*I PASSED MY ROAD TEST HERE YESTERDAY!!! I GOT MY DRIVER'S LICENSE!!! It feels so good to be on the other side of these videos now. To anyone reading this that's nervous about your road test, you got this!* ❤
I see there hasnt been any new comments so I hope this helps someone out there. I just passed my test this week, and Im 32 years old. I waited a long time living in the city and the more I waited the more anxiety I had but now that I live on Long Island by learning with a professional instructor and following everything he said I passed. The test was literally 7 minutes thats it. I did couple of turns parralelled, 3 point turn then headed back, thats it. I would say study stop signs before going if youre not sure what to do. Brush up on that because theres stop signs everywhere. Be ready for all ways stops and some drivers not stopping or going when they should. Always do it by the book no matter what safety first. If I can do it you can too. Don't be discouraged. Let all that anxiety go!! You can do this. The tester and everyone was very professional. They provide clear instructions, you DO NOT get your results right away you have to wait till evening after 6pm on website, next thing you know its over. You can do it!!! God bless
@@Team_urAmeshi *It started similar at the very beginning, but I took a few different turns from the video. I'd recommend practicing at the test site as much as possible*
New comment passing by to help out! Recently went to this location to take my test and was able to pass on first try. Although the route I had to do was much MUCH shorter/easier than this route, the tips in this video were still relevant and useful (i.e stay on the right side because they're 2-way streets, slow down for incoming cars (it can be a little tight), know your regular/all way stops). The instructor I had even gave tips throughout the test (points are not taken away for these tips). Leave the testing start site > turn into a residential street > parallel park (Seems like everyone had to do it very early!) > drive a bit until you have to make a turn at a stop sign > 3 point turn > drive back where you came from > Done. Make sure to stay under the posted speed limit, know when you need to use your turn signals, exaggerate looking at mirrors + blind spots, and most importantly breathe! Seriously take your time, take some deep breaths, and reset yourself when you come to a stop. If your instructor is short with you at the end and leaves promptly, dont assume you failed, they have other cars to get to lol (i know i did). I took my test around 11:30AM and got my results on the same day around 4:30pm despite them saying results are posted by 6pm. Good luck and get some sleep!
Anyone in 2024: YOU GOT THIS!! I just passed and I was super nervous. If I can do it so can you. Just make sure to practice your 3 pt and parallel park!! (:
I've been driving for years. I'm looking at this video to help prepare my friend. I have to say I have never, ever seen so many cars parked facing the wrong direction in my life. If I were a new driver, this would have freaked me out. Just remember the rules and laws you should follow. Don't worry about the rules and laws others might be breaking.
The first street you drive on after Grand Blvd is Blacker St.... that's where I lived until I was 25 years old. Was nice to see the old neighborhood again!
Just took my test. I got a perfect score it was super easy. The test was 5-6 mins, a few left and right turns, 3-point turn and parallel park. Then you were on your way. Good luck!
This is a lot longer and a way more difficult route than what my instructor said. She said 99% after the first stop, you’ll mostly like be asked to go right; after you will have three options to residential neighborhoods. I’ve had bad luck in Hicksville so I’m trying Brentwood, if I fail again at the “easiest” road site I’ll quit. I’m done with feeling shitty and nervous before, during and after the tests. The nerves never leave.

Failed three times in this area over different things. 1st was nerves, 2nd was parallel & recent one was completely different. Second time instructor probably had to be the nicest out of all of them.

Thanks for making this video. You said to put your left signal on at the beginning but then you turn right? Is that correct? I'm confused. Also, should you use your right turn signal at the fork in the road after the first turn? Last question - does this route go through a school district? Thank you all!
