thank you for releasing this. i have been watching marty friedman content for years and years and i have never seen this. i really wish i could see more of him in his prime
Still don't know how Marty is rarely included in the "best of all time" list but he sure as FUCK belongs there. Criminally underrated - and no I don't care about Megadeth fans knowing I'm talking global music scope which is infinitely bigger than Megadeth.
If you mean that rolling stones list then yea, that list was BS. Having Kirk Hammet with Hetfield on spot 22 and other no name guitarists there but no Friedman.. He is underrated, he is memorable and his style is very unique for sure.
You’re welcome, it’s more than rare lol I filmed it myself and found it in a box while digitizing old VHS during the pandemic. I’m glad folks are enjoying it
Wow, this takes me back. I spent a year in LA at MI Sep 90 - Sep 91, and was five minutes too late to make it in to Boardner's to see them as Jake and the Rattleheads. Where was this clinic? Thank yo SO MUCH for sharing this!
i was at MI the summer of 92. This was outside of a guitar store somewhere along the i5 they had a lot of technical problems on the Arsenio Hall show trying to set up. Everyone else there was expecting Kris Kros or something; me & my girlfriend were the only ones getting loud for them; on the playback on TV it sounds like there's an audience cheering but it wasn't like that in the room haha So on the commercial break Dave came over to us to thank us. After the show we went around to the parking lot and found them and hung for a little bit and took some pictures with a funny little spy camera I'd snuck in to the show and Dave said "is that a camera? you could hide that right up your ass!"
Ive always thought marty should do a album with Yngwie malmsteen... both have stellar vibrato and intonation, i think they would complement each others unique style to form a badaSS album!
Invaluable stuff, thanks so much for uploading it! Seeing clinics of Marty really helps learning these solos and playing in his style, especially when the footage is pretty damn good for 1992. Also, lucky me for finding your channel through a comment you made on a review of the dpa 4099 microphone, ha!
My No.1 guitar player Marty you will never see like him he's very unique
Marty’s vibrato and pick attack are so tight.
The way he holds the pick and his wrist movements are totally crazy!
I love how when his hair touches the fretboard magically his playing gets better.
Loved it 👍
Yeah, and from 3:29 through 4.13 was great.
It’s part of being a virtuoso
An extremely rare live version of a piece from Scenes! That’s incredible!
Some of the coolest raw Marty footage I've ever seen. He was so in the zone during this time period.
he is really giving me the goosebumps. the world needed marty friedman, without him i would never hung to megadeth (specially rust in peace)
I love this song from Scenes his best work
Totally agree
Thank you so much for this upload!

Valley of Eternity in the begining. Scene's is amazing
Agreed its my favorite album and Valley of Eternity is my favorite song
It sounds like a film soundtrack. Beautiful
I saw Marty with Megadeth in the 90's. Just an incredible guitar player. I'm also familiar with his solo stuff and Cacophony as well.
thank you for releasing this. i have been watching marty friedman content for years and years and i have never seen this. i really wish i could see more of him in his prime

Marty has magic in his hands. No one else can play like him.
tiempos en que el esfuerzo era bien visto!
...aarrgghhh!!!....my wrist...the way use the pick.😮
Marty & Gilbert two of my OLD ALL time favs guitarists 🎸🎸🤘🤘😍😍..

He must be the best guitarist in the little people group.
Thanks for the upload!
Gracias Marty, gracias....
Thanks for uploading, class!
Thank you!
I was there ...a guitar center parking lot. He would not sign my Jason Becker guitar...he said I just can't .
That’s wild. I don’t know what their relationship was post cacophony. Do you spot yourself in the video?
@@jaikwillis he thought highly of Jason.
Pure magic.
So much style
Guitars used to wail. Now they sound way too smooth and forgiving
Marty Friedman king 👑

if marty had a watch on his right hand it was seem like he always check the time

For the people who don't know Nick Menza plays on that track as well.

Hey, can I do some remaster work on this?
Zacks good but he don't smoke randy rhoads zach is very influenced in the petatonic style while randy has a wide range of styles in his arsenal
you named two different people in this comment, are you actually talking about “zakk wylde” or two other guys
Is this the entire clinic??
What was marty´s answer at that question? 14:22
Back when Jackson guitars weren't complete garbage
Original
Friedman's stuff with Megadeth is legend, whereas I didn't connect with his solo stuff at all.
That is why he could not play with Megadeth more than 10 years. His way of expression is too wide.
How old is your iPhone
That's in 1992 🙂
Zack NEVER smoked Randy. Let's make that CLEAR. This dude talkin shit.
Megadeth without him just be a trash metal band.
he was a star back then :D
This Marty kid is going to be famous someday! He has some chops!
Pues será muy Marty Friedman pero está desafinando con todo respeto!
