I remember the first time I played this mission, I saw the old lady with a gun when using the mirror on the corner of the house. She died after I threw a flashbang, I guess from a heart attack... but you had to shoot her in that situation anyway because when you slice pie around the corner, she tries to shoot your partner as he's trying to talk her into putting the gun down.
I wish I played this when I was young, this is amazing. Games with this amount of detail are so damn rare it makes me want to pull my hair out.
And this shit was on a disc with 4mb :D
And things was way funnier in the past like Z, with general zod 😂
I think at the time the fmv thing was probably amazing but the game itself I didn't find very fun to play.
Can we just agree Sierra was an amazing game dev or publisher. (Not sure which)

I was addicted to their pinball games. Especially the Dinosaur Island one.

I'd love to see more. You don't need to put the gun away to move if you use slice the pie commands instead of arrows. As for the radio, you need to tell the floor too. So ground is level 1 and the left side of the house there is side 2. This wasn't an easy game by any means but it's really cool. I remember doing the first sniper call and calculating desperately as the wind changed twice while waiting for orders to shoot.

Oh shit!!! I remember this!!! This is back when PC games would come with Grapes of Wrath sized manuals filled with real life distance charts, wind velocity graphs, CQB theory, and equipment stats that were related to the game's topic... but were absolutely useless in game.
OMG I still remember the first mission... my first run I used a breaching shotgun on the front door and ended up shooting the crazy old lady on the other side of the door, lol.

I remember skipping briefings in this game and getting yelled at, funny as hell but it was pretty new
I really have to admit, for a time when they needed to produce something that "felt" realistic but the technology wasn't there yet; this was a brilliant way to present a game. Same tactic they used on the Panasonic 3D0...

@@Tr4wnet Lookup UPS hostage killed by police, don't think RUclips likes links in comments. It happened last December and the police shot the hostage during the shootout as he tried to crawl out of the vehicle. Another bystander was shot and killed in their vehicle as well.
Yeah that was a wild and grossly mishandled situation.

No seriously, I think you need to scoll the bottom bar again to get that option. You'll be getting a lot more movement options if I recall. Haven't played that game in well.. 20 years?
Also, the radio was super finnicky. You needed to select the exact option the game wanted for it to work.

I started on SWAT 3 and just beat swat 1 and 2 recently. 2 is so much better than 1.

Oh man, I totally forgot about this game... I remember playing at least the demo if not the whole game... Its been a LONG time.
I had this game back in the day until my PC ate the disk. I was playing it when I heard a strange noise come from the disk drive and the disk tray lurched out of the case and pieces of the disk went flying. Needless to say, had to buy a whole new disk drive and new cd for the game.

I think the missions are random each time you play them I remember the crazy old grandma with a gun mission where you can finish it in one screen. Some walkthroughs have people clearing the entire house before finding her. Yeah you do have to watch a tutorial and read the manual to play this game.
