Thank you for showing cable management, many channels tend to ignore that part while it's extremely obscure and hard for beginner like me. Thank you and good one! I'm hoping to start my build with this case this weekend
I was thinking the same thing, I currently have a lancool 3 stuffed with rgb, Just bought the Fractal north to go minimalistic and get rid of the rgb as Im getting older I want less.
Static white lighting would look decent in the north. Just making the inside components pop a bit. Rainbow looks awful in the north Also, the north is far from being minimalistic. I'd call stuff like what NZXT has minimalistic, or define series cases, but not the north
@@g1g3l it has an other variant where the glass pannel is replaced with full metal mesh to allow the case to breathe. In this variant I dont think it would stand out in e.g an office besides looking a bit more premium.
Great build. Be aware the most correct way to install a 360 AIO is with the tubes at the bottom and not top, as the radiator has a higher point than the CPU. Installed like you have it now will over time make some boble sound. Sine will say but if there is air in the pump part at the CPU it will not get out. That is not true, the pump will move the air to the radiator and it will be trapped at the top of it 👍🙂
@@400080vikkash Yes it does and I have seen this issue the last 20 years in the business. I watched all of this video ;-) The most ignoring part, when the tubes are at the top, is the boble sound from the radiator.
I prefer to install 140mm at the front so that more cool air comes in, AIO installed in push pull at the top and also a 140mm fan at the back. Since I have a 4090, it's more important to me to get a lot of fresh air because the CPU isn't put under much strain when I play at 4k anyway. When I play I never get above 50 degrees and I use maximum settings every time I play.
That's one of a kind man! Nailed it!! I'm planning to do a build with a Kraken 360 AIO in front, but with only a single layer of fans. I'm wondering if there would be enough room for an Asus Strix 3090 inside the case if I fit the 3 fans from the inside onto the radiator panel coming from the outside?
hey this looks amazing. im gonna build a pc very similar to this however instead of the v1 fans im looking at buying the v2 lian li fans (which are around 3mm thicker?) looking at how your gpu fits in there, would a 4080 super fit with its length of 330mm? if not, could i remove the second 3 pack of fans on the inside to make some more room? any wisdom is appreciated :)
So excited to build my second PC in a few days. Already got all the parts (including this case) except the GPU. Didn’t realise you could fit three more fans at the front of the case so now I need to decide which one to buy to add to my 360mm kraken elite cooler 😂
Hey, this is a real long shot, but I don't know where else to turn for help on this. The reddit fractal forum or others were no help, I got no answers. Can you tell me if the video i posted in my profile is normal? it's like there's a gap where the bottom on the TG panel meets the access panel.
Pourquoi lettre un water cooling sur la face avant ? Il expulse l’aire donc les seul ventirades qui aspirent l’air son ceux du plafond nan ? Donc ils aspirent la poussière
I have here 10+y old case. Silent, "you can kick it and not much will happen" sturdy. But time files so it's time to upgrade and why not go with nice Fractal Design North case! What a disappointment!! That case is definition of cheaply made, flimsy, bad case. My GPU is *bending* the perforrated back!! The case should protect the components, and secure them in place, but it's so flimsy, that it bends under them! Next very pleasant thing is, that even high-end fans made this case resonate, so even though no fan is making any by ear noticable noise, the case sounds like humming gong. It's total garbage with wood in front. If you want it, but it from somewhere where you can easily return it "if" you will need to do so.
Such a nice Case and you put a Disco inside.

Yeah. I was thinking about putting the Lian Li controller box next to the PSU. But the position you are showing is way better. Thanks!
Adding rgb in this case is a crime..
TYSM. This helped a lot with my build!
What's the point of getting a minimalistic case just to stuff it with RGB?
Because during the day when it’s off it looks minimalistic and casual but when it’s at night that’s when the PC goes demon time
I was thinking the same thing, I currently have a lancool 3 stuffed with rgb, Just bought the Fractal north to go minimalistic and get rid of the rgb as Im getting older I want less.
I have also a rgb north and it's incredible ❤
But i have to admin that my rbg is white only

This is awesome!
im gonna copy this exact build! i love it😍
Wow, these sleeved PSU cables make absolutely no sense, a complete rats nest next to the PSU 😮

Does not make a difference. Stop watching bits and pieces of Steve's videos and watch the whole thing.

This case only fits a 240mm aio up top
Just got mine love it
So you are pulling hot air from the radiator into the case?
Is that orientation for the aio fine ?
No. The tubes must be at the bottom. Good catch.

i just wish that case was a little bit bigger
please how are the cpu temps with this aio placement?

Haha, the extra 3 fans are unnecessary. I only installed them to show that you can. Good luck with your build!
@@SubdubbinThanks! Build went well, just waiting for the 7800xt to release now 😂
@@Subdubbin but the idea was nice. Why do you think they are unnecessary?
im building a similar build but using a 3090FE with 360 aio for cpu, but no fans on aio on the inside
@@Subdubbin
Question what is that part at 10:47? What does it do exactly?
It’s a fan controller
In general i plan the same. Using a kraken elite.
How long do you think is the maximum length of the graphics card??
How much clearance do you have between the GPU and AIO? Planning a similar build (withou the push-pull setup) with a 4090.
hoses at the top for AIO is a no-no, isn't it?
What gif are you using on the LCD of that kraken? it looks so insane
Please tell us the name or where to find it
I will upload it to imgur and paste the link here!
@@Subdubbin OK! thank you
@@Subdubbin Any update on that?

Is it necessary to go with 6 exhaust fans can i use just 2 fans 2x140mm
Start with the 2x 140mm fans and see what your temps are like. Then maybe get a 120mm exhaust if you need it.
is that push/pull (6x fans in aio) worth it? like does it affect enough for the extra money put into it?
Definitely not worth it! Just wanted to show it could be done!
nice build
Excellent build @subdubbin. I have a quick question. Was all the RGB lighting controlled via the motherboard software or L-connect?
Thx! I controlled the fans through Lian Li software. I used Open RGB for the GPU and RAM.
subdubin killin it again
oh wait there is a PC case on this video ? :D
which cable sleeves are u using?
I'm using the AsiaHorse white cable extensions
Very nice :)
Hey bud! Great build! Question for you, the six fans in the front are intake fans right?
watercooler radiator have to be mounted on top, so bubbles stay on top and don't go back to the pump, avoiding noises.
Why use white cable extensions when your power supply already has white cables.... Just more cable clutter that you have to stuff away.

spend less money on the motherboard and more on the cpu
just lose the music and talk. People are here to learn.
the graphic card the does not match the horizon 16:03.use support
How to ruin a great looking stylish case. Just put in some some RGB rubbish.
