The french don't need bots. They have a history of streamers collaborating together for big charity events and they got good at it. Last year edition of the Z Event reunited 52 streamers to win over 10 million € for charity in 3 days. When hearing french streamers were falsely accused of using bots, a few of them including ZeratoR, the creator of said Z Event, turned on their stream to help through coordinated attack/defense strategies. You were raided by that guy.
France use bots, and it could be demonstrated when Reddit put the color white in the color palette and automatically the mural of France became completely white, made by the same French bots that filled each pixel. It's pathetic that they cheat even in this... Anyway... French
It was honestly hilarious when everyone was filling out those last three corners and Wubby was playing different theme music in sync with each coordination.
They also allied all streamers' viewers into one giant group, instead of let each streamer manage independantly their communities, and this is why they were so coordinated and acted "like bots". -- The next part of the comment is for trying to debunk the main accusations they've been afforded against them. For the bot story, if you watch multiple moments of the Kameto's stream, who was the commandement chief during the war, you can see how organized was the french defense during the attacks and how much reactive they are. Their defense method is a rotative method using users birth season to create 4 groups and make a cycle for placement cooldowns to being ready when the cycle looped for creating a repeated and continuous defense. Yep, only one man managed the whole french community. The others were behind just for make keeping the motivation at maximum (and sometimes suggest some ideas to their chief). Next for the "script", here again if you watched at least one of the french streamers who were live at this moment, you can clearly see that this was just an overlay, like in this video for making the arts. The only confirmed act of botting in this war was from the Spaniards themselves, they used auto-placers to continuously place the BTS logo (clips exist showing this) as the french defended against the attack using their season-based rotative defense method repeatedly. Another point: recent accounts. Since Reddit isn't a popular social network in France (it is even pretty unknown there), so a large part of the French who participated in this war had to create an account, and for the majority they did it with the "Connect via Google" button, validated their account and went to defend the flag, without changing the default name given by Reddit. -- But all of this the Spanish and Americans don't want to understand and admid the fact that how much the French community have this unique ability to make massive alliance to defending their territory. They raised up a bit more than €10,000,000 at the latest Zevent, in October 2021, so if this was not another proof of this alliance ability, I really wants to know where they were went to print the money they've donated to the charity. -- Thanks for reading (lol I know, I commonly make this kind of "pavés"* for explaining things (especially for defending my positions on what I like or not but it's OK)). * Pavés = block of text
We also gave ikoi place around the end, on bot right of the top right 'quarter', after puting 2 taunts on him (a penis with ratio, then a baby crying), we left the place 'free *french flag*' You can see it in the timelapse, right before the end and small comunities were able to take the place. As long as it was not our attackers, we were happy !
The funniest thing to French people was everyone thinking we used bot when we were just among the firsts to use the script and using waves of tile placement to maximize efficiency, at least at our scale. Also we are autistic and paid not to work
@@FinalRedemption Nobody in the french streamers asked for it. It was only the Spanish streamers who got a script originally made by Forsen's community which only helped to automatically place pixels. No new mass accounts maker or anything. It didn't even matter since it was at the end of the canvas.
@@FinalRedemption Yup, that was r/france's bot, used to maintain their art overnight as did most of the redditor national flags. The big flag wasn't from redditors though, it was very much the work of the streaming community. If you look at the bot's data you'll see it doesn't touch the big flag, only the three "old world" flags (small tour Eiffel, Asterix, and the Ariane V flags).

Yeah people did not realize that french cared, so the community involved was WAY higher than other countries. Also since people attacked us it created a reaction of defense.
You guys fought hard for sure, deserved a big spot in place history. Definitely had some bots there too though, the amount of brand new accounts with no history placing pixels in the french flag and covering up the wubby7 is proof enough of that. I don't want to diminish your community's effort, because the human factor was also out in force.
@@GuerrillaMaster Well you know that french community on reddit at 2020 was only 1% ? and when you bring more than 700k french viewers they gonna create a LOT of account with no background (which is why there was a lot of random username , that when you create your account u get a random one) But u might be right there might be bot like every other community but it wouldn't be 1% of the pixels imo
@GuerrillaMaster Reddit isn't used by the french twitch community. We usually use Twitter, Discord or RUclips to chat with each other but not reddit. So a lot of people created their account for the occasion, connected with google so it auto-generated a random account name. We have so many proof that it wasn't bot: - The only thing we got was the same script that Wubby used that shows which pixel goes where. It's totally open source and multiple post on r/place show the difference between our script and the one used by spanish for example. - If we were botting, the little amongi around the Arc de Triomphe would have disappear in a second, which wasn't the case - We were in general 300k viewers and almost 700k at the end of the event. Our place take "only" 125k pixels and you were focussing a little part of it, so it was easy for us to defend it and doing some little raid at the same time. The only moment we struggled was during the night for us when we were 50k against xQc huge community and when Spain started to use real bots (their script was connected to an external server and was automatically placing the pixel at the right place) We showed multiple time that we deserved this place Maybe some guys used bots, I actually don't know, but it was definitly not pushed by streamers on their live. We are "trained" for this kind of event. I know it's difficult for other countries to understand it, but it's very specific to the french community to see so many people work together on internet. In France, there is every year a huge carritative event called Zevent with over 50 streamers and their communities to get money for charity. And the special thing is that every streamers put some pledge that would be done by the streamer only if a certain amount of money is reach. So at the end of the event, big communities raid other smaller communities to help them to reach their subgoals. In a certain way, it was the same thing for the r/place, we knew how to work together. The streamer call an area and tell us what to do and we just do it. They were counting the time and separate the viewers in 4 "armies", spring, summer, fall and winter. Your birthday define on which army you are. Yes, we really strong to do stupid things on internet, the r/place was so much fun for us

lets be honest nobody really cares if there were bots or how many or whatever, there were probably bots all over this canvas there's no real way to know for sure the main issue was just that you took up more space than germany and used it less effectively and then got confused when everyone didn't like it
@@abirneji "Nobody really cares", hence the title of the video. Reddit has released the full data for the canvas, so ways to know are starting to come. About the size of the space and it's use, it's a matter of personal feeling, have nothing to say about that, maybe, maybe not, depends on your perspective.
@@abirneji About the size, I reckon that it was huge but the french streamers with their communities wanted to build way more cool art on the flag to just have fun with the r/place while representing the country. Guys i'll try to clarify some things. We didn't used bots. Spanish people set fire to Notre Dame, people from others communities have continued to disrespect and insult us. I know people don’t like French for some reasons I don’t understand.. they say, among other things, that we easily surrender, refer to the Second World War. The french twitch community is very cohesive and organized and french people felt badly attacked in their honor this is why a lot of people joined the /r place to defend the flag. If someone used bot its not us, but you can still check the heatmap timelaps but before you have to know something. At the end kameto called to the community to stop the focus on BTS logo because we suspected spanish to use bots on it (after ~4 rotation of defense from us) and as you can see if you check the heatmap timelaps the hottest area was perfectly in line with the BTS logo and the first thing who desapear when you could only place white was this logo while the call was to absolutely not focus on it...
Nahh, there is another argument, and you already said it: "badly attacked in their honor", the fact that it was a really big chunk of the canvas was the issue here, and french people tend to be a little egocentric in my POV, I prefer the first flag really, it had the wine changing overtime. This time, I think that Ukrania was the only one that reserved a big space for obviously reasons. Also, in Latam we also have sometimes issues with spanish streamers, they tend to be a little exagerated when things turn bad for them. French´s ego and honor can easily compete with Argentina c:
@@pax1217 In the video I linked, one of the first thing you can hear is Kameto (the french "general" during r/place 2022) say that "we went fucked up, we went way too big". We knew that yeah, it was probably too big. However, it was still free space tthat didn't overwrite anything. And even tho the Eiffel Tower they drew at first wasnt too great (also due to how many attacks they got on the flag), they eventually drew much more beautiful things on it, and used a lot of the space on the flag for art. The flag was supposed to be a background. But with all the attacks they got, they couldn't get nearly as much art done as they may have wanted to.
@@Kya10 Yes, before BTS attacked, I liked a lot the art made, and also the mexican flag comes to my mind 5:46 , it wasnt too big, that helped to make the details, now im watching french streamers to see the whole picture, and well... even politicians got involved, that explains the "bots"
@@pax1217 No, that last part isn't true. Politicians involved themselves for clout; but no one joined because of them. The reason people thought we were botting is, once again, in the video I linked earlier. They had a system where they grouped their forces into 4 teams, depending on their season of birth; and rotated between the 4 of them. At peak, the french streamers had 600k+ viewers. That's 150K people placing a pixel every 75seconds. That's why people thought we were botting. And, truth be told, I wondered at some point myself.
We have Animes and Mangas since the 70's/80's (rising of the north star etc) on TV; even Dragon ball was aired way before the US, 80's in France lol what did you expect. anime and animation in general is big in France even Arcane is made by a French studio. There are only two categories of people that can claim french streamers used bots: liars and idiots, pick your side. The amount of proofs they didn't is quite large: When the flag and art was attacked heavily they focused the defense on keeping the flag, because it was simpler, bots do not care if the drawing is simple or complex. The arc de Triomphe was teeming with amogi that went unnoticed, bots would have corrected that too. The One Piece fresque on the top was actually part of the overlay, yet it didn't whitens nearly as fast as the flag, autodestroying bots would have erased that too. (plus, we have clips of braindead americans and spanish screaming like animals to attack french flag, failing to grasp it was the end of the event, something french streamers figured in seconds) We have a clip of spanish streamers being explained what the french overlay was (thing a lot of people used, Wubby included) Of course it took a long time, because they are far from being the sharpest knife in the drawer. The dude explaining it also went and said that his script (the one spanish used) was placing pixels automatically. In this very video we can see how bots do not work 4:40 . Bots would not have bothered to do a blank (here green) canvas to draw over it, a lot of black pixels would have stayed black. As a general rule, try to be smarter than Rubius, Ibai or Hasanabi, i doubt they can function without having a recording telling them to breathe every few seconds.
I was helping maintain our Mexican flag borders and the French started expanding it to fuck with Spain, then Mexican Tiktokers started to promote the expansion and it was a mess, we tried to coordinate with the armed forces of Switzerland to stop the expansion and maintain our borders, but couldn't stop it, the firepower was to much, there was no turning back, our troops had fallen... and the flag became asymmetrical. Then Guatemala flag on our side got hit by a hentai car, which was a pretty dope car ngl, but we also tried to help.
the Swiss flag was organized by a French-speaking Swiss streamer who was integrated into the French raid group organized by ZeratoR and MrAntoine-Daniel :x (i was on his live but i don't remember his name)
Hello i'm french , i was on the zerator's stream at this moment , it was so funny to write HUMAN and your reaction was hilarious , it was a very good time on r/place
I was part of French streamers and we saw that flag being created, none of us did start. Turns out, spanish streamers had nothing on this page and decided to fuck this page and wanted to make "global war" to other streamers from diff countries, starting with France. So they drew the french flag and the eiffel tower above other pics (when French focused on the big french flag). so people blame France and they would blame on others and others would blame on others too and so on... even the "butt girl" disappear from them :-(
As a french guy and a member of your community, I worked on both sides to maintain art, and I can tell, as far as I know, and with what I saw both on discord and on streams, that people didn't use bots. It was just a huge hive mind, and it was well coordinated!
The French community is just much more united and organized. Many of us have not slept to defend our country because others have worked hard to destroy our works instead of doing theirs. Next time respect the spirit of r/Place and let's all build in harmony. Sorry if my English is not perfect ^^ (don't play with the French we love our country and we have too much ego)
The Nordic countries had a union and a discord server, and it was *so* fun that first chaotic night. Hundreds of people thinking about what could be our contribution, laughing at stupid shit, listening in on the sneaky Swedes planning false flag attacks on Czechia, the main voice chat being a mix of diplomacy and screeching... I almost kind of hope they keep it every 5 years, makes it such an event.
I really liked what France did with the Flare Jinx and LoFi Girl eventually. Before that though it was kind of boring. Weren't the Spanish streamers using Bots to attack the French area? Why wouldn't it instantly go white after they were under constant attack? Edit: when I was watching it live it didn't look instant, but over the course of several minutes, so it looked more like an attack to me rather than the French using bots. Especially since it was a heavily contested area of apparently a million people. Pretty easy to erase something with that amount of people.
Yes spanish used real bots and the bts emblem they were botting is the first thing that disappeared cause the bots were constantly spamming cubes even when they all became white
The running theory is that they have bots/scripts that tell accounts to place tiles of certain colours every 5 minutes but when it changed to white only the bots continued but there was only one colour so they instantly wiped themselves out.
@@Tales23 the reality of things is that the BTS flag which was botted in by the spanish was the first thing to disappear and then all the US communities noticed the white cube thing and attacked all at once, no french used a single white block on the french construct it was just the center of attention and the thing to attack first. They also got help from over a dozen other communities. At least one politician and a handful of brands raised awareness. Europe seemingly is built different when it comes to coming together for online events
How Quebec managed to hold a big area in the center with only about 20 people working on it at night and no more than a thousand during the day blows my mind. French man here. I explained everything in a comment not long ago. As for the flag becoming white, it was because the spanish streamers began to use and share bots with their community and decided to focus on France. It's not a false accusation, you can see in some spanish stream messages from the bots telling them where they put the pixel while the streamer were doing other things. When the only possible color became white, the spanish bots automatically changed the color of the french flag to white. There was no way for us to defend ourselves, so it quickly disappears (or surrender flag, if I assumed correctly what you will say). Like I said in the other comment, we had no ill intentions and are only disappointed with our neighbor Spain who cheated and were sore looser at the end.

France had a lot of allies too. I was with the One Piece community and we were helping the French BIG TIME when they were getting attacked.
They also allied all streamers' viewers into one giant group, instead of let each streamer manage independantly their communities, and this is why they were so coordinated and acted "like bots".
--
The next part of the comment is for trying to debunk the main accusations they've been afforded against them.
--
But all of this the Spanish and Americans don't want to understand and admid the fact that how much the French community have this unique ability to make massive alliance to defending their territory. They raised up a bit more than €10,000,000 at the latest Zevent, in October 2021, so if this was not another proof of this alliance ability, I really wants to know where they were went to print the money they've donated to the charity.

We have so many proof that it wasn't bot:
- The only thing we got was the same script that Wubby used that shows which pixel goes where. It's totally open source and multiple post on r/place show the difference between our script and the one used by spanish for example.
- If we were botting, the little amongi around the Arc de Triomphe would have disappear in a second, which wasn't the case
- We were in general 300k viewers and almost 700k at the end of the event. Our place take "only" 125k pixels and you were focussing a little part of it, so it was easy for us to defend it and doing some little raid at the same time. The only moment we struggled was during the night for us when we were 50k against xQc huge community and when Spain started to use real bots (their script was connected to an external server and was automatically placing the pixel at the right place)
We showed multiple time that we deserved this place
Maybe some guys used bots, I actually don't know, but it was definitly not pushed by streamers on their live.

We won defence thanks to our dedication, consequence of our pride.
Don't worry, this proves everything: ruclips.net/video/2YvjcEgPJLA/видео.html
There are only two categories of people that can claim french streamers used bots: liars and idiots, pick your side.
The amount of proofs they didn't is quite large:
When the flag and art was attacked heavily they focused the defense on keeping the flag, because it was simpler, bots do not care if the drawing is simple or complex.
The arc de Triomphe was teeming with amogi that went unnoticed, bots would have corrected that too.
The One Piece fresque on the top was actually part of the overlay, yet it didn't whitens nearly as fast as the flag, autodestroying bots would have erased that too. (plus, we have clips of braindead americans and spanish screaming like animals to attack french flag, failing to grasp it was the end of the event, something french streamers figured in seconds)
We have a clip of spanish streamers being explained what the french overlay was (thing a lot of people used, Wubby included) Of course it took a long time, because they are far from being the sharpest knife in the drawer.

France wasnt using bots, its simply the level of organization, of course some streamr will lose if they try to go against an entire nation, its the same reason Germany and turkey had so much power
France = Alpha male Community (1vs9 Btw)
This is like a world war but everyone is playing a game of telephone before they make a move
The Canadian flag is such an embarrassment. We clearly didn't try hard enough.
Bruh find the heat map post on r/place, the Canadian flag had the biggest hotspot on the entire map lol. It was getting griefed 24/7
At least you got something at the end unlike Spain lol
72h still not done the leaf xD
I like the Daft Punk edit reference while they were writing out “Human”
Its not bots, the french are the better that all ! 🇫🇷🇫🇷🇫🇷
Kameto is a good general.
And we have a bad président who make many unemployed young
Wait ? It is the same script that french use?
Yes it is
I think the script was originally created by some of the dudes at r/osuplace… eventually it just spread to other communities
French say no bots but just disappears in a single stroke when the white out happened lmao
@@guillaumep1268 also if we botted how come our accounts werent banned from reddit when that happened to the other side who publicly claimed to use them (and some people even complained about being banned on their chat lmao) and how come all those among us stayed if our place was all bots and pixels being automatically replaced ? Also if people stayed till the end and watched the streams of Ibai and the french they would know how it went down and how the only colour available at the end was tun tun tun... white haha. The picture showing where there was the most activity pointed at the place where France (and poor Canada) so yeah, that turned white pretty quick. It's amazing how much people speak and yet didnt watched the streams. Reminds me of that guy that said french attacked Osu at the end and then was like "oh I didnt know actually I was playing Elden Rings" when he was told "show us the clip. Osu was already white and was called to be the starting point for the F of France". It would be cool if people really stopped speaking without knowing what's up (like that spanish girl who cant hear the difference between 17k upvotes and 17k bots lol). The thing we did at the end was to play as the white void when our place turned white so we could consume everyone around, write France/Frites/Free mdr and put white also in the top left corner. I mean what can you do when all the colour you have left is white ? 😆

No bots, during the night of the infamous ass grieffing we have been destroyed as never before.
Also, there are 2 heatmaps that prove we did it legitimately.
So, it was fun, see you soon
i remember watching wubby7 go from a masterpiece to straight green then back within a couple minutes lol was classic
Nah french don't need bot when they have skill 😎
Bien dit
No bots, we are just proud roosters
Xqc was kind of a butt head at the end
the title of the video should be "PROOF FRANCE NEVER SURRENDER AND IS THE BEST COUNTRY"
Wubby losing it at the French is satisfying.
"Ah Man I'm french" no clue why that made me crack up so hard😂
"Bonjour motherfuckers, escargot ma cargot - nomsayin?" was the funniest line from the entire stream
Hello from the r/KGATLW gator gang!! Glad you guys were our neighbors and allies!!
If you don't know Zerator, he's "the guy that saved trackmania"
It was great to fight for france against fun guys like you. Unfortunately i wasn't boting, we just follow our general.
Thanks for this moment of internet.
The ragebait title is brilliant. Gets that free interaction boost from the frogs
did I miss the proof? lol
don't know if it's just me but the whole "they have to wake up, look in the mirror and remember that they're french" feels like a TopGear Reference
I'm laughing my arse off at all the french people being triggered. Also that title, man. That's certainly a hook.
I was part of the HU MAN raid. Loved the reaction and was glad to see it didn't take too long to rebuild. For what it's worth, I doubt Zerator was even aware of your past history with the smaller french flag in the upper left. I just found out about it watching this. That flag was done by the french reddit community, and we weren't directly affiliated with them, and in the middle of all that it was super hard to keep up with everything that was going on.
Oh and loved the Space Duck! That plot's also got lots of funny history. At one point it was a roblox character with multiple dongs pointing right at us. They were loaded dongs. War is truly hell.
Widowmaker absolutely assblasted r/microtonal's design, was funny but sad at the same time
People shouldn't be hating on bots, they should be hating on Reddit.
Reddit purposefully removed restrictions from the past Place that were to minimize bots, instead of putting more. At that point you have the prisoner's dilemma and the only option is a bot arms race. Otherwise you'll just be the only one getting wiped. It's why every large group had bots, and it's why multiple small groups were punching above their weight.
France wasnt even botting, they just had a good coordination. It is a well know fact that french Twitch viewers are incredibly engaged with their favorite streamers, we can clearly see this with the ZEvent which raised 10 million euros in a very short amout of time (world record btw)...
It's great reddit let France win in the end, making it an all white flag was brilliant.
Ain't it ironic that the French only have the bravery to fight this hard when they're wielding a keyboard?
@@DoctorDerpman What the actual fuck are you talking about? I'm not sure if youre talking about general wars or anything but if you are let me remind you that France has the single highest warfare victory count
@@DoctorDerpman finally you recognize that we don't surrender so easily 😉😉
bro poeples saying france using bots... you dont understand french streamers was highest community in twitch, with highest streamer views on the platform, they attack and defend at same time, not like spain and english streamers. They are independant with their one community, like 1 streamer saying to his community attack this, french streamers make one big community, and saying at same time attack this thing or defend the flag. If mayby they using bots, are you dont think poeples who attack dont using bots ? like biggest community on twwitch was french, everyone was versus france and used bots even cant taked it lol
This was a pretty cool thing for streamers to interact with their community in a new way
and f-ck up little artists's creations to just put their logo or just asses. (like XQC did here: 7:24)
@@Siturba That's how it goes. Its a free for all. I guarantee you flags destroyed much more small art then all the streamers combined. Flags have numbers because of national pride and some of them with large numbers kept getting bigger and bigger. Many wouldn't know who is trying to add art to the flag or overtake it so it ends up a giant almost blank space with a few lines and two or three boring colors.
@@billfred9411 Did i say that flags were good? :)
Don't make me say what i didn't.
@@Siturba Wut? i didn't say you said anything I was simply pointing out the whole thing is cutthroat and pointing out anyone crushing small communities is pointless. Don't put words in my mouth saying I put words in yours

Wha?
Bots ?
I mean, at some point we were 750k+ French people following the French Twitch streamers, not counting the French Discord communities and others.
Even Macron, The president of France talked about this r/place thing at some point.
It had become France vs the world in the end, but we're used to this, and we're good at it.
Victoire.
