I have a buck 112 slim I carry it on clean days. I have 2 buck 110s. I carry one of those when I get a chance to go hunting. Have a wonderful day today brother Tom
Great 2 for Tuesday video. I have to go with the Buck 110 as that is the only one I own - purchased a few months ago and I have dated it as mfg'd in 1970, complete with case and original box!
I carried a 112 everyday when I was overseas in the Army. It was the only model available to purchase and we could carry it in uniform. Mine is old and has no nail nick I still have it
I have owned both models for over 40 years, they are both awesome. I also have a 35 year old 112 Buck Lite with green plastic handle. It stays in my hunting pack, i have field dressed more than 100 whitetail deer and pronghorn antelope with it.
I have both, I carry and use both, and I love both. I would never want to have to choose between the two. To me, that would be like a vision of Dante's Inferno😆Great video, buddy!
Thanks, Tom, for a great video and introduction to the 110 and 112 to someone who may be new to knives or the Buck brand. Absolutely the Grandfather and Great Uncle of the modern locking folders. This is a mighty tough choice ... but if I can have only one ... I'll go with the original 110 with the longer blade, longer handle for both XL/XL+ hand sizes and/or gloved/cold weather use, and several available variants to provide more-modern materials, steels, and carry options.
I have two 110s and two 112s including a 1973 112 with no dots, no nail nick, two brass rivets, 440C and Segua wood scales. I still carry that 1973 112. The newer 112 and both 110s live in a drawer.
Excellent video Tom! Thanks for the history and information. I just bought my first 110 earlier this year. Don’t know why I waited so long. Have a very blessed Tuesday! Cheers, Dubya
Excellent video. I recently bought a 112 Slim but I have my eyes on getting either a 112 or 110 in all its traditional glory. Tough decision, but leaning toward the 112. AS I get older, a smaller blade seems to be a better fit for me.
A 112 was my work EDC for over 30 years It's a 25th Anniversary model with nickel silver bolsters I wasn't a collector back then so it got a lot of use The etching on the blade is barely legible anymore I just wanted a good knife and it was my 1st Buck Since then I have bought different variations of the 112 and the 110 I really like that sorta finger guard on the 112s I don't know what they call that though
I would like either. I've never had a Buck, but I was given a knife from both of my grandfathers after they passed. I keep those put away & I'm pretty sure they're Uncle Henrys. Thanks Tom! 😺⚔️👍🏻
Thank you 🙏 Tom. I personally live the 112 . I think it’s a perfect size and a better carry, but that’s only for my personal preference. I think the 110 is great 👍 if that fits for someone else’s personal preference for sure. 👍 Thank you and blessings Tom 🙏
I have a 110 Auto in my car for any emergency situations and a 112 Auto Elite in a pocket sheath with a clip for personal carry. Like you, I think the 112 feels better in the hand plus it’s a lot less intimidating than the larger knife in public around others.
I prefer the 110. I think the 110 has a good size blade for outdoor tasks. I have a single 112 from the 80’s and it is a great knife, but tends to stay in the drawer more often. I have purchased several newer 110s recently with the introduction of the advanced steels and still love the blade.
Tom my preference is the110 I have 5 of them. I have nothing against the 112 but have not come across one in my knife hunts at flea markets 😮. My best find was a harley davidson 110. Be that I'm a harley rider 😎 be safe and healthy and GOD BLESS AMERICA 🇺🇸 🙏
Both are fantastic. i lean toward the 110 cause I have 10 now. The 112 is great and Ive got 4 Variants. Will be getting more. They are no slouch. The 110 in hand gives me the feeling that i can accomplish Absolutely anything. Even if it terrifies somebody when I pull it out.😂
I have to say my favorite is the 112. I packed one up the PCT in 1977 from Mexico To Canada up the Pacific Crest Trail. My Dad used a 110 his whole life until he passed in 2015. Today I have that late 60's knife of his made in 440C steel. Here in Washington ,the 112 is legal to EDC. The 110 isn't
@@knifedelights7473 most states have clear cut knife laws which are straight forward. In Washington they are as clear as mud and the laws are as thick as a family Bible in comparison to other states ☹️
Used a 110 for so many decades it's an extension of my body at this point. Folks say too heavy and clunky, but when it's on my belt in a horizontal sheath, which is center of gravity and feels natural, it's actually less cumbersome than a lighter knife in the pocket with a clip, which feels weird to me.
I love em both!! The 12s footprint is just a lil more streamlined to my hand size. The 10s are absolutely great in hand also tho. Im definitely glad i have both and dont have to only have one or the other. Because there are times and situations that the larger length of the 10 is just a better tool. Great video, Brother Tom...👍👌👊🙏💯🇺🇸🔪🔥 BUCK STRONG 💪!!
The question is not "which is best" as it is scientifically proven that BOTH are needed to prevent foundational deficiencies in any collection. Fortunately, they are widely available and comparatively affordable so privation is unnecessary and completely curable.
I have a buck 112 slim I carry it on clean days. I have 2 buck 110s. I carry one of those when I get a chance to go hunting. Have a wonderful day today brother Tom
Thanks, Jason! I appreciate you sharing your thoughts.
Great 2 for Tuesday video. I have to go with the Buck 110 as that is the only one I own - purchased a few months ago and I have dated it as mfg'd in 1970, complete with case and original box!
Thanks, big brother. Keep an eye out for a 112!
I carried a 112 everyday when I was overseas in the Army. It was the only model available to purchase and we could carry it in uniform. Mine is old and has no nail nick I still have it
You have a great model. Thanks for sharing, dwheeler!
I definitely prefer the 110. No doubt my most carried knife but I do have a 112. It sits nicely beside my other 110’s.👍🏼👍🏼
110's for the win! Thanks Radar.
I have owned both models for over 40 years, they are both awesome. I also have a 35 year old 112 Buck Lite with green plastic handle. It stays in my hunting pack, i have field dressed more than 100 whitetail deer and pronghorn antelope with it.
Thanks for sharing your experience, TWP.
Those old squared-off bolsters are so nice! I can't pick a favorite. Thanks for the review!
Hard for me to pick also. Thanks, goaztecs.
Great video! I like the 110 and have several but actually carry a 112 light in my pocket. I like the shorter blade.
The 112 it is! Thanks, Clark.
I have both, I carry and use both, and I love both. I would never want to have to choose between the two. To me, that would be like a vision of Dante's Inferno😆Great video, buddy!
Pretty good analysis, David!
Both !!!!
I carry sometimes 112.
I carry sometimes 110.
It depends on the day.
Both are excellent everyday carry .
Thanks for your feedback, Josh! I appreciate you stopping by, my friend.
I really enjoy them both. I will admit I lean towards the 110 due to its larger size. Thanks for sharing all the info. Have a blessed day.
You're welcome, Stan. The 110 for the win!

Thanks for sharing your 112/110 experience. I'll bet you've gotten a lot of use out of the 1973 model! I appreciate you watching, my friend.

Enjoy you're 110, Dubya! Thanks for sharing your experience.
Been a 110 fan since 1969 ❤
110 for the win! Thanks for watching.
Great review and info, I could not pick the one I really wanted the most so just purchased both ..lol.. many thanks
Lol. That's what I end up doing also! Thanks for watching, Martin.
I've always wanted a 110 and 112
I hope that you'll be able pick one up someday. Thanks for watching my friend.

@@knifedelights7473 My grail knife is a custom made 112. I keep tinkering with what I want online, but haven't pulled the trigger.
Great knives. Love em both. Probably carry the 110 more though because I have it in the Slim Select.
Oh yeah! The slim select is a great model. Thanks for sharing, Ronald.

I have a 110 and an Ebony Case Mako so I’m happy Still would like to get a 112 but there are so many to choose from
Yes, Terrill, sometimes it's hard to choose which one. Thanks for your input!
Some really good information Tom! Thank you sir! Both are great, but I'd give the edge to the 112. Have a great week buddy!
Thanks, David. The 112 for the win!
Have both . Carry 112 .
Enjoy your channel .
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Thanks for your reply, Mike!
Great video. Love good historical context with a knife. Cheers, Tom.
Glad you enjoyed it, PEDC!
Great video and info!! I love em both but the 112 is definitely my favorite!! Thanks for sharing brother!!
Big J endorses the 112! Thanks for sharing your opinion!
Both great knifes but I like my Buck 110 better! Great video! Hope you’ve been doing well my friend!
Thanks, Phillip. Can't go wrong with the 110.

Good comparison bud. I really love them both, but I will reach for the 112 to carry more often.

112 all the way, carried one as a kid in the 70’s, swapped to a Buck lite 112 in the 80,s. In mid 90’s started getting into other American brands.
Thanks for the feedback, Jack! I appreciate you watching, my friend.

Unfortunately i have never owned any of the versions for the 110 and 112. I would use any one of them though. Price would definitely be a concern
The basic models cost the same! Thanks for watching, Jeff.
@@knifedelights7473 cool! You are very welcome Tom.

I like both but find myself carrying the 112 more often in the out doors it fits my medium sized hand perfectly
Thanks for sharing your thoughts, Bobby.
Excellent video! Very informative.Thank you 🔪👍
Glad you enjoyed it TSG!
Yes, is all I can say. BOTH !
Ditto! They are both great knives, Dennis. Thanks for watching, my friend.
I'm relatively new to Buck Knives, but these classics are all must haves. The only solution really is to have both. Let's face it.
I think you're right! But its fun to ponder the question. Thanks for watching Bob.
I have both, and every mornin' is a struggle deciding which to carry😂the 112 is usually chosen because it's a little lighter.
The 112 seems more practical to carry, but both have their positives. Thanks for watching, Walt.
The 110 for sure! It is the better knive!
Excellent choice! Thanks for watching, my friend.
As much as I love the 110/112 my edc is usually a 500 or the 301. The 500 just fits my hand so much better.
The 500 is a great knife. Thanks for sharing, Rodney.

Thanks for your comment, BN! A 110 it is!
Hi from France !
I prefer the 112, the 110 is a little too big for me as a edc.
Hello There! I understand what you're saying. Thanks for dropping by, my friend.
The 110 is a real bandit knife , the best you can get . The 112 is absolutely created beeing the most and best EDC Knife ever. ( just my opinion )
I concur, Walter! Thanks for watching, my friend.
