Dakar Desert Rally deserves a spot in the top ten IMO. The experience when you‘re driving the 205 with manual shifter and clutch in simulation mode is really great fun! 🤩 I totally agree on ACC, GT7, WRC, DR2 and Wreckfest, as all of them are great!
Gt7 takes the top spot easily for me, and given its the only one that can be experinced in psvr2 makes it really stand out. Has incrediable car models, and good varity on different cars, and there is good customize options. What it lacks is better ai and single player, but it still far beyond any other racing game available for ps5.

ACC player here, transitioning from wheel to gamepad i will say that ACC is surprisingly very good on gamepad. Obviously a wheel is better but gamepad definetely is highly enjoyable and very solid. Wreckfest is great fun as well and it has very good physics that feel rather realistic.

I got mine 2 days ago. At first I was a little disappointed, but 2 days later I've changed my mind. I don't have a TV or monitor which is 120 HZ, but even on my 65-inch TV it seems sharper, and the RT makes the game appear more realistic. And definitely better in VR. There ARE artefacts in the UI, but they will be patched, for sure. The biggest improvement for me is the clarity of the cars' instruments in VR mode. Just wow.
I have thousands of hours in The Crew 1 & 2 and of course also have played The Crew Motorfest. But I just can’t agree that it’s a good game. For example the Hot Wheels unleashed Games are ten times better in my opinion, but still motorfest always gets ranked higher on such top lists. I honestly can’t understand that. But I‘m happy to see Wreckfest still high on those lists, because for me it is easily the best Racing Game of the PS4 & PS5 Generations (I don’t play Simracers)

Motorfest will always be on the list bc for one main reason... Open world 💯 No other game has an open world map that big on top of them adding another island💯 more races cars and prizes to win💯 if GT7 had open wolrd driving I'd definitely play it a lot more but i honestly felt like o wasted my money because i hardly play it bc its strictly track racing and thats fine and all but i also like to drive in traffic 🤷🏿 cant wait til Carx Street comes out🤷🏿
Been wondering-This might be a weird question: but I’ve played a bit of Need For Speed Remastered and Gran Turismo 7 and I’ve noticed that you can zoom out a bit on your car but camera remains pretty close to the car. Drive club which has been delisted for a long time had more choices to zoom out more. GTA 5 isn’t a car racing game, but I love how you can zoom out all the way and the car is more out in front of you or zoom in if you’d like. Any good car racing games that can really zoom out more fully?
God, I wanna get another good racing wheel and the newest Assetto Corsa Competizione game for my Ps5... I've been out of Sim Racing ever since I had to sell my last Wheel because of needing the space and while needing the money too... it's really something I want to get back into so bad because I was so good it and games like Gran Turismo!
I respectfully disagree about F1'23 being better than '24 - the former was prone to uncontrollable drift-oversteer coming out of slow to medium corners, ruining the ability to push as it was never recoverable - however in '24 it has snap-oversteer instead which is controllable, allowing pushing much more (within reason). That alone is a major game changer.

Ride 5 is just better graphics vs Ride 4. Ride 5 is funding because the salt licenses for the entire game series were removed for some reason Ride 5. Personally, I would put the Ride 4 ps5 version on the list, which has much more driving than Ride 5.
ACC out of the box is unplayable with a joypad, However if you google for the right settings you can play it like it's GT7.... This is a big mistake on the part of the developers as not everyone has the space or cash to have a steering wheel.
I have a ps5 and downloaded ACC thinking I could use the wireless game pad like in GT7... i use right stick for accel/brake and left for steering on gt7... couldnt remap that right stick to use on ACC.. trying to use the controller as its premapped is ridiculous and so un enjoyable ,ive never even used the game.
Gran Turismo 7 could be great based on the fact that when I was that age, Gran Turismo 4 provided me with my favourite ever gaming experience! It can be a bit challenging/frustrating to get the hang of for brand new players, but if he loves cars then it’s worth a go in my opinion! I think great alternatives to consider that are perhaps more forgiving, are Grid Legends and The Crew Motorfest. Grid is more racing/motorsport/story focused, whilst Motorfest is more car culture focused with lots of road cars etc. and open world gaming around the city. @@bekabolton3348 It depends on his interests… when you say „car head“, I assume you mean he‘s primarily into REAL cars, and NOT toy cars like in Super Mario Kart, right? If this is the case, I can fully recommend Gran Turismo 7, Grid Legends (which is often hugely discounted on the PS store; I got it for 5 bucks I think), Wreckfest and F1 23/24. I don‘t play on the gamepad, but from what I hear, you can play those games on the gamepad just fine! Hope that helps!
Wreckfest for sure it has demolition races against the bots or humans and regular racing (gran turismo may be slightly difficult for most 10 year olds as its a real simulation)

@ I would say it’s not exactly perfect for what you’re looking for because racing is the main part of the game and it’s how you get all the cars in the game. The open world is just a sub part of the game if you know what I mean
not for newest fm8 and fh5, playground and turn10 just reusing content and stuffs. GT5 and GT6 probably lose at battle with FM 5 and FM 6, but GT7 respectfully win than FM8 since have attention to detail, consistent, having cars experience and not just a racing game. Sometimes I think yes but for old forza motorsport.... The new fm one is not really exciting, the graphic is great but in just some occasion, sometimes even the graphic looks really down, and the UI and content kind off minimal for me... I've been forza lovers since long time ago so a little disappointed when the devs said "Forza Motorsport (8) built from the ground up" but just reusing older contents...

GT7 not a bad game but it's time they dig a bit deeper to get players and sim racers extra invested into the game but there's no faith in that whatsoever I think Disney Speedstorm should have been at least top 4.
just stick with project cars. open wheels have a traction control to change that entry turn oversteer . all acc or ac does is understeer. each project cars game is a new take with 3 giving fast cars that are slow elsewhere and wrc 5 or 7 is the top rally version

Without decent FOV cockpit view options GT7 is lacking massively for people with sim rigs that don’t have PSVR 2
Agreed re the VR2. Sets it as the standout. It's much closer if you remove the VR, but even without VR I still rank GT7 as the best.

We use Assetto for training for Brands hatch, knockhill etc on PC version alot race driver's use it!

The 120 fps mode on the Pro looks *much better* than the poor graphics you get on the base PS5 mode.

Ride 5 uses Unreal 4 same as Ride4 not Unreal 5. That's why it looks exactly the same as Ride4.
