I have trouble with binoculars having insufficient Interpupillary Distance. I am at 76mm so this Leupold fits the bill perfectly with 2 mm to spare. thanks for the review
I have these in a 10x52 and I notice 2 things. A big full image, very bright, very sharp image out to like 250 yards, the focus knob is narrow meaning if you move it even slightly it will be out of focus. For the money I LOVE these. I’m considering also buying the 12x52’s but I’ve heard they’ll be difficult to use
I bought the 12x52s for my gf and i like them alot. We use them on a tripod more, but can be used just holding up to your eyes yourself without feeling too heavy

I appreciate your review and the effort you guys put into these reviews/comparisons. That said, the only thing I would have enjoyed seeing is what comes with the binos in the box. It seems to me that Leupold and Vortex are both providing some good and useful stuff in the box, such as neck strap, bino case, etc.

My girlfriend bought me a pair of Leupold 6x30 Yosemite’s. I never was a binocular snob. I grew up with K-Marts and Jason’s. I am a changed man but am still trying to wrap my head around the Alpines and McKenzies being even better
Those Yosemite 6x30 are really good. I own them along with the Vortex DB 8x32 and Leupold Alpine 10x42. I find a 6x and 10x are a very good combination for different types of hunting. Those Yosemite 6x30 were my first decent pair of hunting binoculars. At times I felt needed more magnification in really open country so I tried the Vortex DB 8x32 but was kind of disappointed in them. I then bought the Leupold Alpine 10x42 and am very impressed with their clarity and low light performance. The Yosemites are my still hunting binoculars in wooded terrain while my Alpines are my open country hunting binoculars. Those Yosemites are very hard to beat for what they cost.
Leupold and Carson do not have a no fault warranty like Vortex does. You can literally run over Vortex brand products with your 4x4 truck and scrape them off of the ground and mail Vortex the broken pieces and get a brand new replacement no questions asked.
Late to this party but looking for input. Feel like I’ve narrowed my search to these Leupold Alpines and the Hawke Endurance. Going with 8x32, leaning towards Leupolds right now. Thoughts are greatly appreciated!
Gonna throw my opinion in here. 8x42, 10x42 or 10x50 are all decent options for hunting. It really depends on where you are hunting, and what you need. But these are typically going to be your best option, because they offer plenty of zoom, while staying in a form factor that is light and easy to carry on your body. Also, staying in that 42-50 objective lens size offers a good field of view, and good low light quality.
Something with a zoom such as a 7-21x magnification zoom. I have a very old vintage Tasco 7-21x it's a lot better than the fixed single power magnification binoculars these days when used for hunting for sure. I bought the Bushnell 10-22x zoom binoculars that's not as good as the old vintage Tasco. Maybe the Nikon version might be better than the Bushnell but their warranty sucks.
When you tested the leupold / vortex had they changed to the "hd" marketing yet? Not that it much matters, i'm sure the optical formulas are the same regardless of the hd label having slightly better coatings.

Kevin Tolbert Their rangefinders have a two year warranty because of the electronic aspect of the instrument. The electronics will fail before the body and glass on their rangefinders. But, don’t let this detour you on getting a rangefinder from them. I bought a Leupold rangefinder several years ago. Back when angle compensation just came out. They finally crapped out in 2109. I had them forever and used the shit out of them. I sent them into Leupold for “repair” knowing they’d never be able to because they were so old. Good vid but y’all are saying Leupold like loophold
When you call Leupold, they say it like Loophold..strange
I picked up the alpine right before the 2019 hunting season. The finish doesnt hold up,glass and function were decent.I would not buy this price range again.I bit the bullet and got a pair of swarovski and cant go back.
I have a pair that are a year old. One tube will focus and the other won't. Very disappointed. Sending back after hunting season. Were great last year, but not this year.
Pair of W H A T ? ? ?
