Boxes is the way to go, especially if the customer spend that much money.
Boxes work but the mailers are good and she’s a repeat buyer so knows how I send my books.

My shelves are listed with numbers (bookcase 1, shelf 1 therefore noted as 1-1) rather than letters and numbers and the sorting works good and it isnt all over the place like you found. I sold 75 books recently to 1 person and ended up posting in 4 boxes weighing approx 40kg altogether. Wish I had more like that!!

When you get a huge order like that, you should send a 60 day coupon for 15 or 20% off.
Then you get get another big order and help move more old stock.

A very nice tip on posting in boxes, if you leave the box square or rectangle Australia Post will cube it and it will cost you a lot more, what you need to do, either stick a box (empty) onto the outside or un-square the box, make a different shape on one end so It is not a cube ( fold over a side, just a little like a triangle, so they cannot be cubed,) (odd shaped box) the money difference is quite a bit,

a printable pick list would have made thing easier to pull things and then check them off when done. I dont think ebay will create one until after you paid for shipping which has always sounded backwards to me.
A collapsible wagon is your friend. With the big loads.
Yes I have one of those. My aisles are a little narrow. It does fit but sometimes it’s more a hindrance.

I’m super envious. I am very curious about the paranormal and would have gotten the same books. Just on a quest for the truth and why certain things happen to people all around the world. Makes you wonder about life a little more. Anyway, I’ve been a fan for a few years but didn’t know if you sold to the U.S. Probably cheaper to buy here, but someday I still want to purchase at least one. 😺 you are a sweetie. Getting an order for 47 books made a little room on the shelves. Hope you get more cha-chings in the near future.
Be super careful of fraud. If you can afford to ship each item with tracking. They might also try doing a charge back after getting items. Delay shipping as long as possible for potential fraud to surface. Also block the customer for now until everything clears.
This is a repeat buyer, so I think it will be fine. I don't know what type of payments Mel accepts, but if it's like PayPal, she would already have been paid. I imagine any form of payment would be immediate and received before any inventory is sent. Mel has set herself up for success.
All of those packages are tracked it’s one of the benefits of using Australia Post mailers … set price includes tracking

Australia post boxes hold up to 5kg and you would fit more books in them. Im a seller and on band 3 and a large size box cost me about $15 to send. You can get xlarge boxes and would fit more books in.

Ohh MILLS and Boon. I thought it was MEALS and Boon. American. I’m going to say Meals because Mills just sounds wrong. I’m Australian by proxy now 🤗 I was really into Dr Who when it wasn’t dumb and picked up a slight British accent that stuck around for years, it’s gone now. My kids are picking up accents from Bluey and Peppa Pig. They also learned a bit of Korean from Squidgame. I need to watch my kids more 🤔 oh well they’re learning

I’d love to know what is the strangest thing you have found in a book? I once got a free haul of books off marketplace and in a fishing book was a printed out chat log of this guys wife talking to another man online!! And he had notes written on the bottom saying what she had told him she was doing at that time and date when she was actually talking to another man 😬🥴!

That’s standard. They have increases every 6mths. Just got to keep sourcing better items that sell for higher so that the added costs don’t hurt too much. But every 6mths they increase and that will continue.

What's your business model ? In America, you're lucky if you buy a used book for a $1, how are you buying these books and turning a profit? Are these donations/free?
I buy bulk buys, buy from the thrift store, Facebook marketplace, deceased estates and free hauls. I get them anywhere I can!

I love your videos but there is something that I'm definitely missing. For instance, that book "City of girls" is selling on Ebay for max $5 + free shipping. Even if you are finding them at 0.25 cents how is this profitable? Am I missing something?
I don’t sell anything for $5 plus free shipping. In Australia you would lose money doing that.
Maybe theyre buying for a facility or education centre or something.

I need buyers like that in my store. . So do you give them a combine shipping for that as much as you can? I think I bundle it in a number of bundles at your convenience. $900 in sales would definitely help boost up my store and give me a good pay cheque for the week.
In your shoes I would have shipped them out in boxes but at a weight I could carry as well what is allowed.
whats your reason for not doing amazon, cant you get double or triple the $$ for books on amazon and you just ship to their warehouses
