When the cop was talking about doing a theft, he meant that he would charge the women for theft of the dog. Which they should've done in the first place. Also a side note. Its hard to tell but the dog looks like a great pyrenese. They're lifestock guardian dogs meant to protect other animals like goats, sheep, cattle, ect. We have 2 on our farm. We took it to the groomer friend who started cutting the chunks out of her fur and talking about finding a vet to determine it’s age and find a new home for it. A few hours into the hair cutting session she got a phone call from someone saying they found out who the owners were. They were our neighbors from across the street. Jesús the amount of stress this caused me is insane. Holding onto the collar possibly choking the dog because of your selfishness??? Wtf is wrong with people
Even if she took the dog because it was being abuse, its still theft. Just call the police to investigate, they would charge the owner with animal abuse.
I own several dogs and when dogs vomit they either are sick, didn't eat enough that day so their bile in their bellies is irritating them to the point of vomiting, or they are scared/very stressed out. Same goes for pooping, if the dog poops but is properly housebroken then they are either scared/very stressed out or sick or you just didn't let them outside in time and they couldn't hold it in anymore. Everything has its limits. And the fact that this Hutt of a woman let the dog free off the leash when her man was pinned to the ground tells me that she actually didn't give TWO SHITS about the pups safety. A lone dog in the streets at night in the rain and cold would not last long unless it was like a Husky or any other Arctic breed. And even then finding food would be its own challenge and not to mention it could get hit by a car or get lost. She didn't want to save anyone she just wanted the "Savior Vigilante" badge to pin on her tacky ass blue hoodie.
It is clear this lady just wanted the dog an when she gets bored of it just releases it. She took the dog just cause she saw a lovely looking puppers that was easy to steal an didn't think of anything else.
She knows her date of birth, she realized she fucked up when she ADMITTED to stealing more dogs than just one and didn't want to be investigated for serial larceny.
As a pet owner myself I would be very upset if someone stole my pet. She needs to do more than 25 hours of community service. You can't just go around stealing people's pets and not accept there to be consequences. Even if the owner was abusive that still wouldn't justify stealing the dog. 🤦♀️
If a dog is abused, it's very unlikely it will be this trusting, to instantly trust a stranger like that. It's a very well mannered dog. So no chance it was being abused, it was pure theft.

These people are definitely not fit to take care of a dog. Their house is messy and cluttered, the dog could easily eat some of the stuff it finds on the floor, they assumed a dog's medical problems with no medical experience and basically committed kidnapping. These people should be banned from being able to adopt a dog.
Even if the owners were abusing the dog, you really shouldn't take matters into your own hands. Contact animal services and present them proof (video evidence, photos, etc.). If anything, the stealer is putting the dog into more distress by holding on to it during the police intervention. And have you seen the house? Doesn't look like an environment a dog should live in. And releasing the dog? What were you thinking? What if it crosses the road, risking to get run over? What if it gets lost and has no place to sleep or eat?
As someone who had their cat taken away in a car accident (a car drove over him), i hate when people take someones pet away, not knowing where they are, if theyre even alive, if they are well, the worry that causes is unbearable. At least the people who hit my cat were cordial enough to come over and apologise and explain what happened, they even took him off to the side so that no other cars would further harm him. But holding your pet when the rigor mortis sets in is unbearable, feeling that limp body stiffen up is horrible, the warmth leaving their body.
"If she does not return the dog, we will do a theft" means they will charge her with theft if she refuses to return the dog, which is property, under the law.

They're usually very well tempered and friendly on average. Though they'll turn aggressive if you try to hurt the owners and hurt the animals.
Girl pulled a PETA move. At least she didn't euthanize it as soon as they stole the poor pup like PETA did 😭

I tell u, from personal experience, it's the worst feeling to not only have to deal with a nut bag Karen trying to steal ur DOG (I'm a major dog lover) and have them accuse u of abusing them at the same time.. I'm s grown man, and it almost made me cry. Like, that's my baby ur talking about, she's not abused.. anyway, yah, a guy did that to me, I almost stabbed him.. luckily my homeboy pulled me away and had me and some other homies come back and get Tootsie back for me. I tried to go 1v1 bare knuckle, but lost.. but fuck it, ur still not taking my dog. Period. My dog is my baby ❤️ RIP Tootsie.
If that dog had Parvo he'd be in a worse condition. In fact they should be on medication. So if that dog was sick with parvo she could have potentially gotten it killed.
There's a reason why being a law enforcement officer is difficult, no matter who you are (in America at least) everyone thinks you are one of the ones using excessive force and when you aren't you are dealing with crazies that make you almost want to and if you are one of the abusive cops you get people who should be very easy to deal with.
My cat got stolen by someone I know and it’s really hard to get the police to do something so I’m glad these cop actually did something

Why do people even steal dogs. What do they plan on doing with it? Sell it? Use it for dog fighting? Just out of pure entitlement?

Either they really think the dog is "oppressed" and want to free it
Or just want a free dog for Themselves.
Pretty much Selfishness.
I remember this one time I found a dog just wandering the street. It came up to me smelling me and I looked down and was completely shocked at what I saw this poor little dog was blind in both eyes. Just big merky foggy cataracts. Rotting teeth, and it’s fur was so matted and mangy it was hanging in chunks on its back, chest, and front legs and had no fur at all on its stomach and back legs. The things looked AWFUl. I brought it inside and showed my mom and my mom and I gave it a bath and the dog was trusting as hell. She called her friend who was a dog groomer who could rescue the dog and this dog was so thankful for her bath she laid on her back on the towel we were drying her with and waving it’s front paws up and down like it was trying to play. We took it to the groomer friend who started cutting the chunks out of her fur and talking about finding a vet to determine it’s age and find a new home for it. A few hours into the hair cutting session she got a phone call from someone saying they found out who the owners were. They were our neighbors from across the street. They were accusing us of stealing the dog and threatening to get the police involved and I said “the police would take our side this poor blind dog was left alone outside” and the groomer said “no the police with side with the owner, the dog is their property” and we ended up having to give the dog back, I was so pissed.

I hope they look into those other dogs she has too because chances are she stole them all.

Jesús the amount of stress this caused me is insane. Holding onto the collar possibly choking the dog because of your selfishness??? Wtf is wrong with people
Only In America, don't know what else to say ☕🗿
I volunteer and do training at a shelter and this woman making the dog basically a stray; lost , scared, confused…. It’s sickening.
If someone took my pet and i found the person that stole that did that they’re getting a 150 mile spin kick to the face
Bro turned into the fucking Prowler ☠️
She knows her date of birth, she realized she fucked up when she ADMITTED to stealing more dogs than just one and didn't want to be investigated for serial larceny.
As a pet owner myself I would be very upset if someone stole my pet. She needs to do more than 25 hours of community service. You can't just go around stealing people's pets and not accept there to be consequences. Even if the owner was abusive that still wouldn't justify stealing the dog. 🤦♀️
I wouldn't leave a dog or child with these people. They obviously struggle to look after themselves.
If a dog is abused, it's very unlikely it will be this trusting, to instantly trust a stranger like that. It's a very well mannered dog. So no chance it was being abused, it was pure theft.
Looks can be deceiving I remember this one time I found a dog just wandering the street. Theft is theft. Even if the home was abusive, that doesn't give you the right to steal dog, just call animal animal protection services
Jabba saw the dog on someone's porch and took it. There's no "abuse" of the animal. It'd be abuse to keep an animal in that hoard.
Stealing someones dog is an awful thing to do. Pets in most households the majority of the time are basically like family. Are you sure you didn't mean to say 'eat' instead of 'steal'?
These people are definitely not fit to take care of a dog. Their house is messy and cluttered, the dog could easily eat some of the stuff it finds on the floor, they assumed a dog's medical problems with no medical experience and basically committed kidnapping. These people should be banned from being able to adopt a dog.
she just wanted to have some fried dog to eat, she looks hungry
she wanted more than one kind of hot dog that day
If you get caught shoplifting is it no longer theft when you give the items to cops who were called? Of course it's still theft.
Did she want to eat it?
Probably yes
If she works for PETA. They probably took it so they can kill it
*Nom Nom Nom* Doggo so good!
Judging by her size, yes.
It's because that she comes from [ JOKE CANCELLED ]
Even if the owners were abusing the dog, you really shouldn't take matters into your own hands. Contact animal services and present them proof (video evidence, photos, etc.).
If anything, the stealer is putting the dog into more distress by holding on to it during the police intervention. And have you seen the house? Doesn't look like an environment a dog should live in. And releasing the dog? What were you thinking? What if it crosses the road, risking to get run over? What if it gets lost and has no place to sleep or eat?
I am pretty sure, if the owners did not care about their dog, they would not have called the police to get the dog back from her.
If it was an abusive owner, the first thing any REAL vigilant would do would call 911, maybe grab the dog and then call 911, but still call 911.
