albay2000 S2000 is one hell of machine in terms of engineering, quality, driving experience and not childishly shouty, I would be very happy to own one and keep it as a daily, although I’m a BMW/Benz guy to the bones.

A friend had one....when we drove at 100mph and turned on the AC the car would slow down to 85. Very odd. Like it lost 30hp or more. As I recall it did 60 in 7 seconds

For your information the 4 Cylinder engine you is generating from 220 HP to 238 HP depending on the model while the 6 Cylinder you like is generating at most 168 HP !!!

They definitely weren't quick shifts. Mind you, if they're anything like me, they probably would have been shifting carefully for terror of shattering someone's classic M3 gear linkage.

At launch, all that black smoke is an indicator that it's running a little rich, either a CO adjustment or altitude sensor may help it.

That e30 is not healthy. Even my e34 525i is quicker 0-100
but maybe yr e34 is younger? :/
The only one who is not healthy is the driver, the 0-100 is about 6.5 seconds
