    Excellent video, a question, when i film in 4K 60FPS and try to edit the video, the playback/preview is very laggy, so i can´t even edit it, but if i film in only 30FPS it works fine to edit and playback.

    Yesterday - I, made the mistake of re-centering the DJI Mini 3 Pro whilst in flight and it looked rubbish so I ended up having to edit the video by splicing it and putting a transition in!

    @AZGeek520 Год назад +1

    Thanks for the tips. For your first tip on smooth motion I would add a tip to record past your desired scene. What sucks almost as much as jerky camera movements is getting home to realize that you cut the flight segment too short and missed an opportunity for a more dramatic scene. Better to record a bit beyond your scene and not use that extra footage than to be left with wanting more.

    • @TheDroneCreative
      @TheDroneCreative  Год назад +1

      This is actually a fantastic tip. I agree. It also allows you to cut out the best and smoothest part of a clip and still have enough to use in a sequence. Thanks for sharing!

    I’m interested in trying out the sharpness reduction setting for more cinematic footage as mentioned. I’m just curious, does it affect file size of the footage? I just f hire if it’s less sharp it will carry less details. Thanks in advance.

    • @LateBloomerMedia
      @LateBloomerMedia 11 месяцев назад

      From what I just researched, it will carry less detail. I was hoping he would explain more about the sharpness but regardless I still appreciate the tip as I didn't even know that was a thing and now am able to look more into it. Or maybe he has another video that goes more into detail about it. He did say something about having such for the noise reduction feature! Would be cool if he mentioned a link for that! Lol

  • @Celicreativellc
    @Celicreativellc Год назад

    Hey Matt, your videos have been extremely helpful in learning everything there is to know about my Mini Pro 3. Quick question... in a prior video, you stated to keep the sharpness and noise reduction set to the default at zero. In this one, you're saying to reduce the sharpness to -2. Since this is a newer video, is it safe to assume that you now prefer -2 over 0? Also, at the time of filming your last video, Expo tuning was not available for Cine mode. Did you ever make another video on that topic, or can you tell me what I should make those 3 settings? Thanks in advance.

  • @romo8547

    I think that you could improve your videos even further by including some subtle transitions. I always find a hard cut between scenes is a bit jarring. It is much easier on the eye if there is a (very) short transition between scenes. I use a simple fade and stay away from all the gimmicks. A fade of somewhere around .2-.3 seconds works for me. It just makes the result smoother, and smoothnesses is king. Keep up the good work. Your videos are always very watchable, useful, informative and mercifully, devoid of silliness

  • @listenthenspeak

    Super helpful tips, thank you! Especially love seeing you walk through the last one. In my head I know I should get a variety of shots, but it's still a challenge to actually do that when I'm out flying. It's also really helpful to see this tip worked out on a variety of different landscapes...from cliffs in your other videos to a path by the water (much more like my everyday opportunity to film), it helps my brain envision those perspectives and camera movements across different scenarios.

    • @TheDroneCreative
      @TheDroneCreative  Год назад +1

      A little tip I do is to always try to force myself to move the drone and change perspectives each shot, that way I will usually come away with a varied range of clips. Hopefully some of the tips in this video help!

  • @dgibbsfl

    I noticed on this video that you hand launched by pushing the throttle stick up and that left me with a few questions:
    1. How did you start the motors just having one hand holding the RC?
    2. How does this launching technique come into play with RTH landing accuracy later?
    3. If you hand launch, do you automatically hand catch and if so, do you leave the obstacle avoidance on or off for the landing?

    About the sharpness issue: In order to prevent overexposure, the Mini 3 Pro has to shoot at a pretty high shutter speed in daylight (since you can't really adjust the aperture either). To remedy that, getting yourself a decent set of ND Filters is indispensable for that pro look in the end. Also, be aware of what medium you're shooting for! If your footage ends up on online platforms, 24fps might NOT be your best option, opt for 30fps instead. Go and watch any of the drone footage on RUclips that was shoot in 24fps, you'll notice a slight jitter when viewing them

  • @gbh1946
    @gbh1946 9 месяцев назад

    Again very good Matthew thankyou. Do you bother with exposure compensation while shooting in snow? with a normal say DSLR camera, the white snow usually underexposes the scene because the sensor sees bright white and compensates. I normally give it an extra stop of exposure which usually solves the problem. However this may not be a problem shooting video?

    Excellent video again Mattheww. What program do you use to edit your videos? I have Lightroom and PS for stills which I've worked with for many years but l don't have any experience with video editing. Thanks.

    What editing software do you recommend for combining the clips together like you have done in the video?
