  • This footage captures the last ever public appearance of Hollywood sex therapist Amie Harwick before her murder in February 2020. A subsequent investigation into her death will require police to go back years in time, in the process revealing a spine-chilling truth - that the same night this footage was taken, her killer was just feet from her. And he’d been watching her for almost a decade.

For all the people judging the roommate, I just read a story the other day about a guy beating on his girlfriend in a Walmart parking lot, a good Samaritan saw it and yelled through window for him to leave her alone and dude pulled out a gun and shot him dead. He left behind a wife and 5 kids and the guy that shot him could’ve cared less. Easy to say from the comfort of your computer or phone what someone else should do

Exactly what I’ve been saying. People are so dumb. The guy testified and made his position very clear. Not that he had to explain himself, that’s not why he was on the stand. He was guilty of absolutely nothing, Gareth is. Meanwhile Amie hadn’t installed a home security alarm, had no gun, no guard dog. Nothing.

Something that cannot go without mentioning is, if your stalker wants to talk at any point for any reason… don’t do it. You cannot deescalate crazy. I think the Dr. Figured if she’d just hear him out it would reduce his anger and anxiety but honestly, it reignited his desire. He stalked her for eight years without fail, its clear he wasn’t going to quit. I wish she would have left town went into hiding but its one of those situations that don’t have rules. So very sad

    • @BijinMCMXC
      @BijinMCMXC 7 месяцев назад +27

No, his desire was “reignited” (if it ever even died down) by seeing her with Drew Carey. You’re forgetting that before she even agreed to talk to him, he stalked her to that event and angrily confronted her. Of course she was trying to de-escalate the situation because she knew if she didn’t talk to him, it’d make him angrier and he’d cause an even bigger scene. But unfortunately, talking to him also had the same effect. I think rather than leaving town and going into hiding, she should’ve gotten a gun.

She was put in an impossible situation by both this idiot AND our unhelpful system. The only thing she really objectively could have done differently was arm herself. The situation was already as dangerous as it gets, he was physically much bigger and stronger, her only hope for an equalizer was a weapon. 2A all the way.

Yes, this should be implemented internationally. Not just for the safety of women but for men too. Look at Travis Alexander and Jodi Arias or Valerie Solanas and Andy Warhol. Erotomania and other other conditions that lead to stalking need to be taken more seriously.
My sister was stalked before she even turned 10. The little boy used to wait outside of our house every single morning before school to walk with her. He would get his mum and sisters to suggest that they should date. This went on until they were in their mid to late teens when he mother caught him being f**ked by a dude and he confessed to being a homosexual. After that he started trying to look just like my sister which was weird because he was a very pale complexioned "white" boy with naturally orange hair and orange eyes, and my sister is a light to medium yellow-brown complexioned multiracial "black" girl with red brown eyes. They looked nothing alike.
Recently he told my mother who finds us being harassed funny, (I've been stalked and sexually assaulted myself) that he had seen my sister and I walking around the area, but the thing is, we didn't see him...

In the Holy Bible it says that "There is no rest for the wicked". How you people think that people rest in peace? Where are their souls? How do you know? God's word says that we are not to do many of the things that are known to man today. She was associating with KNOWN prostitutes! The "porn industry" is nothing but wide spread prostitution. This is a SIN! And the Holy Bible says "none are perfect, no not one; for all have sinned and come short of the glory of God." Romans 3:23 and in the next verse "for the wages of sin is death (Hell) but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ." So unless she was a Christian (which she wasn't) she's not where the angels and God are. So no - no rest for the wicked! 🤔

Omg, I have a story to tell about this dude. My best friend dated this guy. They went backpacking around Europe for almost 2 months together and he was AWFUL. She was texting me constantly the entire time. He borrowed a ton of money from her and she didn’t want to ditch him until he paid her back, but she really wanted to go off on her own. We were joking around at one point about crazy ways she could get the money back, and I cringe thinking of even joking about doing things that could have set him off in retrospect. Another time they both got sick, and they were sleeping in a rental car. One of the biggest gripes she had was that he packed all this canned food, like tuna and peas and stuff, and protein bars, and he wouldn’t spend ANY money on food, and she loved to eat out and experience the food in different countries, but he would tag along while SHE ate and sit there with his arms crossed like a child, tapping his foot and sighing, trying to rush her along and basically accusing her of wasting time. So anyway, she was annoyed with the gross food he was eating and preparing in the car and leaving in baggies and just that element of the trip in general to begin with, his attitude surrounding it, and they were sick sleeping in the car, and she had a super sore throat and a terrible, thick, green post-nasal drip. Neither of them could taste or smell anything, and they didn’t have tissues, and she was spitting the nasty mucus she was coughing up in this sandwich baggie with what she THOUGHT was garbage. It was a half-eaten tuna/canned pea sandwich he had made the night before. He woke up sick, crabby, groggy the next morning, and he ate the effing sandwich, you guys. I feel sick just thinking about it. She was basically live-texting the whole trip to me, and just thinking of what could have happened if he would have seen those texts, or if she would have actually DONE any of the dumb stuff we were joking about to try to get him to pay her back. So scary.

I’d love to see any of you brilliant folks show us all how it’s done. Why would she call 911 when he confronted her at the event? The courts didn’t believe her before or do a damn thing to help last time when he physically assaulted her- why would they help when he’s “just” yelling and cursing at her at what’s essentially a work event? Even getting a gun (which I personally would have done, but that’s because I have confidence in my abilities with one) if she wasn’t comfortable with it would have just put the weapon into his hands if she couldn’t bring herself to use it and keep him away fast enough. There was no “right” answer here. In fact, you can do everything right and still wind up just how she did. Anyone thinking they would have done things better or smarter obviously hasn’t lived it.

It SERIOUSLY pisses me off when police do absolutely nothing when a stalker whose shown violent and creepy tendencies just continues to stalk and harass her and they didnt take it seriously. Same thing when parents and friends tell authorities that their kid is missing and its not like them to not get in contact with them and the police say "he or she probably just ran away for whatever reason" and then refuses to file a missing persons report and tells the family they need to wait 48hrs b4 doing so. Basically telling everyone that the police wont come to the rescue, and they dont put themselves in the victims family's shoes and how they would feel if their kids disappeared and noone is willing to do anything to help until its too late. Basically telling us if someone really wants to get to you and harm you, they can and would have more than enough time to break in and harm/kill the victim b4 authorities ever show up....but they try telling us not to take the law into our own hands and be a "vigilante" but when it comes to my life i much rather feel protected armed in my house so if a robber/attacker breaks in i can handle it myself without having to be a sitting duck just wainting to get plucked off. Its a sad world we live in when it comes to crazy people who can function in society like a normal person, can even be intelligent and outwardly personable but hide the side that shows how mental they truly are, one of the biggest issues in our country!

And back then we didn't keep our doors locked so he just walked in.

Absolutely heartbreaking. He stole a beacon of light for so many people, friends, family, who needed lead from the dark and lows by this beautiful being. So tragic that such a unique, genuinely open, inspiring, and kind, caring person, with so much talent has gone from out world. Thankyou Amie for all you did for women ❤

The way the friend reacted to her screams and the fact that all this was going on and her friends did nothing just further illustrates how shallow and selfish people and Hollywood are.

Hollywood is a battleground, there are no "friends". She needed to get some tough bodyguards to be with her 24/7. So many celebs do this, I wonder why she chose not to

@@angelwings7930There's no excuse. I've heard of women going 2x1 with a male attacker with unfavorable outcomes, but at least they didn't die of shame. Going 2x1 with one of the 2 being a man puts odds heavily on the 2. There was no gun. There was a woman crying for help probably before the glass even broke. That shameful waste of space ignored it. Then he tried to blame the cops. Had he taken his chances she might not have died, and even had he been injured or killed, it would have been better than having to live the rest of his life as a known coward. I would say they should charge or fine him but maybe being known for this is punishment enough. Hopefully he will learn something and become better.

I saw the story about this on TV, and they interviewed Drew Carey for it. He truly loved this woman, and considered her the love of his life, even after they broke up, to see the pain in his face when he talked about her murder was so heartbreaking. I hope that he is able to find some peace over this some day.

So many cases I watch where everyone including the one being stalked, their family, their closest friends drastically and unfortunately down playing a stalking situation. Not taking extra safety precautions, not having extra communication and escape plans for multiple scenarios. Never being alone walking home alone, etc.

Sounds like her security system was totally inadequate given the threat she faced. A good one would have alerted the authorities of a potential break-in when the glass to the door was broken by Gareth, with the police being sent by the alarm company.
