I had one controller that wouldn't wake up so I plugged it onto a cell phone charger overnight and it finally started charging. Once it's charged use the software on a pc to update the controller's firmware.
Does it charge and play in usb mode? If it does the battery may be defective. If it doesn't then try another USB cable as I've had the astro ones wear out even when they look fine.
If your controller still isn't turning on try plugging it into a cell phone charger and leave it for quite a few hours, it may "wake up" the controller

Astro will not sell individual parts so it's best to look on ebay for a parts controller and swap the buttons over. I had to do it in the past.

Astro will not sell it. There's an aftermarket Nintendo switch controller that has a very close replacement but has to be modified slightly to fit.

I don't think it matters, just a usb charger that outputs more than a Playstation would
