@neffyg35 if he's a general manager, he might just check in with the cooks, but if not, a manager would cook for a waiter if cooks need help or there aren't as many cooks
they leave the suspect alone to see if they will like mutter a confession under their breath, another reason is to het him to just want to be outta that room so he’ll just confess
another reason is to gauge their cadence and how they hold themselves when they feel like they're alone. Most people forget cameras are up in ceilings, so when they see the detectives leave the assume they're alone, and they look for people trying to act a particular way to game a story from detectives (ie the people who pretend to be "crazy" trying to get an insanity plea, when in reality its just a bit)
They can use it for many many reasons lol. Just remember in this instance he had no clue it was about the disappearance. They wanted to see his behavior when calm vs when pressured
One thing many people seem to fail to realize when they send a messages over someone else's phone, is that people have a certain cadence and talk in specific ways even over text you would instantly be able to see if someone wasn't who they said they were if you know the person
...they really didnt have to ask much. He put himself at the scene, then gave them a motive cuz he was upset at her and then basically let us know he is an agressive person when mad😂
The way rules are written, and with how good laywers are at playing the "but he never confessed or admitted it" card, they needed a full confession to avoid all of that headache.
It's crazy to me how these criminals can be so low IQ they dont know when to shut it and demand for a lawyer. Detectives are not your friends and being smart askingnfor a lawyer doesnt make you look guilty. It makes you competent to understand the gravity of your position.
The dumb ones brag usually id rather the dumb ones then the smart ones tbh. A decent amount of killers have been caught bc of getting drunk and bragging at bars
They make him wait to put him on edge, frustrate him, so he's more anxious when they come in. It's a tactic. If he was really smart, he'd ask for a lawyer. I had scissors. 😅
Not a detective here, but a fan of interrogation videos: making the subject wait 90 minutes is a pretty common strategy used if the cops have enough evidence that the suspect is a dangerous criminal. It is intended to emotionally drain the person so they are less likely to confide information and it makes it easier to detect when they are lying.
* The 90 minute wait was to make him uncomfortable and anxious. * The tells are a weird thing though. I'd be convicted of so many things if they were only based off "tells." It might work on some people, but personally I don't believe it is meaningful most of the time. I feel like people just do random things when they feel like they don't know what to do whether or not they are innocent. For me, my pulse raises quite high in areas where I feel like I don't know exactly how to explain something. * There are a lot of people that are quite observant of things that happen. They can tell you everything that they observed in a particular area. That is a personality thing.
Cops can see if you’re lying or not by body language with enough preparation. They ask you questions, you know like “what’s your name/family member’s name, Where do you live? Etc”. Then they watch for discomfort in your body when asking the crucial questions
Remember the scene from Lord of the Rings, where the Orcs are torturing information out of Gollum to find the ring. 🤷♀️ Honestly don’t think there is an excuse for not knowing how she died.
I will do "The Dave Chappelle School of Criminal Interogation" Interogator: "where were you at the time of the murder?" me: "B***h! I Told you im working on Burger King!!"
These tricks are so good they are also known to make people who were fully innocent into confessing, because the "proof" they had were so hard that they were gonna go to prison anyways, so if they confess they would get "less" time in prison.
18:01 “I think she and her family are due that knowledge” this man thinks that the girl that is no longer with us needs to know that she is no longer with us?
The best strategy is to wave your right to remain in silence and ask for a lawyer, even if you're innocent, because the only thing copers want is a conviction and does not matter from whom that comes from.
Oh dear, that means I'm chronically screwed because I automatically remember, save and recall more things in my environment than what my environment is called. Not that those around me are stupid. But they also say I remember too many things. I'm screwed in an interrogation.😂
awful situation. It sucks the poor girl had her life ripped from her like that. Though, it is odd he got 2nd degree murder... from the sounds of it that was voluntary manslaughter to my knowledge. maybe they confessed further? idk
I was a detective. I'd talk to someone for 20 minutes about nothing important. Id get a baseline for their body langue. Then, when we start to question and that baseline changes a few times I can usually clock that tell.
I saw the map at the end of the video and realized this is close to me by like 20 minutes smh this is so sad. When I lived in Valdosta GA same thing happened watch a video on RUclips of a murder and it happened 10 minutes away. Super scary and sad :(
The cheating part is somewhat "easy" to explain: murdereres/kidnappers/childtouchers/etc lack morals, so nothing is off the table... these are times we live in today actually (tbh i'm not a moralist, but still i think we should've the bare minimum of human decency)
The whole body language is actually legit and its not only w human but all animals there are some obvious like smiling but some are more tricky like crossing ur arms it mostly mean ur trying to gard and protect urself from the person in front of u thise kinda trick are what ur sub concious use to give u intuition about a person Plus it depends on the situation they also made him more anxious w the wait at the start wich makes his body language more apparent
I’m glad you persistently call out cheating! Such a good thing not to normalize this! If you can’t be faithful, have an open relationship or nothing but don’t lie!
