Adopt don't Shop!!... you can get ANY of these beautiful fur babies at a rescue!... yes even PUREBRED ones!!... there's a PUREBRED rescue for every breed!! ❤😊
No such thing as pure breds. They are actually inbreds. The gene pool is much smaller & in a local area these dogs are closely related & some allow father daughter & mother son to breed as they don't have to share the monies.
My Chihuahua is the same she hardly barks she' very lovable and kind everyone loves her and looks forward to seeing her. I usually take her everywhere with me including the pharmacy where they give her treats and the grocery store. I've never had any problems putting her in the child seat of the cart in the grocery store until recently the store manager told me it' cross contamination having her in the cart but what about babies pooping in their diaper isn't that considered cross contamination ? Sorry but I disagree I always put a beach towel down first which covers the whole basket. These baskets are out in the rain they are super dirty from peoples hands and parking lot dirt and don't forget about Covid but they are going to say my dog can't be in the cart. I'm not the type of person to argue so I said ok. The next time I went into the store I used a Dollar Store cart from next store as soon as I walked into the food market I could see the managers face he didn't look happy but he never said a word to me. My sister bought me a pull cart this weekend to put her in which will also hold my groceries I hope it will work out. They want the dog on a leash walking on the floor but she' so small I'm afraid someone will roll over her or roll over her tiny paws.
@@Petopia_Dogs she was 8 oz when I got her from a breeder and lived to be 14 and 1/2 years old before she passed away with kidney issues. She fluctuated between two and a half to three pounds all of her life. She was a Westheimer Yorkie very specia. Thank you for asking.
There is no such thing as a tea cup size of ANY breed. A breeder that promotes their pups as tea cups is a lying ratbag with stunted dogs no doubt full of health problems!
I have the sweetest, best behaved, smartest little Pomeranian, and can see why the breed came in #1. I have never had a better little dog in my life. She is my 2nd Pom, the first one was a rescue, and sweet, but I got Bella as a new puppy, and she is so fantastic, I feel blessed to have her in my life.
Nope! Only if you are very lucky. We have been looking for a small shelter puppy for two years. However, if you want a pit bull, retriever, or German Shepherd there are millions available across the country.
I admire your love and patience, and I recommend you to visit chewy’s website for adoptable pets. You could discover something wonderful there.@@carolevans570
We have a 5 pound toy poodle. Angel started out a ginger but at 7 years of age she's now a pretty little strawberry blonde. She is so smart we are always amazed at the things she figures out. You were right about poodles being smart, Angel figures out her new "thinking" toys the first time we introduce a new one to her.
I have had 2 full size Bichons. 1st was 17 when she died, the 2nd was 16. They were wonderful, smart , loving ,best ever dogs. I didn’t want another dog, I thought. 2 years after my last dog my husband surprised me with what I thought was a Bichon puppy. I’ve had her since 5/24. Of course I immediately fell in love. I sat and went through all her paperwork and was shocked to find out she was already 5months old! The papers said she was a French Bichon Frise! Would only grow to 10 lbs! I immediately called the breeder, explained the situation, was informed that she is indeed what the papers say. I took her to the vet who said she was a toy Bichon Frise. She also had only 3 of her shots and a dbl ear infection! Of course I didn’t want to give her back , I felt she hadn’t been taken care of. My husband adores her but was very upset that he got taken. 3000.00 for her and we’re up over 2000.00 for care, meds etc. Has anyone ever heard of a French Bichon at only 10 lbs adult ? I can’t find anything about 1. Please don’t get into rescues. The 2 I had were rescues. I’m not going to bash my 75 yr old husband, who only wanted to make me happy. Help!
The video did not mention that all small dogs, especially the Chihuahua and Yorkie, require regular dental care. These small dogs are prone to dental disease which in turn can cause heart problems. Always make sure to brush your dogs teeth to keep them strong and healthy ❤🐶🦷🪥
Thanks to this experiencer for sharing, this video mainly focuses on basic elements such as body shape, personality, history, etc. More detailed information such as health issues or nutritional needs will be explained in dog breeds 101, so stay tuned.
I have a papillon and they are wonderful little dogs! Puppies need lots of exercise so keep them busy, as they age they mellow out but mine at nearly 15, still enjoys chasing his toys.
We had a shih-tzu years ago. He was so easily spoiled. If I made eye contact with him, across the room, he'd roll over and wait for me to rub his tummy.
I have a Papillon mix and he's been with me for 15 years. He's the night moth version, in other words his ears hang down instead of being up. One thing you didn't mention about Papillon is that they go blind between the ages of 3-8. Mine went blind at eight. As I said he's a mix the other is a Toy Fox Terrier though he looks more like a Papillon. You didn't mention but I know someone who has Pugs and one of the rarest colors is white. She had one but somebody stole it. Don't know if she every got it back or not because I haven't seen her in a long time. All of the dogs you mentioned are adorable but since I've had my Papllion mix I think I love them the most but I wouldn't mind a long haired Chihuahua or a Havanese. Oh well just wishful thinking on that. By the way mine is in my lap right now and he's slept with me since I first got him. Happy trails to you and God bless.
Thank you for sharing; your input is very meaningful. Each dog has its own unique charm, which has piqued my curiosity. I hope to continue seeing your comments in the future, and I wish you and your dog a lifetime of happiness together.
Now being a ChiChi "owner "...I know you know...they own You! 😆 Also people say pitbulls are mean dogs...they are not..but...ever have an old Chihuahua??... here..mine is asleep under the blanket..go ahead...try to pet her 😆...she doesn't like to be woke up unless it's breakfast time lol
I've owned 3 Pomeranian' in my life and none of them were yappy, snippy or did anything wrong all 3 were great dogs. My 1 Pom would bark when the door bell rang but the second you opened the door she stopped barking. She also would bark at the phone ringing but again as soon as you picked up the phone she stopped barking. She was just letting me know someone was at the door or on the phone. I now have a small Chihuahua who' the best little dog my only problem is they love sleeping with you and I can't stand the hair in my bed. If anyone has a solution please let me know.
It sounds like you’ve had some wonderful experiences with your Pomeranians and now with your Chihuahua. It’s great to hear that they’ve been well-behaved and communicative. As for the dog hair issue, here’s a more comprehensive response: Training skills can be complex to detail in text. We’re excited to announce that a video covering this topic is coming soon! Stay tuned for that, and let’s address any pressing issues you have right now To manage dog hair in your bed, consider daily grooming to reduce shedding, use a lint roller or damp sponge to pick up hair, and wash bedding regularly. For your Chihuahua’s comfort, try a designated dog bed or blanket in your room. This way, you maintain closeness without the hair hassle.
@@Petopia_Dogs I try to brush her daily and I do change my sheets every other day which is hard because I'm handicapped. I was at Petco yesterday and they had a small tent I thought about putting on top of my bed in the corner for her to sleep in and it would be much easier to vacuum because it' made out of tent material. What do you think about the expensive shampoo they sell at the vets office for shedding do you recommend it or is it a wast of my money ? I will be looking for your upcoming video. Thank you for replying.
I too love the small breeds. They are beautiful and yet smart. I have wanted a rescue dog however I have been deemed too old now for a rescue dog. I can get a senior dog or a puppy from a breeder. I never thought I would be in this position in my life. I've always had dogs. This breaks my heart with the position the rescues they're taking. 💔

Teacup Yorkie for me. They rarely shed and are hypoallergenic and fit in my purse. Had them all my life.
