  • So you just got a CR Scan Lizard from Creality and can't figure out how to use it? Don't worry your not alone and we are all trying to figure out the best practices and workflows for the best results. But to help out and get you started I decided to make this CR Scan Lizard User Guide video series, to get you up and running in minimal time.
    This video serves as an introduction to the series and explains what I expect to mostly cover as I work through recording the series. It is currently a work in progress but I hope to get everything done as quick as possible.
    ☕ Buy Me a Coffee ☕
    This all takes a lot of time, energy, and money, so If you want to throw a few bucks and provide monetary support for what I do, you can buy me a coffee at the link below. Just $5 provides a huge boost of confidence (and caffeine) and keeps me going. I am forever grateful. If you don't want to support with money, that's totally fine, and you can always just subscribe to the channel and like the video instead.

    You will make a lot of people extremely happy if you do a tutorial video on the CR Studio software, plus, advice about best distance between turntable and scanner to get a good scan.

      The turntable mode has been a challenge and I seem to prefer handheld but yes I think its an area where a lot of advice is needed.

    Really helpful. I always wonder why the creators don’t check their English version products with native English speakers. Just makes the product experience so frustrating! Anyway, even just the noise clicks for max and pc users would be great. Took me far too long to work out right button click placed the manual marker points. Also that holding shift lets you rotate the model clockwise or anti clockwise only. Also that ‘initial’ is for telling the scanner the initial surface to remove.

      Yeah its so annoying they rely on poor translations which just hurt their products.

    Your first two vids with the scanner and softfare has made it super easy to setup and get my first successful scan within 30mins (egg_cup_test). Left a like to "help you grow"... keep up the good lizard_content coming!

    I would love to see an example of how to import a mesh and use it in CAD. I personally use Fusion, but I would assume the process would be similar. Great work! Subscribed!

      Thanks for the sub. I have been learning Fusion lately and its awesome. Really easy to pickup coming from my experience with solidworks/inventor. I have been looking at workflows of getting mesh into fusion and also meshmixer to see what is best. It seems meshmixer it no longer developed and autodesk are trying to bring those tools into fusion but its not quite there yet. So it might be a combination of using both until fusion fully takes over meshmixer. This will certainly be one of the later videos when I have a good workflow going.

      I have 2 weeks free so I want to try and complete it all within this time. I should have the software install video up today and then start recording the more interesting stuff like actually scanning today and hope to have that up towards end of week.

      @DraftID  Год назад +1

      Connect the power to scanner and make sure its connected to PC via usb. Start the CR studio software and then go to file>import calib. in the window that opens go to the network download tab and then click on import. It should install the calibration file via internet. This should be detailed in the setup video I did later in the series.
