BUCK! 110s! There you go, Baxter. Excellent selection to demonstrate the pattern. Love the one with African Rosewood as well as the Alaskan guide. Thanks for sharing.👍
Incredible and beautiful collection! One should never have to rationalize nor apologize for collecting knives! I admire your eye for quality and beauty, keep these reviews coming!
Thanks for showing us your wonderful collection of Buck 110’s. I like the wood on Alaskan version and the one you picked up from the Buck factory. Take care Andrew. 👊
I love them but not sure i like them with the custom elk covers. Wish i could see that in person compared to the brass and elk. So hard to pick a custom. Glad they offer it now though. Goes great with the ebony!
Excellent presentation of a stellar collection. Pure Fizz! You are so correct about a Buck 110 being a lifetime knife. And like you say, the ergos are just right. I'd say divinely inspired for folks that actually use a knife for more than opening amazon packages.
I agree 100% Mo! Well said! Pete of Knice slice said he would send me an early 70s 110! Will be my oldest in the collection also bump me to the Ten 110 mark. Hopefully it will transport me back to the 70's! Fingers crossed!
@@BaxtersBlades 110 Double Digits!!! I'm afraid it doesn't slow down and might even do the inverse. They keep showing up here. The 70's 110s have their appeal - a must have for the 110 collector.
The 70's sounds like a very good place to hang out, to me. Awesome looking collection, Andrew. Some beautiful pieces! Have a great day (remember me in your will).
Nice collection. Yes, you do need a large count if Buck 110s because they come in so many different configurations. Don't let anyone harras you about it. 👍😁 The N in S45VN & S35VN stands for Niobium. The Niobium was added to help make the steel easier for the manufacturer to work with. Well, according to Blade-HQ. 🎉😁
@@BaxtersBlades while searching for knife steel statistics I found Blade-HQ's page. That page shows manufacturers, some formulas, statistics and some brief history on the steels we use today. One thing I found out is that when the edge retention goes up the toughness goes down. IMO the best steels are the balanced ones like S30V. Edge retention 6, toughness 5 with decent corrosion resistance and ease of sharpening. That is just one example. 😁
Great video. Thanks for showing all these 110. My Buck 112 Slim hasn't left my side in about two weeks. Hard to sub it out. Buck, always a great choice on the daily carry.
Awesome collection. Can’t wait till the next one and hopefully you will have found the 100yr Buck anniversary shield and 50yr 110 anniversary shield to keep it growing.
The 110 is timeless. The nickel silver with black handles is the way to go. I can't get used to the look of the brass. I carry mine right in my pocket, I don't find it bothersome at all.
Hey Andrew, Great collection of great knives. I also as you know love the 110 and I also have 9 Buck 110s actually 11 but 2 are used but I have ordered another one a couple of days ago from CKW. I will let you know how it is when I get it. nThey say it's got (rich grained wood handles - I'll see what it is all about) was on sale for $45 and I couldn't resist. I just checked and the price is back to $60. I also got a Brahma 117 on sale for $55 so at that price, you know I had to get them both. I've got a 110 with elk with silver bolsters and polished blade and it's my favorite of all my knives. The only thing i would change is it's 420 steal but they won't polish S30v so.... I won't be using it anyway. When you get the Elk I suggest you get the same, it's beautiful with all the polish metal - wow. Well have a good one buddy - later
You have a way to fix balde side to side play.? I have 6 now and some are bank vault and some are exclusive but have side to side play. Sucks when you got one with nice still but its not solid.
All of mine have sold lock up have not had that problem yet. They can ware in over time and develope that. You can use a ball peen hammer and anvil and tap the pin or send it back to buck under warranty. Sorry to hear that and thank you for watching.
