That can work sometimes if there's great comedy to go with it, but it didn't have that either. This is all just my opinion. If you enjoyed it that's awesome.

Probably my favorite music movie is The Social Network. It's not quite as tightly integrated with the action as Baby Driver, but there are many scenes where, even if there is dialogue, the music does all the talking in terms of setting the mood and showing you how the characters feel. Obvious highlights include the FaceSmash sequence of In Motion and A Familiar Taste, the rowing scene with In the Hall of the Mountain King, and of course the club scene. Trent and Atticus' other scores are fantastic for similar reasons, Watchmen and Challengers come to mind, but Social Network is my favorite.
Ah yes Noelle Fielding, i make fun but your spot on Baby Driver and Edgar Wright are the best examples of licensed music in film in some ways just as good as the Hans Zimmer soundtracks Christopher Nolan and Denis Villenuve use

The "Downed dragon" perfectly portraits both Toothless and Hiccups emotions, adds the atmosphere and still gives me goosebumps everytime I hear it to this day!
George Lucas had a different song for each scene in American Graffiti. He would play it over and over as he wrote that particular scene and then used in the sound track. Not as intricate as Baby Driver, but it was well received and arguably his breakout movie.
