    Excellent look at the car - thanks. I've ordered an X1 in the UK with the 48v mild hybrid, mocha seats and eucalyptus wood trim

    Great review. You did your homework. This might be what I'm looking for, but I hear DCTs are very rough and jerky at low speeds in the city. Great job!

      Thank you for the positive feedback! Much appreciated. We found the DCT to be quite smooth. It can occasionally give a small jolt if it gets confused, but it's rare and very mild when it does happen.

    Can the rear seats slide? I've seen reviews of European versions and it looks like they can slide forward up to 6” to gain more space in the cargo area. I'm not sure if the US version includes this feature. Great review!

      I've just bought a new X1 xline in the UK and the sliding rear seat is an option extra. So certainly it is available in UK but as far as I know isn't standard on any model.

    After I have stopped the car, is there a P button that I can push it in to make sure the car is in complete stop ?
    Also, if I remotely start the engine, do I need to press the start button again to start the car, then press down to release the emergency brake and drive away ?

    • @bmwofmorristown9038
      @bmwofmorristown9038  Год назад

      Yes to both questions. There is a P button and you do have to press the start button again after remote starting. Putting it in gear and lightly pressing the gas will automatically disable the parking brake.

    Turbo lag and the standard sound system are the only major cons for me.

    • @bmwofmorristown9038
      @bmwofmorristown9038  Год назад

      Turbo lag is really well mitigated with modern turbo tech. Only the most discerning driver's will notice the extremely minimal lag. The base sound system is quite improved over last gen, but H/K is the way to go for audiophiles!

      @@bmwofmorristown9038 On my test drive the volume had to be turned half way up just to hear it. The turbo lag might just be when you floor it from a standstill.

    The interior of the new BMW x1 is bigger than the X3 F28? Really? Or did you mean the F48 of the outgoing X1?

      F25, X3 the model from 2010-2016. And yes, that is true! Front and rear headroom and legroom is more plentiful in the new X1 than in the F25 X3!

    Why a dual clutch? That screen is ridiculous. You have to completely take your eyes off the road just to change the temperature!! I’m disappointed

    • @bmwofmorristown9038
      @bmwofmorristown9038  Год назад

      Dual clutch just worked with the powertrain better and packaging wise. The screen is MUCH easier to use than it looks, and gets easier the more you live with the car. Give it a chance before writing it off.

      The interior is our favorite part! We totally get the hesitance with the lack of hard keys for important controls, but it becomes rather easy to use once getting used to it.

    How reliable is X1???

    • @bmwofmorristown9038
      @bmwofmorristown9038  Год назад

      Very! Any new BMW (or to be honest, the vast majority of any new cars) will be reliable, but the 2.0L turbo 4 in the X1 has proven to be tried and true in both the X1 and plenty of other models.

    Problem is you’d have to be blind to buy a new BMW (Beaver Motor Works) which means you can’t drive it. Like how did BMW go from making the highest quality, best designed most desirable driver focused cars to the shite they are turning out now?

    • @bmwofmorristown9038
