Stunning build. I’ve been waiting for a case like this. Been wanting to make 2 matching systems, one black and one white small enough to place on the shelves above the monitors being used. Think LIAN li have found my answer
Hey man! Thank you so much for this video. Been struggling with the cable management on this case. Finally glad someone pulled off the cleanest one I've seen!
Great assembly but there are 2 non-techical problems with case: 1.the source participates in the air flow inside the case; it is preferable to take air from the outside and let it out all the way to the outside too 2.we don't have positive air flow, no fan to bring in additional air: I would have mounted a fan under the power supply and one behind the case CONCLUSION: the bottom three fans are exclusively for videocard, the air does not pass, it is taken out immediately by the video card (tested with smoke); passive air in through the mesh; air inside increases its temperature due to the video card which can run at 85 degrees Celsius
Great video. Although this case offers many installation options, everyone's choice on RUclips seems to be similar, with most opting for top-mounted water cooling.
A trick i learned to help with these builds is to use braided cable extensions instead of full length cables. They're just long enough for these SFF builds.
Why didn't you place the Lian Li controller, with double-sided tape, on the SSD tray to leave more room for the cables at the bottom of the case? Maybe that way a third fan could fit in there too...
In the description you mention the cables on sfx psu being too short. The psu can be mounted on the side and also mounted horizontally to the ssd bracket with the offset mounts.
Awesome Build + Step By Step Installation!!.. Good Stuff!!.. Just a Question, did you use an ATX PSU in this build, planning on using an ATX PSU in this case!!..
I've certainly been giving some consideration to this case as I'm contemplating downsizing my 4090 rig to a SFF. I did figure out that if I use Cooler Master's VGPU Mount which is compatible with just about any 4-slot case, it allows for more GPU clearance than Lian Li's optional mount and prevents you from needing to run the HDMI or DP cable's into the case itself. And since it doesn't mount to the floor of the case like Lian Li's mount, you might, keyword being might, be able to fit maybe some low profile 120mm fans underneath it for additional airflow. Of course for max GPU clearance you'll need to side mount the PSU, but with a VGPU you should have more than enough space to mount the PSU lower and still fit a 360mm AIO. And that's to say nothing of that GPU-side fan mount if there's enough space between the wall of the case and the GPU. Either way you'll need to use the mesh side panel to let the GPU breath. Heck, if done right you might even be able to use one of those AIO GPU models, like the MSI Suprim Liquid, and mount its radiator to that side mount. I am curious if Lian Li's new Hydroshift AIO will work in this case or if it would interfere with the cable management behind the motherboard, the TL model is especially curious since the radiator is slightly thicker. Also an SFX PSU would probably be more ideal here. That standard ATX has so much spare cable it's a wonder you were able to cable manage it all in that confined space.
I also thought that Hydroshift would be perfect on the top of this case. Unfortunately Lian Li states that it is not compatible with the A3-mATX. I think the pipes from the radiator to the pump would touch the VRM heatsinks. An extra 2 cm in the height of the case would have been enough.
@@jakevillamor2032 Yeah, you could. I'm always a fan of having more intake capacity than exhaust in order to create positive pressure and reduce dust incursion. I'm about to do a build with this case and I'll likely have a cover on the rear fan holes to help keep pressure up in the case.
Hey buddy please make a video on custom loop in lian li dan case A3 matx case with liquid cooling both the cpu and gpu. I request you i am planning to buy that case for custom liquid cooled build
What’s the slot size in MM for the GPU? Looking at this case to pair with a 4070 ti super that’s 58MM and want to know if I’ll still be able to squeeze in some lian li infinity fans on the bottom.
The second port is not just for "ln2", its pretty standard to use both with an i9 processor because the board might limit the tdp with only one connected.
How long is the case if you include the thumbscrews at the back? Says 443mm but not sure if they include the thumbscrews and other bits of metal that stick out
@@RicochetForce eh the build quality is about the same. as far as compatibility the other cases can house more components than this one. and they are the same price
He put the TG side panel on so you can see the inside. He obviously thinks AIO's look better than air coolers. That's the only decision that you have to make, which you think looks best. For performance issues it is pretty irrelevant whichever you choose. All these benchmark comparisons on coolers and cases are pretty ridiculous, the difference in the best and worst performers is a few degrees, that wouldn't make any difference (at least noticeable) to performance.

Why the fuck is it so hard to find a case like this, thats maybe 1-2 liters bigger that can fit 2-3 HDD? Its a bullshit market. HDD isnt phased out for another decade and I cant find shit at under 28 L
Think if you used a SFX PSU you would be able to add a universal drive cage and have space to still connect the wires etc. Maybe get away with adding a cage with ATX PSU but would have to get it and try.
@@jezwinni107 Ill be trying this soon, as ive looked this over more than I should be and decided about the same as you. With a SFX PSU and a 240 AIO I can push the PSU to the top front, have space on either side of the PSU for cabling and the fan controller, and under the PSU is around 100mm accounting for cables. Theoretically with 10mm+5mm clearance per HDD you could shove 6 in that space. Im aiming for 3.

Why put fans under GPU ?! For me they brings nothing because GPU fans runs air out of the case ... and you dont put a fan at the back to extract ?! The Power supplies fans for me is in a wrong place, put hot air inside the case ... it will be better if it was outside ... Not a good case in my opinion. And because the power supplies, you can't put a long GPU (like rx6800 with 36cm) ... not optimal at all.
