- In this video I will show you how to restore an old oak table that is more then 50 years old.I will begin the restoration of the table by disassembling the table into parts. We carefully separate each part of the table from each other. the main problem of restoration will be a large number of nails.
We'll show you various tricks that you can repeat when restoring old furniture. Happy viewing.

Lovely little table, shame it was finished in such a dark colour, I know you probably have to do what the owners want but I loved the lighter colour.

I think your work is so fun to watch and you do an excellent job. To appeal to a more updated look, the finish would look beautiful with a brown tone or medium walnut stain with a satin or almost flat sealer. Just a little suggestion, not to be critical. That was a rough one - I feel sorry for the old table! Go and have a look at the wonderful restoration work of Thomas Johnson from Maine, US. There you can learn a lot!
