Hey Billy have you experienced any issues with disconnect between drone and transmission and losing visual preview? another issue that seems to be common is it takes a long time for the drone to lock on enough satellites to be able to properly set Home, have you experienced this at all? Cheers!
Had my first lost video error the other week. I thought I lost the drone. Unbeknownst to me, he drone was still connected. I was moving the sticks around and luckily it did not crash into anything. Some time later it just came back. I didn’t hit return to home and the battery was not low. So I don’t know what triggered RTH. I did try restarting the Fly app and that did not help. I unplugged the usb c cable and plugged it back in and restarted again. That did it. I thought it was a cable issue. But after researching I’ve found that it’s a common enough issue. Let’s hope it’s software related and DJI fixes it, along with the satellite lock time.

Does the air 2 S when used with the remote controller has increased range? And how is the image in the screen 1080 without any stutter? I would love to know
The image quality on the RC Pro still blows me away. It is sharp, clear, and bright. Excellent transmission and the ease of use will have you not going back to the regular controller with phone or tablet.
One thing i've noticed is how small the icons are on screen. I would really like an option to adjust their size so the user has multiple options to select from depending on their display size and resolution. They are REALLY small on my OnePlus6 screen! 3 or 5 user select-able sizes would be great.
My aircraft says I have current Firmware Ver: 1.00.0500 I've been trying to update my firmware for a couple weeks now... "You have current firmaware" [??] The aircraft is more than a month operational. What's going on..?
No way points No drone-mapping Its literally just a overly inflated price/market for intro cinematographers who will inevitably want the Cine version. your a bit late on this Billy lol, tried mine M3 out last night and liked most of what was given , shame the smaller camera did not get RAW, it would make that camera so much more usable.
My biggest gripe is the controller that shipped with the Mavic 3. I may be the only one, but I really like my mavic 2 pro controller. Does anyone think a pro model of the Mavic 3 will come anytime soon, or will we not see a major change until the Mavic 4 comes out in 3 years?

Now the real Mavic 3 has arrived, it’s got everything but the kitchen sink in the software now. Thanks to DJI for completing the Firmware updates on the time frame they promised. Great overview of the new features this update brings.
Does the pro res file import take more time or less time to import into final cut than the h.264/5? I don’t notice a big difference in visual quality between regular mavic 3 and cine however if it is much faster to import and render, then it could be worth the price increase in time savings? Anyone have info on this?
Thanks for the screen recording too. This layout looks like Apple "i movie" compared to the adobe "premiere pro" on the Mavic 2 pro. Why would they put such a neutered software on a professional drone like this?

Another good vid ..thanks… 2 quick questions…about download speeds of the cine… the download cable says like 10gbps… I did a test today… it took me 33 minutes to download about 250 gb’s with a regular external,(not sure of specs), 23 minutes to a SSD external drive, and 7 min yes to my M1 max internal drive.. I thought 10 gbps per second meant just that… question 2. Is it correct that when flying in active track no d log or prorez ? I had heard about d log but was surprised also no prorez… ..I guess 3rd question… is that the same for quick shots? Thank you

I wish DJI would have an option not only on the Mavric 3 but Mavric 2 is when you are in the video mode you can press the still camera button down and take stills. This way you can do both with one pass.
Phantom line is dead. Technology has moved on, motors are small/more powerful, camera sensors are smaller and the housing lighter. Mavic has all but replaced it.
Outside of China or some Asian countries it will probably my never see a release due to countries laws on 4g data transmissions, best to look it up mate to confirm, but dji have said they have no plans to release it to countries like the US/UK/EU for the foreseeable future
Thanks as always Billy. Like you, I do make use of the panoramic mode. I’ve just been out testing the new panoramic modes and the latest update certainly delivers much higher resolution stitched jpgs, when compared to the M2P. The M3 360’s are 14000x7000, which is nearly double the size of the M2P, and I could certainly see the quality difference.
@@neilhenderson1766 It actually takes 2 less images, 25 instead of 27. The raw images are not that much bigger, and when I process in PTGui the final image size is only a small % bigger than the M2P. From this I take it that the internal stitching output resolution has been raised by DJI. Surprisingly, I have found that the quality of the stitching in the jpg is not as good as the M2P with it not being able to stitch simple tall buildings, and is very obvious, making the image useless. Hoping that will be improved in a further firmware update!!!
@@brianbracherphotography thats really interesting - i currently shoot in raw and let ptgui do the stitching magic - I get the feeling that upgrading to the mavic 3 really wouldn't make much difference?

Dont mean to nitpick, so I'll just cover the bigger stuff. Your title is missing "New Bugs Created" - things like: * ADS-B no longer works. At all. * Camera controls lock up * Straight Line RTH is buggy as hell. Many have had issues. Check Forums. * Certain sequences close the App on RC Pro and the latest bad news: RC Pro does not, and will not support Quick Transfer. See page 31 of the new User Manual v1.4. IPV6 transfer isn't "a little bit faster" - it's 4.5x the speed of regular wireless transfer Also who agree with me that some updates to Quickshots are in order. This is a replay of the exact same Quickshots, right down to the horrendous music clips as my Air 2. As Billy says they go vack to 2018... THATS 4 YEARS! Same Panoramas. Not that they are bad, but a bit dated. After all the waiting, some updates or additions would have been nice. Kind of anticlimactic, these are. And Mini 2 gives you EXACTLY the same distances as the "high end drones" - it just doesn't include Asteroid. But Air 2 does- same exact distances. They aren't bad. Just old. Air 2S added Mastershots. Mavic 3 added... nothing, except a very long wait. The camera and filming improvements are good 👍 Oh... has ANYBODY gotten a usable screen recording off the RC Pro? They deleted the mic, and the 10+ mics I've tried up to a $300 lavalier mic sound like shit. Unusable audio.
Trying to get the word out to fellow aerial mappers that I heard directly from DJI rep on the M3 team that waypoint missions won’t be possible, their mobile SDK will not be released for it and GSPro won’t support it. This means zero chance of it being used for aerial mapping any time soon. Tried to explain to them the huge market share of professionals they will miss out on… deaf ears. We were planning to replace our whole fleet of P4Pros with these… returning ours now.
I must say I'm amused by everyone rushing out buying M3 at release. The only reason DJI released it half baked, was to get their 4th quarter quota up, knowing there are people out there that will just go buy it regardless of issues. Of course as time goes by they would implement and honor the upgrades expected. Drones like all technology is a mistake to buy on initial release. The point is, if you have a device that serves you currently, then why are you upgrading? With all the firmware/App upgrades to Rc pro and M3 in the past 2 days, the Rc pro i got bundled with My Air2s, now works with M3. In time i will purchase a M3, but at that time it will be firmware feature ready and will work with my RC pro which bundled with Air2S cost only 400 bucks on sales. Food for thought.

Waypoints (SDK) were recently added to the 'professional' Mini 2 and Air 2S. I guess this cheap M3 drone will have this feature next year.

The Mavic 3 Cine, when shooting ProRes, didn’t get any of the focus tracking updates. A real disappointment.

Anything after x7 is using a TON of noise-correction and sharpening.

Firmware update so far has little real improvement in the areas that matter. It's still a flying pig.
