    I,m getting this tiny arie 3 for my 40 foot bus as diesel heater is costing far more in diesel than effort of getting wood for this heater , checked it out in person today and loved the quality of it , outstanding and very neat easy to clean too ,, cost 3,090 australian dollars with high mount setting

      We would never recommend a diesel ( or gas ) heater in a buss - the carbon monoxide you will get will cause major health issues ( and even death )
      If you do install a wood heater - ensure it has out side air for the fire - this will ensure your bus is more comfortable to live in

    July 6th 2024 ....... I've just finished installing my Aire 3 in my off grid tiny house in regional Victoria Australia ........ absolutely works a treat.
    Very low amount of wood used for a full night of warmth where the temp outside dropped to -2C overnight.
    My tiny house is 10mtrs long x 2.4m wide x 3.2m high (inside) ..... heats in no time.
    It wasn't the cheapest wood heater by a long way but I wanted a heater purposely designed for TH's and I wanted high quality, not some cheap junky chinese rubbish.
    Shout out to Maddi at Pivot for her great customer service and assistance. I actually bought 2 wood heaters from Pivot ...... great company to deal with !!

    Hello, this stove looks great.
    May I ask if the external air option has any influence in the draughts of the stove in general. What I mean is, for example, if there is increased chance of smoke come in to the room when you open the door in order to refeed the stove with logs while burning.

    • @pivotstove
      @pivotstove  2 года назад +1

      Hi Robotech,
      The Outside Air Kit actually reduces the draughts in your home.
      Because the vent is sealed to the heater, which is then sealed to the room, the vent has no effect on the air inside the room. And because the heater is drawing air from the outside, any draughts the heater WOULD have made from drawing air from the room, it no longer does.
      Hope that was helpful, we have heaps of Outside Air videos on our RUclips channel, and the same principles apply to Tiny Homes as well!

    I am planning to move to a tiny house on wheels so I’m shopping for one. The current house I live has a big one or normal size it’s a grizzly brand. It has a fan under it and it sucks air and shoots it out through the side chutes or openings so hot air is shot into the living room. What puzzles me I don’t see or hear the fans in these videos. My friend was shocked because he bought a wood stove and when he saw mines he couldn’t believe how much hot air my fans shoots Inter he room and how warm my house was. He said his barely warms the house and it’s a cheap external type of fan and barely blows any hot air.

      Old, dusty fans can definitely be quite noisy. The Charnwood Aire 3 doesn't have a fan, and definitely doesn't need one in a tiny home.
      Fans are designed to push hot air through large spaces. No need in a Tiny Home!

    That's an insulated flue pipe, are u not losing a lot of your heat going up the flue pipe. I use 100mm enamel flue pipe, with heat shield, a great deal of heat radiates from it, meaning I need to burn less wood to get the house warm.

    • @pivotstove
      @pivotstove  Год назад

      Hi David,
      Your wood heater flue generates about 3% of the total heat your wood heater produces
      However, if you have a triple skin flue kit with holes in the dropbox, you lose 8% of the heat through the holes.
      So you're trading 3% for 8%.
      You can also get the first length of your Room Sealed Flue Kit as a single wall flue, in both stainless and enamel, if that is a look and style you prefer.
