It's easily Horizon 5 for me, for almost all aspects I care for. NFS hasn't been decent for a very long while and Unbound didn't improve enough to change that. I won't count Motorfest as it isn't released yet. One thing both NFS and Motorfest do have over Horizon though is a city that looks and feels like a city. Horizon hasn't managed that yet and even Guanajuato was a town not a city.
For me it's The Crew Motorfest. Not only because I don't have a choice at the moment (PS4 Pro) but also because The Crew 2 is 5 years old and still fun. And that's what makes The Crew. Now only with beautiful graphics and good physics in Hawaii! ( ̄o ̄)
I believe that the best of them is MotorVest because of its diversity in terms of comprehensiveness of vehicles, high quality and many things, the most important of which is diversity
Motorfest feels like it has much more content compared to the other games, and the development team is very dedicated and proud to show off what they can do now, especially the fact they are showing off so much beta content and even allowing players to try it, and so far the reception is extremely positive.
I do hope they can get this one right. The previous two Crew games were very lacking (putting it politely) but the concept has potential they failed to make the most of with the Crew 2. Word of mouth does seem to be good but I'll need to play it before stumping up full price for it.
@@Elwaves2925 the crew 2 over the last 2 years has become a lot better than it was at launch, all the seasonal content is available and free, you can get the premium items for free for a small grind and your collection of cosmetics and vehicles is transferable to the new crew game
@@FLG_NEO_ Better still doesn't make it good. More content is fairly irrelevant when the base game is flawed. The handling and physics are still terrible, the world is an almost carbon copy of the one in TC1, it's still an empty world, the road signs are still broken, a lot of the textures are worse than TC1. I know this is still true from a fairly recent free weekend. People enjoy TC2, which is great and there's huge appeal to playing with friends but it's not for me. Hopefully Motorfest will be the game that TC2 could have been.
@@Elwaves2925 I agree the ubisoft dropped the ball on some aspects of the crew 2. Is the map reused, yes but you still have more to do on that map than you do in forza. Is the performance customization lacking in depth real world aspects, absolutely but at the end of the day the feel of the game is still pretty good compared to my experiences with forza and nfs in recent years. Forza has basically no progression and nfs is too limited in terms of map and cars
@@FLG_NEO_ Forza Horizon (the last 2 or 3) isn't designed for progression in the usual sense, that's what other racers are for. They give you the toys and the sandbox, then let you go play. It's not for everyone and I fully agree they give players far too much upfront (which needs to change) but I'd still take it over all other racers, just for the handling. The handling being the most important factor in a racing game. NFS hasn't been good for how nany years/decades now? That also suffers these days because of it's poor handling.
Always felt each release of The Crew brings back some of the feeling- and eye candy, that has been omitted from racing games since the days of Midnight Club. Motorfest is no different
Crazy as a kid born in 2001 never thought I would critiquing games with others I remember undercover being my 1st open world racing game. Than being enamored with horizon. Than playing every crew game. Than nfs 2015 being my first true full enjoyable experience. First 100 percent of a racing game.
Moterfest is shameless rip off of Forza Horizon, every difference between the Crew 2 and the Crew moterfest is ripped straight from Forza Horizon 5, it's genuinely a good game but the graphics and the quality of the driving are significantly worse than the game it's obviously trying to be like
One of the best thing about Motorfest is the immersion at night, especially when is raining and with the lightning bolt. Also the real time map is of the best map I've seen in games, especially at night with the lights of the island
Motorfest. Hawaii is a classic location (tdu) and always a great fit for racing. Density and quality is great in motorfest. The crew 2 was bland in a lot of areas with swaths of the map being wide open and boring.
@@LukeNineK adding more cities yes...Arizona, Ohio, Virginia, Texas, Tennessee, Indiana, Massachusetts definitely need some more cities and roads. Creators are so damn cheap with just trees and low quality buildings. Milwaukee is not in the game because they made Lake Michigan too short.
The problem with horizon is that there’s nothing to target when racing anymore. If they had a competitive mode then I’d probably still be playing it. but I log on for about 20 minutes and then get bored again. where for some reason the crew manages to keep playing it for a considerable amount of time.
That's what rivals are for but the only people on the top of those leaderboards are cheaters and exploiters, as playground games doesn't moderate anything actually important
@Jacob-pl1mk I feel you but It gets old I had more fun with the crew 2 by far same thing multiple cars drive around with freinds but I was actually working for something not given everything
I randomly snagged NFS unbound on sale and loved it. played it for multiple days straight and really enjoined the money collecting system and satisfying races. wish it had more cars but loved the arcade style and customization
I just got Heat a few days ago. I haven't been able to put it down. I'm having a LOT of fun with it. I look at these 2 game as Heat being Underground 3 and Unbound being Underground 4. Needless to say, Heat is gonna be my next racing game.
NFS Inbound gets a lot of hate, but I thoroughly enjoyed it. It's also good to hear that they improved the driving in The Crew Motorfest over the past games. I could never get into The Crew 1 & 2 because of the floaty handling. The new one is definitely on my radar and I'm really digging the Hawaii location too. Hopefully they release a demo
FYI, you can customize pro settings of each car. You can change the handling significantly so don't be limited to stock settings. In TC2, I turned down steering because the cars snapped too easily to turn
from a ps5 standpoint motor fest is far more immersive hands down.. they literally use every feature we have in our controller we feel every rock and every turn and every rev man it’s awesome.. i can’t say that for the other consoles cause their controllers lack adaptive triggers
@@zeze3305at some point, yes! When you feel everything through your controller, it makes you experience all the characteristics of the road you're driving i, which makes you have better physics
Tried the demo today, it's in discount on Steam. I was amazed, I used my DS5 via bluetooth and every single feature works, adaptive triggers, rumble, led color, I can even choose to hear some sound with the built-in speaker! This made me wish that other game devs implement this kind of support for the DS5... The driving doesn't feel too arcady, I only have issues with the car wanting to go to drift mode from time to time, but if that doesn't happens, it feels good, and with their year 2 presentation I decided to buy it
As a relative newbie to the genre and after playing all three of these and NFS Heat, I think The Crew Motorfest is by the far the most fun and well made of them all.
i agree i played all 3 noterfest keeps me entertained and the reward value of getting a new car is actually good you dont jus get a lambo as ur second car like forza lol, and there’s so much to do unlike the other games so much to enjoy
@@slammed4six if you played tc2 you get all your car imported (if you chose to) so this point i cannot agree with you, you can easily get a bugatti centodieci as your second car instantly lol. On the other hand i do agree, the game is so much more fun, cruising around the map and looking for all the collectibles is ACTUALLY FUN compared to FH5 ... i've been playing FH5 since release and have a lot of hours on it ... and god i HATE the game now thanks to the devs who fucked us over and over again. If FH6 doesn't bring a godlike map to the table with actual good content they are dead to me. i'm becoming more and more fan of the crew franchise ngl, when you see all the content they brought to Crew 2 it's mindbogling and i hope they do the same with motorfest.
To be honest motorfest took everything the forza community has been asking for and implemented them in their own way, I was mind blown just being able to actually drive a bike lol, I think motorfest “playlists” which I was immersed so much I could tell they put a lot of work to them, they genuinely felt like a bunch of different storylines. Where as in Horzion it felt like I was just being told to race here and go here to race again when motorfest had a whole storylines in the playlists which is cool, personally motorfest I didn’t expect much but it was amazing!
As someone with a good 1k hours on Fh5, Motorfest really doesn't have anything that I would ever ask for in Fh5. Motorfest already looks graphically dated, considering its a late 2023 release. You could already drive bikes, planes etc. in the other Crew games. In my opinion The Crew and FH dont really compare to one another. TC is a full blown arcade racer while FH is simcade-ish leaning. I would enjoy TC2 way more if the handling wasn't as crappy, because I love the huge US map it has, but the handling just throws me out of the driving immersion. Anyway I hope Motorfest is going to do well. Beta this weekend was just average at best for me. 100% not worth a 70€ investment. I might buy it once it's on sale for 30 bucks.
That is because Motorfest has no real competition! Three head devs left eden games TDU developer and formed Ivory Tower so the island for starters which is from the original TDU is such a love letter. TDU is the grandfather of these types of games and the king, not fake arcade forza horizon lol. Making any open world racing game from some of the original creators of the genre was not a challenge for these guy's because it is their baby they invented it. PGG does not even make real forza games they are parody arcade games as stated by the real forza game developers Turn 10!! THERE WAS NO CHALLENGE FOR THESE GUYS JUST WHAT THEY DO. (cars cannot drift-no such thing, this is not fast and fake)
These my feeling to 3 games. Motorfest - [flesh] - it's new experience from the other game. To me, the physics is very new thing that i never played before. It's kind of interesting. what The Crew 2 did. It's refined to more flashy. But, it a bit sad to me that the map is more smaller than previous game. i love drive around the map so much. FH5 - [immersive] - very fun to play. It's way more realistic compare to the other. It's feel like when i want to compete with my friend. I will choose this game. Because we can use brain to calculate very single silder how one car that tune out to be the best that what i need. it very Immersive and feel real competitive. Unbound - [joy] - multiplayer of this game is very enjoy to play. For me, this game make me be myself. The all time strong side of this game always is customization that unbeatable. Every inch on a car that can customize make style very unique. it make me want to join server and play along with other to show my car too. But, downside that very pity to me is horrible physics.
i think i prefer motorfest because of the fact that its arcadey and beacuse of the diversity in vehicles, and also in unbound that miata sounds like a racecar lol
Great review. Looking forward to playing Motorfest. I couldn’t get into Horizon 5 but loved Horizon 4. Wish they had playlists like Motorfest, I just ended up driving the same car all the time in Horizon.
After playing all 3, The Crew Motorfest is definitely the most fun for me. Forza Horizon 5 is, as you said, a very realistic game, and fails to be as entertaining as The Crew Motorfest. Also, the steering wheel support in Motorfest is the best out of the 3 games. You feel permanently connected to the car, whereas in Forza, cars lose grip quite fast, and once that happens, the connection and force feedback are mostly gone.
People are just overhyping it. Sure it's good but IDK why they add boat and planes AGAIN..and they control like shit. Map is detail for god sake instead of low poly mess which was on TC2. And they sure need to fix their filter as those will hurt you eyes as the "playlist" like Japan is way toooooo blue tint and some loses the colour and while other are orange tint. Handle is close to FH but not better in anyway. For all the game is better than new NFS but not FH5. It's the middle ground. People will get bore with it easily.
I'm a huge racing games player and I've almost played every single game from each franchise. Sadly enough i no longer have my racing rig but so far on a controller..Motorfest is checking every box for me, in terms of physics sure FH might feel more satisfying for most people without a doubt but it lacks alot of things as well, the engine sounds are so repetitive but in Motorfest and previous TC titles there has always been constant improvements and different experience. Don't even get me started on that small feature while cruising at low speeds, the character literally opens the window and lays his arm on the window. The variety of the vehicle from Formula cars to motorcycles to planes etc... it's all epic and gives u loads of ideas to explore the map. Ubisoft done a great job with this one.
Motorfest has come a long way, I think right now it definitely supercedes the two. In terms of car sounds, if you look at other cars, its safe to say as of right now Motorfest has some of the best car sounds of any car arcade games(not including realistic car sims).
I get the sense that Motorfest's interpretation of Oahu is gonna be smaller, but measurably more detailed than TDU/TDU2. While it was awesome that the island was basically geographically recreated one to one, you really got the sense that they didn't have enough stuff to generously spread throughout a map that big, and some of the driving was a bit boring or even tedious as a consequence of the way they went about designing it
It's not really one to one. It's about 0.5 times the area of the OG TDU map, Which is in turn, claimed by many, to be 1:1 scale, but is closer to 1:1.75 of the real size. On the real world it could take around 2 hours of driving in a really fast car, to go around the island of Oahu. In TDU, it's about an hour or so. On Motorfest it's about 25 minutes. So you see the scale just from there.
In looks and realistic physics, sure... but it's also the most boring of the 3, you can do races and get cars, that's pretty much it. Motorfest has objectives to go out complete a story line and then beat the boss, then you can progress through levels to get new cars as well as doing the live summit, the forza seasonal thing kinda sucks, you arnt against anyone and they kinda feel like something to get out of the way than really enjoying. Forza feels dead to me. But that's my in depth opinion, it may not be for me but you like forza that's your opinion lol
For me motorfest is by far the best option. 1. It's the newest option so it won't get replaced in the next 2 or 3 years and will likely still get updates after nfs and horizon stop. 2. The car list is massive and the crew has been letting people get the motorpass(battle pass) with the normal currency you get from the in game events which is a big plus. 3. Continuous seasonal content, the seasons that are now in the crew don't go away so you can still play through those stories and events even if the season has ended. 4. The crew has the summit which is a nice way of testing your cars and earning rewards for free from vanities to limited edition cars etc which is really nice
I want a game to have realistic tuning so bad. Imagine cutscenes pulling onto the dyno and sitting in the driver's seat with a laptop next to you and everything plugged in just doing dyno runs and testing different numbers. Of course they could simplify and water it down for ease of use and just to make use car guys/tuners especially fulfilled enough
@thomgizziz I mean a very simplified watered down version of it would be nice. Burble tunes, serious drag tunes, selling those custom tunes for thousands more than any other tune. Sounds nice to me
Finally ubisoft actually got my hopes up and now is caring for us I was in the closed beta and my experience was amazing , it had so much more and in some aspects it's better than horizon 5 and I want ubisoft to do the same thing with their upcoming games like Frontiers of Pandora and AC Mirage and give us closed beta's for these games
For me it's The Crew Motorfest I have no desire to play the other two and even though the cars don't get damaged from dropping from the **** stratosphere LOL I could put up with that!
😃 sweet, I just realized something no reviewer has mentioned, this game is from Ubisoft, and if have Ubisoft Steep and Riders Republic you would know that this is in the same kind of vibe, its a sandbox where u dont have to play, u can just mess around and go around the world, its a beautiful thing, get all three 👍
Im having more fun with unbound than horizon 5 the biggest problem with horizon is that it gives you cars for free there is no joy of getting a fast car the game does not make you work for it thats why it gets boring quick..
You wrong they give you cars to make money buy & sale the cars u have tu tune the engine transmission tire pressure strut lower the car alot more tune my NFS underground ia bettee than the new
Test Drive actually started the idea and Test Drive Unlimited came out a good six years before the first Forza Horizon game. Microsoft may have perfected the formula but they did not invent it. And theres a new Test Drive coming out next year which could be better than any of these. It may make me sound like a fanboy, but in general the FH series has done a better job of making fun racing modes and car collecting than the others. Both Crew games up til now have felt stiff and limited, and the Need For Speed series varies greatly among its 37 titles. You can never be sure if what you are getting will actually make you happy.
I loved NFS unbound for it’s over the top driving open city and cop chases but Horizon and crewfest are head to head in terms of realistic experience but my choice is motorfest with more contents
I think you could also include controller/wheel support in your comparison. I was shocked to see a very poor steering wheel support and button customization in FH5. I even had to put my DD2 into compatibility mode to get it recognized by the game.
The Crew has bikes and planes but I don't like the physics, I think it's too simplistic, I played The Crew 2 for a few hours, I felt like I was wasting my time and uninstalled it, in Forza Horizon 5 I have 500 hours of gameplay in total and I still play every week, I play without assists and even though it's not a simulator it's definitely more complex than The Crew, probably if I had played The Crew first it would be different
The only one that matters here for me is Motorfest, I played Forza on day one on Game Pass and after about 2 months of playing it I'd had enough due to all the problems with it, the last straw was the race editor races not working properly which for me is the endgame, not even sure if I'll play it again as it really did put me off, and I'm not bothered about NFS anymore especially with all the drift physics which I am not a fan of
Haven't played Forza, but I prefer NFS:Unbound over TCM because of the world feel. The traffic, people and police make it much more immersive for me. Also, I thought I'd hate the cheesy carto effects, but I absolutely love them.
I have all 3 and i spend most my time playing unbound. Low the engine swaps and how you have to be clever to get that perfect grade/performance balance.
Assuming The Crew Motorfest's single-player mode isn't online-only, I'm probably going to buy it. I'm a classic Test Drive Unlimited fan and want to return to Oahu even if it's a smaller version of Oahu compared to TDU.
@@angelserrano9049 I know it is online-only on PS5, I'm wondering if it's also the case on PS4? If they were to promise an end-of-live-service offline patch, I might still consider getting it. I've also seen reports that PS5 players might need a Playstation Plus membership just to play the game, which seems ridiculous to me but maybe they're mistaken? I certainly don't have a Playstation Plus membership on PS4 since I'm a single-player only kind of guy.
@@angelserrano9049 online only = hard or even impossible to crack. You have to understand that before saying such nonsense... is it sad ? yes, is it logic from their point of view totally. should we get mad at them for protecting their game from piracy ? you'd have to be a complete moron for that i should also mention that since most of the content is based around multiplayer it is also useless to include a offline mode for the most part, sure if you lose you internet connection mid race it's annoying as hell but that's life, when you get disconnected in a competitive game it's the same shit so ...
its difficult because TC has really good customization but the handling in Forza is way better, Not to mention you cant upgrade how i would like in TC, I want FH6 to be good but with the current trend, Its just gonna be decent. FH6 could be in japan though becuse thats where microsoft is growing the most atm
Motorfest feels so nice I cant´s stop playing free roam... you can test drive almost any vehicle. Ultra-fast sweep between ground- air- water... You are on the beach... then on the street with a slow pace oldie car.. traveling from jungle to volcano... lots of playlists with unique styles... bikes are insane! INFINITE FUN!!! So many positive feelings that you have no time for FPS evaluation... getting into clouds or dynamic weather/time FEELS and LOOKS amazing!!! The MAP is gorgeous! Only 45GB Series S!!!! A real miracle!
Im gonna do a honest review based on my experience during all these years of car games. I played thousands of hours in forza horizon 4 and even more in 5, its the game i played the most, but it doesn't mean is the one i prefer.. thats just beacause im brooke and i play it through game pass. But still it is a cool game, there is nothing special, even graphics for me arent these special, textures arent the best, if you want cool photos you need to photoshop. I quite like racing in it, but not what you expect.. i like the custom tracks that players create, when i can set time laps or in general test my cars to compare them. Races that game gives to us is the most shitted thing i have evere seen in a game.. it really get me nervous, beacause its the same thing from the past games, and its the most boring thing ever, i have to do them when i do festival playlists for getting cars. In general, the filosophy of this game is "copy and paste until it starts to be hated" but it is extremized to the impossible.. it feels in general an old game.. the people who work under this game are absolutely not connected to the community.. the only thing why i played this game was to cruise by myself around the map for hours and hours. Until i then tryed the newest nfs. I played nfs heat, a really cool game, it lacks in the graphical division but still, man the feelings when i was driving my car, the sounds and the shifts were absolutely god, and the customization alwasy made me proud and rewarded. When Unbound came out, i couldnt believe my eyes. The sensations it gives to you and the adrenaline during the storyline, it all circles around you. Every event is enthusiastic, the way you drive, even if its not the most realistic, is really rewarding.. i do have some cars and it took me hours to customize, i LOVE my cars.. playing nfs really gives me a reason to do so. And finally it come the crew. What i can say, i played all 3 games, and i think i spent the most time here, the first the crew was my first experience in car games.. then it came out the crew 2 where i think i played the most.. it was still long time ago and now i cant play it beacause i dont have the digital version for my xbox series s. At the time i had EVERY car on the game ( i almost do have every car even in fh5 except for those that doesn't intrest me like old recycled cars that anyone ever asked for) i always enjoyed playing the crew 2 especially for the mega map, but i want you to remember that at the time i did have only that game. Sounds were horrendous and so the driving, but still for just cruising it was good. I then mooved to fh4 and i quitted the crew 2, i enjoyed more the gameplay and the sounds.. the crew motorfest, i tried the beta thx to a guy who gave me a code, just for a couple of hours, and what can i say.. Its a mix of every game, but in s good way. It seems like everything i wanted is here, sounds cars, customizations, feelings.. i will buy it just for the 360 wheel, it took my heart, the cockpit view is just insane! Hope someon will read all of this :)
I'm a big NFS shill. I love the franchise and I have a Platinum Trophy in almostnevery game except for Undercover. I love how you can just play the game and be done with it in 30-50 hours. You've played through the campaign, you've build your car, tried out some multiplayer and now you can move on to other games and genres. It's very compressed in that sense. I like Forza Horizon but I often feel overwhelmed. Too many cars that are given out left and right. So much that I stopped aprreciatibg them if it's not a forza Edition. I just don't care. And after defeating the mainline Showdown races, there is not much else there for me. It's always the linear grind of unlocking every stage, play enough races to get the showdown missions and than finish the goliath race. There is also no need to upgrade your car, since you can play everything with a Tier A Mitsubishi Lancer and smoke the opponents in every race. FH is an enjoyable game, but I really prefer the more traditional progression of a NFS. As for the Crew Motorfest, I don't have much to say. I only tried out the free trial and played some playlists and although they were fun, I didn't understand what my car is for. Do I need it later on or is it just a way of transport from playlist to playlist? I also have a huge issue with FHs upgrading system. It is steep but it's bad in one very specific way. Namely tying the looks to the performance. So if you have a car you like, but it's not competitive you have to buy parts to upgrade it. Now it can go from B tier to S or X tier, but you can't tell what the cap on the car is and maybe you're not even interested in diving in too much and just want the best build for that car. So you go online and brose for the best rated setup. But it always comes with the bodywork of that build and you can't change it afterwards. So I would always use somebody else's car, and somebody else's paint job instead of having my own car that I tuned and designed myself. It's great to have the ability to get builds and wraps from others, but let me alter them afterwards and maybe prohibit me from reposting it online. Maybe I want a different spoiler or a different diffuser that won't alter the performance of the car too much. It's just annoying.
1. Let's be real NFS are solo games, therefore should not even be on the list. I do get your point about finishing the game and moving on tho but still we should compare what should be compared therefore FH anTC not NFS. 2. yeah you end up not caring about the cars you get in FH like real fast. but here is the thing there are cars like the audi rs6 2020 (or smth) that if you missed it then you are fucked so in that sens if you play and get cars that are given on a weekly basis some of them are really cool and cannot be obtained otherwise which give people something to do. Yes the patern is the same and has been since at least FH3 (never played FH2 so i cannot say) can be seen as boring especially for someone who just want to finish the game and move on. The strong part of games like FH4 and TCM are the fact that you want to roam around with friends or randoms or even by yourself, exploring the city and enjoying the view onboard of your favorite car which doesn't really happen in NFS, you do the story, modify a few car and then move on, forget about the game and never play it again. 3. When reviewing something please make sure you actually played said game outside of demo's thanks. 4. You can just look up a tune on youtube and do it yourself then modify it and post it if you don't like (like me) the way the sharing thing goes in FH5, i don't like it so i don't use it that's simple, i've learned how to tune my cars by watching a guide on youtube and then practiced. That's actually what kept me playing FH5 lol even tho i totlally droped it now.
@@kannonfps Hi, First of all, thanks for your time and the response. I really wanted to escalate on my answer here as well, but in the end it all boils down to one key difference. Despite both games NFS and FH being Arcade Racers, they pretty much have different intents. FH is the equivalent of life service game. Some people like to buy few games but spend hundreds or even thousands of hours with them and FH gives you that, but I'm not that type of Gamer. I'm buying 3-5 games per month, and I just want to finish as many as I can. So stuff that people might enjoy, like logging in every day or on a regualr basis to not miss out on content can be a motivation for some but to me it's a nightmare since it triggers my fomo and I just hate that so much. There are a few games that I play on regular basis, but there is just not enough time to fit in one or two more of these endless games.
@@M1tZk1 oh yeah definitely that's also why i don't think we should compare nfs and the other two. After all the only real thing they have in common is the open world aspect and that's about it, the content is too different (which is not bad) to compare them. Like you said there's a LOT of people like you who don't like games where you have to login and it's totally understandable, i'm personnaly the type to try to get good at one game and then move on, just completing a game isnt enough for me haha. Which is why it's good to have so many games out there in the same categories, for example tryhards racing fan will go on assetto or even iracing and shit, while the more casuals like me who can't afford a wheel and be competitive in these game will try their best in the other games. Also i think you could enjoy TCM, i feel like it's a good middle ground where if you want you can just do the playlist as they are pretty interesting and force you to play with different car and then move on to another game as the rest of the content is multiplayer stuff like the summit and grand race etc. But i'd definitely suggest you to buy it on a discount. i personaly bought it from kinguin and bought an epic game account which was like 28€ or smth for the ultimate edition
@@M1tZk1 considering the base price of the game i would go for it, like i said the playlist alone are long enough but not too long so once you finish them you can just move on or keep playing and then come back from time to time, to me 40€ is the perfect price for this game.
Horizon 5 is a let down compared to Horizon 4. It got way to arcady, everything is so easy and every car feels the same. When H5 released I hoped back to H4 after some time, I notice how big the difference is especially when you are a drifter. If you want to buy a Horizon game than buy horizon 4. Still full lobby’s there with people that think the same way
I bought NFS and The Crew for my Ps5 and have never even played horizon 5 on my series x even though its on game pass. Played alot of horizon 4 though but fancy something different.
I haven't played the newest forza, but I do own NFSU and did spend a good amount of time on the motorfest beta. gotta say what I played of motorfest smokes the crap outta nfs! I set the game on relaxed and the difficulty still feels like it's cranked all the way up. at least motorfest's easy mode actually is. feel like I could've tried bumping up the difficulty when the game asked me to but definitely didn't wanna run into that situation again so just left it as-is. motorfest was so much fun I can hardly wait for the full game release! just so many freaking cars, and I did mess around with the boats and planes a little bit.
I'd go Motorfest > Unbound > Horizon. Forza just ain't it. Downloading someone elses tune and not being able to change visuals sucks, and you change the visuals and apply the parts but its not as fast as it before. Also forza car sounds are the worst. Used to be a forza fan and played fh4 everyday but i'm going between crew2 and unbound now. Unbound is fun to grind cars and do linkups. Crew summits are enjoyable but reward system should be like forza where if you complete all, you get the top rewards. Limiting player count is bad imo in crews case. I hope its changed in motorfest.
In terms of handling Forza Horizon 5 is pure sim unless you count the ability to turn off damage, the physics were massively upgraded for Horizon 5 and handling overall is the most realistic in franchise history, even Force feedback is top notch. Anyone who says Horizon 5 isn't a sim is just fanboying for their preferred online tournament money pit. You can argue Horizon doesn't simulate "professional" racing due to the lack of real race tracks or pitstops, but the handling is at least on par with the most popular PC simulators. Of course once Motorsport 2023 comes out Forza will be one of the top racing simulators.
You lost me at "Forza Horizon 5 is pure sim". FH5 is NO WHERE near "pure sim". The front wheels of a car are responsible for all of the turning and most of the braking. That is why the brakes tend to be bigger on the front tires than the rear tires. You can really only have enough traction to do ONE of these things at a time. It's the reason all FWD & most AWD cars tend to understeer in corners. The fact that you can EASILY brake while turning with ABS OFF and lose litle to no traction in FWD & AWD cars says all you need to know of how much a "pure sim" it is. There is a reason it's called a simcade and not a full blown sim. Now out of all the simcades and even arcade racers out there, it has the best/most fun handling physics IMO. It balances the realistc aspects of driving like suspension setup actually affecting your handling, roll cage affecting body roll, etc. all while allowing you to do arcady things like no worry about tire wear, car damage and allowing you to brake and turn without losing much if any traction, etc.
Buddy... the force feedback is God awful, it feels like the car glides when you turn with a ffb wheel and when you crash you feel a tiny bump, as asseto corsa and other car games you at least feel the road a bit more and can't spin the car on a light turn
@@stankbagel1265 People tear apart the handling for every sim, the one you play the most is always the one that "feels the best". Forza Horizon 5 is on the same level as every other racing sim.
@@JesusWillSaveYou If Forza Horizon 5 isn't a "pure sim" then nothing is. Go watch some professional racing drivers comment on the Virtual Lemans, every racing sim is a joke compared to the real thing.
I can’t speak on Forza. But after putting a ton of hours into both Motorfest and Unbound, the clear and obvious winner is Motorfest. It has a truck load of content compared to NFS. With a better selection of cars and a lot more at that too. More varied races, more variety in the map design. A lot more of a sociable feel with the car meet etc. Motorfest is very clearly a passion project and you can tell they care with each and every update released. Theres even a map expansion coming soon. My main issues with unbound outside of the obvious cartoony gimmicks, was that the game felt very repetitive after around 20 or so hours. It felt like there were only a handful of songs in the game, hearing the same songs over and over again. The single player was fine, nothing remarkable but it did its job. I feel like they wasted all their resources on ASAP Rocky.. Plus if they put the same amount of effort into gameplay variety instead of the in game store then I’m sure this game would be a worthy competitor to the other 2 giants.. The online was very disappointing. The free roam section was just boring. I spent a lot of time doing the featured events as it made everyone use the same car so it felt more competitive. Also on the contrary to Motorfest the updates are lacking. It doesn’t seem like the developers care. With EA being behind this game, it’s not really a surprise though. Other than that though it’s your typical NFS. I think Heat did it way better. Honestly if you want a good racer with a ton of varied and fun content, grab Motorfest. You won’t regret it.
As someone who's played all 3 Horizon is the best, the difference in how driving feels in Horizon make the other 2 feel poor in comparison, also Moterfest is a ripoff of Horizon, it was clear in the marketing they were trying to get people who like or can't play Horizon to buy the game, but I expected the similarities to be surface level but when I played it it was very obvious immediately that they are trying very hard to be Forza Horizon, I don't remember a single difference between the Crew 2 and the Crew Moterfest that wasn't either taken directly from Horizon or meant to be closer to Horizon Don't get me wrong the Crew Moterfest is genuinely really good but there is no doubt whatsoever that they were told to make the game more like Forza Horizon, which is a smart move considering Forza Horizon is a phenomenal series, and a huge amount of gamers can't play it on their console but it isn't something I can really praise them for other than the fact they genuinely did a good job making it feel more like Horizon, but the fact they are so similar just highlights just how good Horizon is in comparison
As for Unbound I barely touched it because I hated every second of it, the Crew Moterfest despite it being a ripoff is a very good game, Need For Speed Unbound is just not a good game
Until a few weeks ago I hadn't played a racing game since the PS3 era because I didn't have the hardware, but I recently bought FH5 and I think it has the perfect blend of realism and arcade that I look for in a racing game. It feels realistic while still retaining the fun and sense of speed of an arcade racer, and I love that there's no nitrous boost. I just wish there was more structure to the game and that they didn't dump like 4-5 decent cars on me right at the start. There's no real feeling of progression for me, it feels more like I've just been dumped straight into the end game. I'd much rather start with a bit of beater and work my way up to something nice. I can live without a cheesy story but I'd like for there to be SOMETHING. Honestly I would like to take these same driving physics and put them in a non-open world racer with tracks and a career mode.
I think nobody can beat Horizon in terms of graphics but Motorfest is a huge leap from Crew 2. Still the graphics on Motorfest are not that mindblowing and it still looks blurry. Still a fun game to play because of the handling of the vehicle and the map. I couldn't get much into unbound because the unrealistic physics and handling of the car but graphics are much better than Crew
Nah bruh Motorfest graphics, reflections on road surfaces cars, better map variety actually real multiple cities and not empty/boring land field-waste land like Fh5 Mexico, story different types of playlists, details and differ types vehicles, sounds are 100% times way better. Hell there's more things to add that players/fans been asking for from Playground games that they don't even have 1. Gas stations 2. Multiple level parking garages 3. Multiple Race Tracks variety 4. N0S 5. Underglow / Vanity 6. Progression 7. Better customization fo sho 8. Music 9. Character are very interesting and entertaining enjoyable. And not cringe unlikely fh5 10. And lastly man the physics are just good this time around both simcade at its finest with a better tuning system
@@treysims7849 As per my comment I have made clear I enjoy all three games and wasn't being rude. Crew copied FH because FH it was/is better! FH2 graphics are better than Crew Motorfest. Forza Horizon on low graphics is what Crew is on high graphics. Car handling still sucks. Arcadey which is the reason I am not a fan of NFS games. Physics still unrealistic. Car dangles around. Drifting is an abomination. Half the things you've mentioned, FH doesn't need it. Map is small but still more dense and detailed than vast empty/dull map of Crew. Graphics 10 times better than Crew. half the people complaining are Playstation players who can't play such a wonderful game 👍
@@yashirobe918 Uhh I don't think you actually know that the people who made (Test drive unlimited former employees of eden games made the crew). Now just to make it clear PG copied TDU/The crew which the majority of people know the truth is.
I played all 3 and can say forza sucks... i buyed cause if graphics. And yes its crazy BUT i stopped plaxing after 10 hours cause they give you EVERY FUCKING HYPER CAR FOR FREE there is 0 grind... its like playing minecraft creativ and cheating you diamonds. You have fun for 5 hours but thsn it sucks
I have played NFS a few times over the years but I just don't enjoy it. I prefer the game where you can actually set lap times like Forza Motorsport, Project Cars and back in the day GT. Horizon when launched was very unique and after Horizon 3 I stopped playing as it was repetitive. I jumped with friends back on to Horizon 5 and was blown away by the graphics and general game play, the game is to me is such a winner and Rivals just keeps us going, even using manual shift now. Waiting in excitement for FM8 next month😊😊
Nfs always had that throwback feeling what sets the difference from the two, and the graphics isn't that bad with a 4k UHD 120Hz tv. But forza by far is the king🤴of them all, but i think all these new games are just trying to keep up.
over all the crew motorfest in my opinion is a million times better then forza horizon 5 and need for speed unbound combined and the games not even released yet except for the demo obviously. just the graphics alone and how emersive everything is and how the cars handle is absolutely divine. on top of that everything is super super easy to access and you don't need to travel anywhere to by a car and customize it since I can do all of that on the go and drive the car right after I buy it. plus I absolutely love the atmosphere of the game and how it makes me feel like a little kid seeing a cool looking car fly by you for the first time and it sets that spark off and turns into a raging fire. it also gives us the option to transfer our cars to get a head start or we can start from scratch which I really really like and I think more games should implement that in to make there players lifes a little better if they wanted. but anyways, I could talk about motorfest all day but I don't want to bore anyone so if anyone reads this thank you for taking the time to read my thoughts on the matter.
I have played all three games, and I would rank them in this order: Motorfest(and TC2), Nfs Unbound, Forza Horizon 5. My overall favorite modern racing game was Forza Horizon 4 tho, as that game was really good.
🟢Which game do you think is best and why? Comment 👇
For me is The crew motorfest because it's on ps4
Nfs unbound not in ps4
Forza horizon not in playstation
That's why i choose motorfest
Horizon for me.

There will be a demo where you can play for 5 hours or something for free and then if you want you can buy it
FYI, you can customize pro settings of each car. You can change the handling significantly so don't be limited to stock settings. In TC2, I turned down steering because the cars snapped too easily to turn
the animation killed it for me
Only real bad thing is lack of certain cars music and some side characters
@themonkster333 you can turn the animations off in options
from a ps5 standpoint motor fest is far more immersive hands down.. they literally use every feature we have in our controller we feel every rock and every turn and every rev man it’s awesome.. i can’t say that for the other consoles cause their controllers lack adaptive triggers
Even on PC with a dualsense plugged in you get adaptive triggers and haptive feedback! It really is well done.

If FH6 doesn't bring a godlike map to the table with actual good content they are dead to me. i'm becoming more and more fan of the crew franchise ngl, when you see all the content they brought to Crew 2 it's mindbogling and i hope they do the same with motorfest.
If you are on Xbox I would recommend taking a look at Midnight Club LA. It is a difficult game but has that charm that Rockstar puts into its games.
@@jahimuddin2306yeah no
To be honest motorfest took everything the forza community has been asking for and implemented them in their own way, I was mind blown just being able to actually drive a bike lol, I think motorfest “playlists” which I was immersed so much I could tell they put a lot of work to them, they genuinely felt like a bunch of different storylines.

If they improve the handling and the cops in nfs unbound it gonna be the best nfs game because those are the two things that killing the game

Great review. Looking forward to playing Motorfest. I couldn’t get into Horizon 5 but loved Horizon 4. Wish they had playlists like Motorfest, I just ended up driving the same car all the time in Horizon.
Sounds like a you problem. But yeah that sounds irrelevant.
You feel permanently connected to the car, whereas in Forza, cars lose grip quite fast, and once that happens, the connection and force feedback are mostly gone.
judging by the comments its looking like the crew is finally on top
They are carrying the racing genre now
People are just overhyping it. I get the sense that Motorfest's interpretation of Oahu is gonna be smaller, but measurably more detailed than TDU/TDU2. While it was awesome that the island was basically geographically recreated one to one, you really got the sense that they didn't have enough stuff to generously spread throughout a map that big, and some of the driving was a bit boring or even tedious as a consequence of the way they went about designing it
They might add other islands
It's not really one to one. It's about 0.5 times the area of the OG TDU map, Which is in turn, claimed by many, to be 1:1 scale, but is closer to 1:1.75 of the real size. On the real world it could take around 2 hours of driving in a really fast car, to go around the island of Oahu. In TDU, it's about an hour or so. On Motorfest it's about 25 minutes.

For me it's The Crew Motorfest I have no desire to play the other two and even though the cars don't get damaged from dropping from the **** stratosphere LOL I could put up with that!
😃 sweet, I just realized something no reviewer has mentioned, this game is from Ubisoft, and if have Ubisoft Steep and Riders Republic you would know that this is in the same kind of vibe, its a sandbox where u dont have to play, u can just mess around and go around the world, its a beautiful thing, get all three 👍
Can’t wait for tomorrow to play the beta I heard there’s gonna 30 players in server that sick, car meet gonna lit 🔥
Yeah man
Im having more fun with unbound than horizon 5 the biggest problem with horizon is that it gives you cars for free there is no joy of getting a fast car the game does not make you work for it thats why it gets boring quick..
You wrong they give you cars to make money buy & sale the cars u have tu tune the engine transmission tire pressure strut lower the car alot more tune my NFS underground ia bettee than the new
@@WANAKO503eswhat the hell are you saying. are you a kid something!?!?
wow Motorfest graphics/shaders on the cars themselves look incredible. Like looks like car paint as opposed to "color" on forza!
With 300+ cars from Motorfes and Horizon and 140 car in NFS and you decided to use a Miata for sounds. Nice 👍
right bro like out of all cars 💀

I'm Excited for Crew Motorfest 🔥
Test Drive actually started the idea and Test Drive Unlimited came out a good six years before the first Forza Horizon game. Microsoft may have perfected the formula but they did not invent it. And theres a new Test Drive coming out next year which could be better than any of these.
It may make me sound like a fanboy, but in general the FH series has done a better job of making fun racing modes and car collecting than the others. Both Crew games up til now have felt stiff and limited, and the Need For Speed series varies greatly among its 37 titles. You can never be sure if what you are getting will actually make you happy.
This is an incredibly well made video, so underrated man
Hugely appreciate that man! A lot of time went into this one...comparisons are always a challenge to make well.
Motorfest. Look at the Details and amazing quality.
lmao idk if its the vid but looks like PS3 game
4:29 im sure he tried not to laugh at the fact that one of the cars was on top of the other😂
I was definitely laughing when I watched it back 🤣
Games should be fun and crew motorfest is fun
6:03 “And 5 feeling like you started World War 5.” I just laughed because that is true for a lot of these chases
I loved NFS unbound for it’s over the top driving open city and cop chases but Horizon and crewfest are head to head in terms of realistic experience but my choice is motorfest with more contents
FH5 - Graphics and realism
TCMF - Sound and intensity
NFSU - Customizations
I think you could also include controller/wheel support in your comparison. I was shocked to see a very poor steering wheel support and button customization in FH5. I even had to put my DD2 into compatibility mode to get it recognized by the game.
Incredibly impartial review 👌
Midnight Club LA easily wins "Mic Drop"🎤
4:26 the black car on the left is getting it on
The Crew has bikes and planes but I don't like the physics, I think it's too simplistic, I played The Crew 2 for a few hours, I felt like I was wasting my time and uninstalled it, in Forza Horizon 5 I have 500 hours of gameplay in total and I still play every week, I play without assists and even though it's not a simulator it's definitely more complex than The Crew, probably if I had played The Crew first it would be different
Yeah, I don't like the cartoon bit on Unbound either. The lighting in Crew Motorfest is spectacular, and sometimes, surreal. Pretty cool.
The best thing is to have all three for they are apples and oranges to compare. They are all great games and I love each of them equally.
NFS Unbound Vol 7 just dropped, so its alive and well
I have all 3 and i spend most my time playing unbound. Low the engine swaps and how you have to be clever to get that perfect grade/performance balance.
I choose motorfest also have plane .bike and boat
Assuming The Crew Motorfest's single-player mode isn't online-only, I'm probably going to buy it. I'm a classic Test Drive Unlimited fan and want to return to Oahu even if it's a smaller version of Oahu compared to TDU.
Sadly it is. Such a disappointment.
You have to understand that before saying such nonsense... is it sad ? yes, is it logic from their point of view totally. should we get mad at them for protecting their game from piracy ? you'd have to be a complete moron for that
i should also mention that since most of the content is based around multiplayer it is also useless to include a offline mode for the most part, sure if you lose you internet connection mid race it's annoying as hell but that's life, when you get disconnected in a competitive game it's the same shit so ...
@@angelserrano9049 I'm really confused why people hate that's it's online only - Why is this?
@@suhulfx well for me it’s because of internet stability and it being removed after some time when it gets older.
its difficult because TC has really good customization but the handling in Forza is way better, Not to mention you cant upgrade how i would like in TC, I want FH6 to be good but with the current trend, Its just gonna be decent. FH6 could be in japan though becuse thats where microsoft is growing the most atm
Unbound hooked me for longer, Motorfeest I appreciate more with the physics and engine sounds
10:26 where did that car go?😮😮😮
Good spot! 😂
True
Yea bro don’t worry I read it fully and what your saying is absolutely correct
@mariselvan7826 thx brother :)
@@kannonfps Hi,
First of all, thanks for your time and the response.
@@kannonfps TCM is on my wishlist. It's 40€ for the ultimate edition on PS5 right now. So... my buy-finger is itching already 😅
Still full lobby’s there with people that think the same way
Completely incorrect
I bought NFS and The Crew for my Ps5 and have never even played horizon 5 on my series x even though its on game pass. Played alot of horizon 4 though but fancy something different.
Crew motorfest❤
I can say without a doubt in my mind unbound is not the correct answer.
i still feel NFS unbound is best
Love motorfest so far, I've been enjoying it alot.
Nfs Unbound is basically nfs heat just with cartoony stuff😂
yes but the handling much better.
It's really not, you clearly havent played it
It’s pathetic.
Unbound its a next gen game
What's the car you're using at 3:06? It's really cool!
It's the Lamborghini Sian! :)
motofest better.....forza in the other hand i get bored real fast
Same
Same here

To me personally, hearing the sounds coming from my phone, NFS (aside from all the popping of flames) sounds the most realistic.
I’m ngl I love motorfest but my huge gripe with the game is not being able to use the cars you own to regularly be driven in playlists
You should've mentioned that The Crew Motorfest is still in beta and not the final product
Ikr when it's on its final update I'm expecting a lot from it
Dude ut ain't gonna change that much.
Playing Forza on PC & the map is astonishing, and FH5 is older than Crew & NFS. Can't imagine what FH6 gonna look like.
Bla, bla, bla
Buddy... the force feedback is God awful, it feels like the car glides when you turn with a ffb wheel and when you crash you feel a tiny bump, as asseto corsa and other car games you at least feel the road a bit more and can't spin the car on a light turn
As someone who's played all 3 Horizon is the best, the difference in how driving feels in Horizon make the other 2 feel poor in comparison, also Moterfest is a ripoff of Horizon, it was clear in the marketing they were trying to get people who like or can't play Horizon to buy the game, but I expected the similarities to be surface level but when I played it it was very obvious immediately that they are trying very hard to be Forza Horizon, I don't remember a single difference between the Crew 2 and the Crew Moterfest that wasn't either taken directly from Horizon or meant to be closer to Horizon
Don't get me wrong the Crew Moterfest is genuinely really good but there is no doubt whatsoever that they were told to make the game more like Forza Horizon, which is a smart move considering Forza Horizon is a phenomenal series, and a huge amount of gamers can't play it on their console but it isn't something I can really praise them for other than the fact they genuinely did a good job making it feel more like Horizon, but the fact they are so similar just highlights just how good Horizon is in comparison
As for Unbound I barely touched it because I hated every second of it, the Crew Moterfest despite it being a ripoff is a very good game, Need For Speed Unbound is just not a good game
Forza all day as it is what a car should feel and handle like.
100% my words!
Hell there's more things to add that players/fans been asking for from Playground games that they don't even have
1. Gas stations
2. Multiple level parking garages
3. Multiple Race Tracks variety
4. N0S
5. Underglow / Vanity
6. Progression
7. Better customization fo sho
8. Music
9. Character are very interesting and entertaining enjoyable. And not cringe unlikely fh5
10. And lastly man the physics are just good this time around both simcade at its finest with a better tuning system
Oh and not to mention a better road layout design to cruise around that really actually leads you to some of best places to host big car meets 😎
So for your knowledge saying the the crew copied Forza horizon doesn't make any sense because if thats so playground games wouldn't be what it is now. Now just to make it clear PG copied TDU/The crew which the majority of people know the truth is.
5:57 you should see the cops in need for speed rivals 😭😭
I played all 3 and can say forza sucks... i buyed cause if graphics. And yes its crazy BUT i stopped plaxing after 10 hours cause they give you EVERY FUCKING HYPER CAR FOR FREE there is 0 grind... its like playing minecraft creativ and cheating you diamonds. You have fun for 5 hours but thsn it sucks
Are you just playing for the grind?
I have played NFS a few times over the years but I just don't enjoy it. I prefer the game where you can actually set lap times like Forza Motorsport, Project Cars and back in the day GT. Horizon when launched was very unique and after Horizon 3 I stopped playing as it was repetitive. I jumped with friends back on to Horizon 5 and was blown away by the graphics and general game play, the game is to me is such a winner and Rivals just keeps us going, even using manual shift now. Waiting in excitement for FM8 next month😊😊
I think motorfest is better. Fh5 got boring so fast
Personally I really like the arcadey boost mechanic unbound has. Its so satisfying to micro drift and tron-turn around the tracks .
Bye bye Motorfest.
Stupid online required games, I will never waste my time with those
bro stuck in 2006 or sum
Nfs always had that throwback feeling what sets the difference from the two, and the graphics isn't that bad with a 4k UHD 120Hz tv. But forza by far is the king🤴of them all, but i think all these new games are just trying to keep up.
Nfs has a better sense of speed and I prefer racing in unbound than fh5.
i really liked NFS heat so im thinking of grabbing unbound as its on sale.
Will you make any new Motorfest videos? Maybe an actual Review now that it is officially released?
They're coming! Starfield first...
over all the crew motorfest in my opinion is a million times better then forza horizon 5 and need for speed unbound combined and the games not even released yet except for the demo obviously. just the graphics alone and how emersive everything is and how the cars handle is absolutely divine. on top of that everything is super super easy to access and you don't need to travel anywhere to by a car and customize it since I can do all of that on the go and drive the car right after I buy it. plus I absolutely love the atmosphere of the game and how it makes me feel like a little kid seeing a cool looking car fly by you for the first time and it sets that spark off and turns into a raging fire. it also gives us the option to transfer our cars to get a head start or we can start from scratch which I really really like and I think more games should implement that in to make there players lifes a little better if they wanted. but anyways, I could talk about motorfest all day but I don't want to bore anyone so if anyone reads this thank you for taking the time to read my thoughts on the matter.
Imagine if Polyphony Digital made their own Forza Horizon style game
Or if Driveclub came back 😢
I have played all three games, and I would rank them in this order:
Motorfest(and TC2), Nfs Unbound, Forza Horizon 5.
My overall favorite modern racing game was Forza Horizon 4 tho, as that game was really good.
