    How to make Peltier Air Conditioner with a Indoor and Outdoor Unit at Home || Without Using Ice 2019
    In this video i will show you how to make a air conditioner (Using peltier module 12715 or thermoelectric module) at home without using ice for cooling, this model can be used as school project as well as college projects to show the effect of cooling and heating sides of thermoelectric material. in this model there are 2 units one is indoor for cooling and the other is outdoor which rejects the heat generated by the air conditioner outside.

    12 v AC fan will suck the air from hot side heatsink. May be you connect the the thermometer sensor right on cool heatsink. So thermometer showing the temprature of cool heatsink only not the air temprature.

    Very good idea, but it would be inefficient as the peltier generates more heat that it removes, and it uses the air in the room that you just cooled to push outside. Maybe make a two way hose so that it pulls in air from outside and pushes it back outside?

      As with all split units, most of the electronics, and "Hot side" are actually outside (For obvious reasons). This video seems like a good idea, however, he is still dissipating heat indoors as you rightfully mentioned.
      In an ideal situation, the housing with the peltier and heat sinks should be on the outside of the house with only a fan, controller, and radiator on the inside of the house, (With radiator hoses going from the peltier to the inside radiator) this way, there is virtually zero heat transfer on the cooling side (A slight bit of cooling loss, but if insulated properly, also a bare minimum).
      My currently "Awaiting" project has 2 x water cooled radiators (Looking at the Triple Fan Radiator), 2 x water pumps, 2 x dual water block (1 for the hot side and 1 for the cold side), 2 x peltier modules and 6 x fans with hoses running from the "Main" unit located outside of the house (In a case with plenty ventilation) to the unit inside that only consists of a radiator, 3 x fans, control circuit (Switch, thermo, thermo regulator), display, and case for the aforementioned parts. (Still waiting on parts, as the Triple Fan Radiator are anything but cheap here,)
      I also plan to use this completely off grid, so this would mean getting 4 x 320W solar panels, 2 x 150AH batteries, and MPPT controller, however, these are horrendously expensive in my country, so that will have to wait for a while.
      But anyway, as you mentioned, this is Far from ideal as the entire unit he built is indoors. 🤷🤷🤷

    you need the censor on the cooling outlet, not inside the box, for a true temperature. Also unless the hot are is vented out of the actual room you only get cooling directly in front of the cooling outlet. those are 6 amp peltiers running 12 volt so I guess you are using 72 watts of power. how efficient is your mains to 12volt converter, I think you will be pulling than 72 watts at the wall socket. A very interesting project, thank you.

    • @27dhan
      @27dhan 4 года назад

      exactly my thought. that setup will only measure the inside temp of the box, not the actual temp of the room. its like putting an ice on a chiller box then placing it in the room and measure the inside temp then call it an ice air conditioner, of course the temp will go down but the question of "does it lower the room temp significantly or atleast noticeably" wont be answered.

      the point is you would have it hanging out a window obviously he's at a work bench and isn't right next to a window also a bigger tube would decrease air pressure its a 12v computer fan it isn't going to be able to keep up with a large hose unless you mounted a 5000rpm server fan in it

    Doesn't it just warm up then suck the previously cooled air outside thus pulling warm air in from outside?

  • @davidwilliam713
    @davidwilliam713 Год назад

    Still the cold air in the room will be sucked out by the fan at the back to be sent out of the room through the outdoor pipe. The most best and effective is by using water block to cool the heat side. The hot water is sent out of the room where you can use radiator + small water pump at the outdoor to cool the water. That the most effective way to make the peltier to cool the room. I use it with 5 peltiers and a big water tank at outside. It can make my room 3x4m at 20 celcius degree.

      It's not amperes you're looking for, it's WATTS. 10 amps x 12V = 120 watts. That is a LOT of input power, for very little output power ("lots of cold to cool a room"). Peltier devices are very inefficient which is why they are not used for air conditioning applications.
